This was our third visit to El Toboso. The apartments are an excellent value. The kitchens are well equipped and have washers. They are also spacious. The decor is dated, but this adds charm, and the beds are new and quite comfortable. There is free wifi, and only rarely is it slow. Large windows allow for air to move through the apartment, and the view toward Gran Via at sunset is beautiful. The main reason for staying here is convenience. The Plaza Mayor is a short stroll away and the Mercado Central is just across the street. If you are on a budget, the Mercado Central is one of the best places to buy meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Three chain markets are also a five minute walk from the hotel. Some reasonable places to eat out are Las Torres in the Plaza Mayor (breakfast) and El Patio Cordobés across the street (lunch). Both are excellent quality. Finally, the staff here make all the difference. They are attentive, professional, courteous, helpful and most of all delightful. I can't recommend this place enough!

I stayed over in Salamanca for one and the guy at El Toboso made sure I had the perfect trip. His recommendations to eat were great and the directions were very helpful. The hotel is in an amazing location and is beautiful. The room was big with a lovely en suite and bathroom. Incredibly affordable price given how nice this place this. Highly recommended. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

The best and worst feature of this hotel is the location. Best because it's only a very brief walk from the main square, and worst because it's inaccessible by car (and possibly difficult to find).||||The car part is solved once you get directions to a nearby underground parking station (about 12 euros/day). Keep in mind that this is still ten minutes walk from the hotel. To put the parking rate into perspective, it is adding 25% to your daily rate since the hotel only cost us 45 euros/day.||||Once installed in the hotel however, you get the benefit of the location and everything is close. And Salamanca is such a great town to explore, with everything you'd want to see within easy walking distance from the hotel.||||The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, providing good tips on restaurants and even the location of what must be the world's best churros bar. Churros and thick chocolate for breakfast - has to be tried at least once! In any case the hotel has essentially no breakfast facilities, so you're on your own there.||||Our room was on the small side, but perfectly fine. The bathroom had everything needed, although a bit dated. There's an elevator, which is a mixed blessing if your room is located opposite the elevator since you'll "benefit" from hearing all the comings and goings at all hours of the night.||||I rate the hotel "very good", this being driven in large part by the excellent location. If the hotel was anywhere else, it would be "average".

We booked a two bed apartment for a five night stay in April and were very pleased with our stay. The locations is great very close to the Plaza Mayor and all Salamanca tourist attractions are in walking distance. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The reception service excellent. This is a traditional spanish property, with narrow stairwells, and small elevator, and views from the apartments are of the rooftops and narrow alley ways in the city, this all added to the charm though. The only criticisms would be limited kitchen equipment, e.g utensils, plates etc and lack of a comfortable sofa to relax on in the evening. There is a sofa in the living area but it is not a comfy place to sit and relax.

This hotel is located directly next to the Plaza Mayor in a little alley across from a delicious seafood restaurant. The reception workers are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nothing special but they are clean and have everything you need. For the price you pay, you can't expect luxury. ||||I would definitely stay here again just because of the value.

Located down a small street by the Plaza Mayor. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable if a little small. Very much a place to lay your head after making the most of the city. Quiet but there dodn't seem to be many other people staying so it might be different if full.

The location is fantastic, close to good restaurants and sights. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest and most enthusiastic person who proceeded to give us a great run down on restaurants, bars etc. which was great as we only had two days to explore. The room was very comfortable and clean. A great budget option.

Arrived very late due to the car breaking down. The man in reception ( sorry never did get your name) couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.||He told us here we could get good tapas and tourist areas to avoid, which didn't disappoint.||The rooms themselves are basic but very clean and thoroughly adequate.||The next day although were due to leave we couldn't until late due to the car being at the garage. Again the man was extremely helpful letting us use the hotel and even ringing the garage to get updates on the car.||Many thanks for being so nice.||John
