Hotel Elphinstone Annexe

It was a very good experience of staying in the hotel, specifically with those 2 experienced gentlemen sitting on the reception. They were managing things really well. Cleanliness, food, service everything was perfect. They were also keen to help visitors with the information of good restaurant nearby or places to visit nearby. My room was also upgraded which was very spacious. Thank you for giving us such a nice experience.

CAUTION: Unmarried couples will not be allowed to stay in the hotel (foreigners are excluded from the rule but if one is an Indian citizen and the other a foreigner, you'll have to show proof of marriage). Overall decent stay for a good price. Main sights of the city are 15min away by car. Rooms were very clean and there was instant hot water. The hotel is nice on the inside but the building and staircase really isn't. Staff spoke English and complementary tea & coffee is served in the afternoon. Breakfast is okay - however they could season the eggs a bit more. Rooms are not cleaned daily and the AC filter in our room had to be cleaned as it smelled a bit dusty. 90% of rooms do not have a window so that's why the AC filter is even more important for fresh air. The AC was working just fine though.Overall, quite a nice stay.

The atmosphere and service was very pleasant. The rooms towards the backside of the hotel were nice and quiet. Cleanliness was good for some rooms but not sufficient for others. It situated close to the railway station, well in the city. Not in walkable distance though. Good value for money.

We spent a whole week at Elphinstone hotel and it was a wonderful week. Location is ideal, both central and ideal, the rooms are small but comfortable and well equipped, everything is spotlessly clean and breakfast is copious and tasty. But above all, the staff is are extremely kind, always friendly and helpful. Big thanks to all them from the five of us. We hope we can come again some day!

Extraordinary service - very polite and genuine staff, unlike corporates. Ajmal Sheikh was very helpful, so was the other reception staff and others too. Goes out of the way to help you in best possible way. Superb breakfast. Will always comeback to this accommodation for my Mumbai visits in the future.

My relative & I both stayed in separate rooms for 3 nights, bed & breakfast. My last day was today. We found the stay rto be Absolutely Brilliant.|The staff, accomodation, breakfast & location were FANTASTIC!!||I Highly Recommend this hotel, as it is The Best in Mumbai.

My stay at Elphinstone Annexe was very good. The staff is extremely professional, and the location is excellent—right in the center, close to Marine Drive and other key spots.

Very neat and clean hotel...staff is also well dressed and friendly nature.... breakfast is very good.....and all tourist place is near by this property.
