21 Picture-Perfect Hotels in Mallorca, From Historic Castles to Wellness Hotspots

"Swedish couple Mikael and Johanna Landström (who also own the Hotel Portixol in Palma) have transformed it from rather dusty traditional lodgings into a gleaming-fresh temple of Scandinavian chic. The bright and airy bedrooms—retro-cool with mid-century armchairs and fern-frond-printed wallpaper—have views either out to the water or to the terraced gardens behind, planted with olive trees, red geranium, and bougainvillea. And because there's no traffic, you really can fall asleep to the sound of waves lapping the shore. There's a kids' menu in the bistro, a family pool (and one for the grown-ups), baby bedding, highchairs, and cots all available, as well as junior treatments in the spa. And if you manage to get everyone to bed in time when you're back, make a beeline for one of the striped, nautical chairs on the terrace. Order a stiff gin and tonic and marvel as the sun drops straight between the cliffs and sets behind the bobbing boats." - Roxy Kavousi-Walker, Stephanie Rafanelli

We stayed at Hotel Esplendido in July with our 8 year old, and absolutely loved it! The room was large, beds were so comfortable, and THE VIEWS!! The pool and garden area was so beautiful, with views overlooking the entire bay, and plenty of chairs for everyone - this hotel is gorgeous, we wished we had more nights there. |It was centrally located to everything in the port, we were able to walk to everything. The tram to Soller was just around the corner.|The staff was so friendly and accommodating (we arrived much earlier than expected and they helped guide us to parking, and sent us to the pool to hang out until our room was ready). |The food is so good, we are still talking about the omelettes we had for breakfast. The breakfast is a little pricey, but so worth it. The quality matches the price.|We hope to be back again in the future!

The hotel is absolutely wonderful. Centrally located in the port making it easy to get to restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The pools, especially the adults only thermal pool, had the most incredible views. We booked a garden view room and were very happy with the size and the views of the garden courtyard. Provided bottled water and soda/beer in the rooms with was delightful. The front desk was helpful in picking out restaurants and activities. The tram stops super close by so very convenient. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for a week in the Atico room and it was well worth the extra cost. Terrace and room amenities were first class. Staff were all very pleasant and attentive. Pools and gardens were beautiful. One small gripe is the sunbeds could be better but this is only a small gripe as overall we loved our stay at this excellent hotel and will be returning soon.

NOT a ChatGPT Review. LOL . AMAZING does not say it all. Esplendido Hotel was a perfect ending to a 12 day family vacation in Spain. The village of Port de Soller was so perfect with lots of restaurants and plenty of Pizza for my picky boys. We did an amazing charter with Perfect charters and explored Valldemossa and the Drach Caves in Mallorca were great excursions. The food at the hotel was great breakfast, lunch at the pool and Dinner. Great Bar and Front Desk was very helpful for virgin Spain travelers. Reminded me of Positano and we will be back for sure!! Thanks to Sarah at Spain Savvy for finding this special place for us and pulling strings to get us there with only 2 months notice. Really awesome experience.

I love every corner of this hotel. I mean it. The service is top notch, Sonia, one of the receptionists was kind and helpful. The variety of choices they offer for breakfast is outstanding. So many good products and fresh fruits. The room is bright and the bed is incredibly comfortable. They provide bathrobes, slippers, beach bag, towels to be used in the spa or at the hotel in general. The spa is tiny but it has everything you need, pool + jacuzzi, hot and cold shower, Kneipp path, steam room, sauna, water beds, fresh water and teas. The two outside pools are wonderful, one is very warm and the other is not heated but it's an infinity pool! Yeah! I actually swim there at the beginning of April! No kids were around so it was perfect for me. The garden is wonderful, full of flowers of any kind.

Shocking and appalling behaviour from hotel staff. Their driver were speeding significantly on the boardwalk where lots of people are walking. I confronted the driver as he almost hit my wife who had our 2 year old in a stroller. I told him to slow down as you had people everywhere and going +50 is unacceptable. He apologised but then a waiter from the restaurant came and told me to relax and that I should keep my kids better safe. I almost lost it. I am happy I didn’t stay and with a moral of employees like this I will never put my feet there. Disgusting behaviour of staff.

Bullseye, I'm so lucky to experience Port de Soller and Hotel Esplendido as 1 of the top 5 vacations in my life. My trip with my wife was from the end of May for 10 days. Perfect everything: the weather, the place, and what made it so memorable was the Hotel Esplendido. The service and staff were impeccable, with no negatives. Could not say enough of the staff, so friendly, so professional and always so courteous and helpful. I missed them since my return home because that is how great they were. Felt like leaving family when we departed.

Wonderful hotel, over looking the bay and Port Soller. It has chilled, relaxed atmosphere, the staff are attentive but not intrusive; incredibly helpful and knowledgeable too. We only stayed one night but wanted to stay the week! The restaurant services a mixture of Mallorcan and Mediterranean food, creatively served. The rooms with a terrace are wonderful, airy, well appointed with the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Wonderful hotel.
