This boutique-style hotel is delightful - from the central courtyard to the uniquely themed rooms. We stayed in ‘Frida’ in honour of artist, Frida Kahlo. It is spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and just a few steps away from the courtyard. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. In a perfect location - just a short walk to the Zocalo (main square) and to several cafes, bars and restaurants. I ordered my first Margarita here, enjoying sipping it in the courtyard after a day out and about, and as the photo shows, it was beautifully presented and delicious! I highly recommend Hotel El Sueño and would stay there again.

On our first evening in Puebla, we decided to go to dinner at the Mural de los Poblanos. On our way down there we came across Hotel Sueño and decided to give it a try. There was only one table occupied and they sat us down in their courtyard. They brought us the menus and we made our selections but had to wait ten minutes for someone to come. We asked them for wine and they brought us some cold cabernet sauvignon (no idea how long that bottle had been open). They didn't take our dinner order. We thought they would come back to take our orders but they never came. After twenty minutes we waved an employee down and asked them for the check. He brought it and I told him not to go so I could immediately pay him. He walked off. After five minutes, I got up and gave they payment to the first employee I saw (we just wanted to get out of there). We went to El Mural de los Poblanos and oh, what a difference! I thank the employees at Hotel Sueño for their terrible service because without it we would have never known what a jewel El Mural de los Poblanos is.

My wife & I will return to this hotel on our next trip to Puebla. I can’t think of any negative thing to say about El Sueño. The rooms were nicely appointed, the A/C worked & was quiet & the bathroom was large with plenty of hot water. We had a Jr. Suite & the friend traveling with us was in a Standard + room. Both were large & comfortable. Breakfast was included & was from a very complete menu. I think there are some restrictions on ordering from the menu for the simpler rooms. The staff was outstanding & all who had roles which required interactions with guests spoke English. Everyone made us feel welcome. |There is also bar & a terrace & food is served throughout the day & early evening.|The hotel is only a few blocks from the zocalo & the area appears very safe. |In summary, you won’t be disappointed staying here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stepping into El Sueño Hotel felt like entering a realm of luxury and comfort. The accommodations were not just outstanding, but a true testament to opulence. The rooms exuded warmth and elegance, making each moment spent indoors a pleasure. The staff, with their welcoming smiles and attentive service, ensured that every need was met promptly and with a genuine desire to exceed expectations. Their friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made the stay truly memorable. Nestled in a great location, the hotel offered convenience without compromising on tranquility. Whether exploring the city or simply enjoying the surroundings, the easy access to key attractions was a definite plus. As a modern traveler, fast wifi is always a priority, and El Sueño Hotel delivered impeccably. The seamless connectivity allowed for both work and leisure to coexist harmoniously. The air conditioning was a true blessing, especially in the warm Mexican climate. Returning to a cool and refreshing room after a day of exploration made the experience all the more enjoyable. The pool area was a haven of relaxation, offering a serene escape from the bustling city. The crystal-clear waters beckoned, providing a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the essence of Puebla. And the myriad of other amenities? Simply exceptional. From the unique artwork to the exquisite dining options, every corner of El Sueño Hotel radiated sophistication and comfort. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend El Sueño Hotel to fellow travelers seeking an unparalleled experience in Puebla. It is not just a place to stay; it is a destination in itself, where every moment is crafted to perfection.

This place is absolutely beautiful, with excellent, detail oriented staff. I had my chihuahua puppy with me, and part of the $340 peso pet fee included breakfast for her as well as me!! We were very surprised at breakfast after I ordered my meal, when the waiter asked what my dog would like for breakfast as well, as it was included. Everything from valet at arrival to the easy, fast checkout process was amazing.

Quaint, charming, out of the ordinary. The service is faultless, from reception, to restaurant, to valet parking, all really good. Kudos to all staff. The breakfast a la carte was included, food was ok and very well presented. Take time to go to the roof to watch the sunrise. You can see the main cathedral from there. The hotel is in a perfect location . The swimming pool is very small and does not look appealing at all.|One place for improvement is in the room called Izadora, the water at the bathroom sink does not empty properly, this is a known issue that could not be resolved while we were there. |As such I am giving this hotel 4 stars.

Just beautiful! Very quiet. Water takes quite some time to warm up but it eventually does. Only disappointment is the room coffee isn’t free. 50 pesos for a coffee pod seems steep and honestly should be free and included.

Yelp
Very nice hotel in a great location. Not too far from the square. Rooms named after famous Hispanic people. Breakfast was great and the hotel is nicely decorated.

Yelp
This place has so much potential: nice colonial building, nice bar and rooftop, a good menu with acceptable prices... but they need a chef and an experienced bartender. I was here with my boyfriend and a friend for diner in the middle of the week. The food and service were just ok... The drinks were waaaaaay too sweet! With such a beautiful name, I was disappointed: my dreams of having a delicious diner vanished after the first sip and bite.

Yelp
This is nothing less than a FIVE STAR hotel. From the gorgeous building itself, to the beautiful decor, to the rooms named with international stars, to the spectacular included breakfast. We wanted to flee Mexico City and decided to head to Puebla. Found a great deal online and wound up in the rooftop suite. I've stayed in every level of hotel and this is the finest room I've ever stayed in. We were both sick,so we stayed in our first night and had room service which was spectacular. The cream of mushroom soup was the thing of dreams. Every breakfast was equally good. The staff goes out of their way to help and I mean that literally. My wife stopped in at the bar to order a Sangria, assuming she'd take it back to her room herself. But the staff her won't allow a client to go through such a bother and they insisted on bringing it upstairs themselves after making it. My wife speak a little Spanish and the staff speaks a little English and they were with giving information. The view from the rooftop is spectacular and on a clearish day you will get the most amazing view of the Volcano you will see in Puebla.

Yelp
So good, this hotel. I loved my stay here. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the whole place is so beautiful. The hotel is so close to good bars (Belgian beer, I'm thinking of you) and restaurants (Dari on the corner). The room I stayed in was super cool and spacious. Incredible, and really worth the price.
