If you like historic hotels, this one is for you.  It is from the 1300s but with modern amenities,  somewhat unique.   We apparently got the smaller of their rooms which served our purpose of a clean room with great service and within old Town for easy access to historical sites and restaurants. It is easy to walk to most things but there are hills and cobblestones to tend with.  Our room was on the 3rd floor with the last flight of stairs being wooden and very creaky.  There is no elevator to our half of the hotel!  Being on the top floor also comes complete with the slanted roofs which can give you a headache if you hit your head one too many times.  Breakfast was surprisingly comprehensive for a small place with eggs, meats and cheeses, cereals, breads and veggies/salads in small individual serving cups.  There is a restaurant but it was closed both nights we were here. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Very modern hotel rooms and accommodations given the fact that it is one of the oldest hotels in Europe. Check in was easy, and concierge was accommodating in holding our bags until our room was ready. The location could not be better - quick walk to all the major sites (aside from the Nazi Rally Grounds and Court Room). Right around the corner was an amazing wine bar, and there were several authentic restaurants centrally located. We did not try the hotel restaurant, as there were so many to choose from in close quarters. Overall, cannot recommend this city and hotel enough for value, cleanliness, and service!

Really like the hotel. My room was spacious and very clean. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Only missing the last star because the pillows are terribly soft and not comfortable. Other than that I loved the place.

Overall had a very good experience! The hotel is located in the old city and a stone’s throw from the Christmas Market, however without being in the middle of the noise. We stayed in the fourth floor apartment, which had an amazing view of the city roof tops and churches. It was very clean, warm, and comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom smelled heavily of methane/sulfur - perhaps plumbing issues, given the age of the building. We had also booked two rooms in the complex, but they had to move one of our rooms to their sister hotel due to water damage. Overall a lovely family-owned/botqiue hotel though.

Everything was fantastic. Staff are great and speak great English and are helpful. Breakfast is so good and they give you plenty of foods to choose from. Rooms are delightful. Yes the shower stall is little but this has been normal for most rooms we've stayed in, so it's not a negative point for me. It really feels like a luxury hotel but at a reasonable price. Will stay here again if we come back to Nuremberg. 20 min walk to the main train hub takes you past lots of beautiful buildings too.

This hotel is a gem in the Alt stadt of Nuremberg. The location is perfect among the tiny streets of the city. Close to everything. Rooms had very good a/c and were spacious. Bathroom shower was tight and bathroom was smallish but that did not bother us. Breakfast was good. Great stay overall! The kids considered it a top hotel out of the 8 we stayed in during our European visits!

Stayed at Hotel Elch Boutique in studio apartment for two nights. Location exceptional, quiet street and within walking distance to everything in old town. Staff were wonderful, room clean and spacious, across the street. Parking available. Breakfast great. Highly recommend and will definitely return.|

Yelp
Really a gorgeous hotel that I would recommend to anyone. Excellent location in the Altstadt of Nuremberg, near the Durer House, castle and lots of bars and restaurants. It is a little further walk from the train station. The room we stayed in was truly beautiful, with a view of the old town's roofs and church spires. Exposed beams and plenty of space. A full kitchen for longer stays with dishes, stove, etc. Well-stocked minibar. They even provided an ice cube tray for those Americans who miss ice water! One of my favorite hotels.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights and had an excellent experience! The room was very clean and offered great amenities, and the hotel itself is walking distance to many great sights and shopping. Would love to stay here again
