Where to Stay Near White Sands National Park

"Roll out of your king bed in the Deluxe Terrace Room crafted in collaboration with Virgin Galactic. Blending Southwestern aesthetics with space travel inspiration, this accommodation sports colonial-style French doors that open directly onto a private patio overlooking the terrace garden and pool. After a day of sledding in the dunes, indulge in a bite or beverage from the poolside menu. Located in downtown Las Cruces 50-minutes away from the park, this hotel features 203 guest rooms—some offering city or mountain views—adorned in rustic Spanish Colonial decor and local artwork. Choose the White Sands Package that provides visitors with two sand sleds, bottled water, and sunscreen when you book your stay."

Hotel Encanto was a wonderful experience for my husband and I. We came for a couples retreat, and we were immediately impressed with the beautiful lobby and Christmas decor, but the thing that made our experience memorable was the hospitality and service. The staff was exceptional. In particular Max was so personable, professional and welcoming. She really made us feel welcomed and provided excellent service. She made our visit memorable with her warm hospitality. We also especially enjoyed chef Josh’s enchiladas and the best tres leches cake we’ve had in a while! Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel for any event you are planning.

Desk staff was amazing very sweet very professional very welcoming. The morning restaurant staff was absolutely phenomenal. Food was great but the service was even better! We had a minor problem with the evening/bar staff. Were definitely not at all interested in serving us so we quietly left but the rest of the visit was absolutely excellent. The rooms are beautiful. The decor is just beautiful definitely worth what we spent.

Encanto is a true gem—beautiful, peaceful, and full of Southwestern charm. The views are gorgeous, the pool is relaxing, and the outdoor area glows at night with fire pits and a perfectly heated jacuzzi that quickly became my favorite spot.||I stayed here while in town for my PhD commencement and felt celebrated from the moment I arrived. Darion, the Guest Experience Manager, upgraded me to a stunning room and suggested I work with Kally to move to a pool-level room the next morning. That poolside room, with French doors opening onto the firelit patio, made it incredibly easy to unwind after long graduation days.||Moses, Denise, and Shannon kept me happily fueled with great food and excellent lattes, while Belia made me feel like part of the Encanto family with her kindness and conversation. In the bistro, Deseree ensured my chocolate martinis were spot-on and the lamb dish was a standout.||Encanto is just what this doctor ordered.

Such a wonderful experience and atmosphere to stay. The staff was amazing, especially Denise and Davion. They accommodated us, no matter how silly we got! This is our family meeting spot and never disappoints. Looking forward to our next family gathering.

The grounds and interior decor is awesome. I really like that part of my stay. The room was pretty basic. They were understaffed on Thanksgiving - it took 30 minutes to get a drink, and when my Gf went over to Ashlee to let her know how long we've been waiting, as other people were being served, her retort was, "Maybe this isn't a good fit for you." I'm thinking that job may not be a good fit for her. *Also expect random charges on your card that they don't tell you about, nor provide a receipt. When I called (twice) about the charges, the front desk was very dismissive. I like the hotel, but the current customer service people should be reminded of their job description.

Friendly staff Friendlier Mosquitos 🤣 We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel especially since we upgraded our room tothe terrace pool room. The staff allowed us to check in early and we immediately took part in their pool and hot tube which is AMAZING. The mosquitos were not messing around but that's what you get in NM till it gets cold. The ambiance was so relaxing and probably what also called in the mosquitos but if you come prepared it wont be a problem. We will be back again very soon and highly recommend this hotel. In my opinion I will never boom any room other than the Terrace Pool room!

This hotel was very nice. I liked the local flare of the furnishings and decorations. This hotel did not have the feel of "rubber stamp" chain hotels. The lobby was nicely decorated with crucifixes, a fountain, an angel statue, and religious paintings. The hotel staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room had heavy, solid wood furniture, was clean, with a comfortable king bed, and a great view of the city and mountains on the horizon.

The Lobby and Pool Area were beautiful. By comparison the room felt little underwhelming. The bed and bathroom were nice but the room didn't have its own AC unit so it took some time to cool the room via thermostat. No mini fridge in the room but it did have its own coffee maker. The friendly welcome and help I received from Selena made the stay easy and relaxing
