Hotel Esperia Capri

The location on the island and the view from the room we had is very beautiful. It's however an old building and rooms are completely outdated, renovation is needed. Also there was a nasty smell in the staircase and the bathroom. In the reception area we noticed a strong smell of dogs and cigarettes. I know Capri is a very expensive island and the price is reasonable fair compared to other accommodations, but serving crackers with jam for breakfast was a big surprise. That is not what to expect for breakfast. No bread, no savory sandwich toppings, just crackers, butter and jam. O yes, there were dry cakes to choose from and a good coffee was made for you on request. But this was out of proportion to the general disappointment for the non-breakfast. This hotel made me feel like a cheap youth hostel, although the price was a bit higher than what you would pay for a hostel. ;-) So never again in this 'hotel'.

Good stay, location is within walking distance from Capri city center but in a quiet area. There are a lot of steps inside the hotel, no elevator. The hotel has a lot of potential and would be 100% better if the rooms were renovated into modern ones. Views for breakfast are gorgeous

This is a nicely owned family hotel with amazing views. Our room was large with an absolutely amazing view of the harbor. We enjoyed every minute of stay on the balcony, we even bought a bottle of wine to enjoy. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The homemade breakfast pastries were delicious and the cappuccino was excellent. This hotel is a small hike from the port, but the views very worth it.

The building is old and there is no elevator. Location good with amazing view.Breakfast basic nice though. What is that changes the whole experience to an amazing one is the staff working there. So friendly and nice ready to give you suggestions and very welcoming. If this place gets renovated would be an awesome place. P.S. Get ready to walk a lot as it’s in the city and no taxis can access it.

We stayed two nights here. It's an old building with stairs, family run hotel. Nice staff. The place is a bit run down but it has a charm to it, and the views are fantastic. It's worth getting a room with a balcony because the balcony is huge with a table and chairs and two sunloungers to relax on. The breakfast includes really good coffee made to order for you and lots and lots of cakes and sweets. No healthy options, that was one thing i think they should try to offer as not everyone can have a breakfast with that much sugar.

Located in the perfect area of Capri -- close the touristy areas, but far enough away that there's significantly less foot-traffic. The room was nice and clean with a great terrace with table and chairs looking out towards the ocean. The owners are wonderful people -- incredibly friendly and hospitable. They helped me find local places and are always available to answer any questions I have. The breakfast included in the stay is phenomenal as well! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

First off this is not a luxury hotel, so if you are expecting that it's not for you. BUT it was extremely comfortable, pleasant and has fantastic views. It is centrally located and so convenient to walk to the main square. The breakfasts were delightful with fruit and homemade cakes. And we even had a little seafacing balcony - drinking wine and eating snacks on there as the sun went down was magical! However most of all the woman that ran the place was incredibly kind and really made our stay great. She went out of her way to make sure we were OK when we had a bit of a medical emergency and was just so pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend - save your money here instead of a luxury hotel and spend the left over money on limoncello and pasta!

Rooms were very spacious, and also the terrace was very big and had awesome view to marina piccolo. The staff is very friendly and helpful and hhotel was clean. Breakfast is very basic. Great value for money. ||The walk from centrum not too long but it is uphill, so older people may need to consider transportation or different hotel.
