Without a doubt, it was the friendliness, helpfulness and compassion of not only the two owners, but all the other staff of the hotel. I found myself spending time in Stara Zagora because of unexpected circumstances, and the help and assistance that was given to me was astounding. Nothing was too much trouble - phone calls were made on my behalf, information was sought for me, and offers to act as translators in any situation were made. Also, the owner drove me to the bus station in her own car, and helped me buy a ticket when I had to leave. For these reasons alone, I am very grateful to have chosen the Hotel Elegance. But the practicalities were also excellent. Rooms very clean and neat and comfortable - and the food was an added surprise. There is an extensive menu and the evening meals we had there were superb. I have visited Bulgaria twice before and have found the food good - fresh and simple. And so it was here - and cooked beautifully. Whoever is working behind the scenes in the kitchen there certainly understands good food. On two occasions, for lunch - they offered me a bowl of soup 'on the house'. One was a veal soup, the other chicken soup. Probably the best chicken soup I've ever had. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel that made a very difficult stay for me in Bulgaria just that little bit easier. Thank you.
