Hotel Elisabeth

Amazing location, amazing service, funny details …. Love it. Accomodation top. Foodservice great. Very very quiet rooms, where you can combine your business with pleasure. Small minus (but who am I) is there is no minibar in the room. But sometimes this might be an advantage.

The lobby looks like a Playboy's magazine issue, with photos of nude women in suggestive poses. While it may be attractive to some male customers I find it extremely offensive as a female customer. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most customers seem to be men. Rooms are ok. Location is great, in a quiet street very close to the city center.

Hotel looked great and was really modern. Two major reasons for the review, |1. The bathroom has no privacy, the glass is partially frosted but you can still see out and people can see in. I asked the front desk if I was missing blinds, they said no, no one goes on the patio that could see in.... two minutes later a group of people sat on the patio and moved when they saw me walking out of the shower... The other rooms facing mine could also see in, especially the ones above me. |2. I got a queen bed, it's just two twin beds pushed together, so you can only sleep on a twin unless you like to fall between the matresses.

Perfect hotel but had some issues with the ac first night. Personell offered another room the day after.

Good hotel although the lift is very slow (they do acknowledge that) and the front desk is not always manned. Rooms were very big and it was a good breakfast. I didn’t like the privacy glass in the bathroom - you could clearly see through the gaps and so I showered with the lights off!

The hotel is simply breathtaking. Personnel is super friendly and breakfast amazing (although I would add the typical Belgian squared yellow cream filled chocolate breakfast cookies). Fantastic swimming pool which was open on special request till midnight or early morning 7am even.

When we first arrived about one week ago, we were in a tough predicament with a wedding approaching and rooms for three people not being available on the days we needed them. Tina (I believe was her name) at the desk was so helpful and understanding, and she accommodated us in a way that made our stay at Hotel Elisabeth such an excellent experience! Her customer service as well as that of the hotel’s was unlike any we’ve experienced both in the States and abroad. Mechelen being very nice and safe is also a huge plus for this hotel’s location. It’s within walking distance of the train station, cathedrals, and an amazing Greek restaurant. I highly recommend Hotel Elisabeth to all visitors!

Really friendly hotel, great room, especially as there were three of us - there was plenty of space for the extra bed, helpful staff, nice breakfast. Car Parking was useful and the hotel is nice and close to the centre of the town. Recommended.
