Hotel España

Very nice hotel in a 400 years old colonial house in the very center of Lima. Bedroom are spacious and clean. Great view on the roof top. Great price quality ration for Lima. Staff is nice and can store your luggage. The only thing would be that you have to ring the bell to enter the hotel every time but there’s reception 24/24h.

I have been there in 2015, i really enjoyed the time there, the owners in this time were a very old couple, they have been very nice. This Hotel looks like a museum, a lot of art . On the roof are animals, very nice ! i dont know how its now there, i heard prices went up and the owner changed.

Nice, architecturally interesting hotel, full of art reproductions in great location. Small, but cozy rooms, hot water. Rooftop with excellent view on historic center.

If you want to stay in a nice cheap hotel near the center, get a room on the rooftop of this hotel, then you have the found here the best place in Lima to stay. Quit an only five minutes from the center of Lima. Greetings from Amsterdam.

The hotel is located in a period property right in the old town, with many places of interest within an easy and short walk. Rooms are different and so is their decoration or size, but as far as I could see they are well kept and clean. I asked for a quieter room, as I was coming after a long haul flight, and they gave me one on the last floor, which was great. And then, as the streets around were fenced off by police for security reasons, it was even quieter. The terrace on top is also very nice. Staff were kind and helpful. I cannot comment on their command of Engligh, as we talked in Spanish.

We love this hotel and have come back every time we have passed through Lima in the last 5 years. It is super quaint and has a lovely roof-top terrace with a café for buying breakfast surrounded by peacocks and turtles. For its position in the historical center it is very cheap. While the owner-lady is as quaint as her hotel, below the line the service is actually very good. They have luggage storage and give you a rechargable card to travel on the local transport. There taxi service is a bit over-priced, but useful when you first arrive in Lima.

We used this hotel as a pit stop between flights as it was in an area closer to the airport than Miraflores.||Location was good and price was okay but that’s about where it ended ||We found the bathroom and room to be very cold and no heater was around, the power sockets were at such a high level to the unit that you couldn’t charge things very easily as they didn’t lock so would just fall out. The Wi-Fi although had multiple access points was very poor and we only found a good continuous connection in the reception area with the one in our area only working for about 10mins of the time that we tried to use it. The room itself had a very thin door and windows so you could hear everything outside which also didn’t help when we needed to get some sleep after a long flight.||Cheap yes and in a good location but other than that not really worth it especially in the winter
