After a day of sledding in the dunes, indulge in a bite or beverage from the poolside menu. Located in downtown Las Cruces 50-minutes away from the park, this hotel features 203 guest rooms—some offering city or mountain views—adorned in rustic Spanish Colonial decor and local artwork. We cannot imagine a nicer stay... Daniella checked us in and greeted us like old friends… We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived! The room, 356, was stunning and we wished we were staying a week. Joel, from maintenance brought up a mini fridge and was tremendously accommodating and kind... We were greeted warmly in the restaurant by a server with long blond hair and glasses(I'm sorry to not have gotten her name) who made us feel welcome and apologized for a small wait to be seated... She invited us to relax at the bar... we did so and ended up eating right there... After a long journey we were delighted to find you had a top quality Cabernet, Decoy, as well as icy cold Corona. Sky was the bartender and again, offered great, friendly service. Lastly, upon check out Selena was wonderful and made us feel like family as we were leaving... Your entire team was laser focused on customer service and it shows... We chose your hotel many years ago because you were pet friendly and we returned for the same reason ( That, and the fact that the hotel is beautiful...) Pets are really WELCOME, and that is so very nice! We were glad to learn you were still pet friendly, and that the hotel still offered the same high quality service unmatched by the big chain hotels... Best Regards, Kacie

Went to hotel e for a funeral sadly but I had a great experience at this beautiful hotel! Really liked the Spanish style decor and all the beautiful crosses. Had a great experience with the bartender sky! She made me this amazing “sky blue” margarita and my wife had the cucumber spritzer drink that was very refreshing! Will return again!

Hotel Encanto has that old-school, classy Hispanic charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into something timeless—in the best way. From the architecture to the atmosphere, it’s elegant without trying too hard. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well put together. The outdoor pool area was a highlight—beautiful, relaxing, and perfect for soaking in the New Mexico sun. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Only gripe? The valet carts. The one we found had a flat tire and looked like it hadn’t seen maintenance in a while. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but a small detail that could use attention. Overall, we had a great stay and would absolutely return. A perfect blend of culture, comfort, and class.

Hotel Encanto had a rustic feel with cultural relics. The pool and outdoor area was beautiful, tropical and unlike the surrounding desert. We had a gorgeous view overlooking the pool and sunset. Unfortunately it was incredibly windy and dusty during our stay. We mostly visited with friends so didn't eat at the hotel.||There was some disappointment in that the room did NOT have a mini fridge or microwave. I don't know if it's available if you request either.||The service was accommodating. The room had only one power strip at the desk that was loose. The maintenance man happened to be at front desk and immediately took care of the issue and replaced the power strip. Yay!

Very nice hotel with a wonderful southwest feel. This morning, I was trying to think of something that was not in excellent condition, but I couldn't think of a single issue during our stay. We ate at both restaurants and the food/service was wonderful. Our room was in top-notch shape. The pool area was also amazing. The room rate at this hotel was higher than most in Las Cruces but not by much. The atmosphere is something no chain hotel can offer and I'd definitely stay here again if I find myself in Las Cruces again.

Such a beautiful hotel. Celina at the reception was all smiles, helpful and such a warm personality! The beds were clean and comfortable too. Perfect place to unwind and relax. Wish we had more time to use the pool & the fire pit at night. Will definitely return.

This hotel has a nice ambiance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It could be five stars in my opinion with some simple upgrades. The toilet in our room was very low which is quite difficult for seniors like us. There was no mini refrigerator like in other luxury hotels. No way to keep drinks cold. The drapes were very difficult too pull open or closed. I had to use an extension cord that I routinely carry to have a way to plug in our CPAP machines without unplugging one of the lamps or the bedside clock. More attention to maintenance and simple upgrades would make this hotel a delight.

Pros - great location in town. Unique feel with some nice touches to make you feel comfortable and not feeling like you're in the middle of town. The pool is extremely inviting, and the grounds are well maintained. Clean common areas as well as the rooms for the most part. Staff at the front desk, valet, and breakfast restaurant were all very kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable and not too firm. Once we got two additional pillows that were for a king-size bed, that made the bed that much more comfortable. Cons - daily porter did not take dirty coffee cups away unless asked. We also had to ask for sugar to be refilled (which they only did the day we asked). No safe in the room, and the bathroom was disproportionately small compared to the bedroom. The shower door would not stay closed while showering unless you wedged a washcloth between them. Room 158 specifically could hear all of the fitness dumbell drops above it, which caused earlier mornings than we liked and just annoying constant noise. It was a nice hotel, just needed a little buttoning up to put it in a 4 or 5 category for us, and I would certainly not get a room directly below the fitness center next time.
