I was truly impressed with my experience!The breakfast was delicious, and I especially loved the coffee. The facilities were also excellent and contributed to a comfortable stay.I had read some reviews mentioning that the hotel was older, and I admit I was a little hesitant to book. However, from the moment we checked in, I was incredibly satisfied. The room was spotlessly clean, and having a refrigerator was a great touch. While there was no window, it was perfectly fine for our one-night stay as we were primarily there to rest.Overall, it was an amazing stay! Thank you for providing such a positive experience.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Essencia. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance of the lobby immediately made us feel at ease — spacious, welcoming, and calm. Our room, although lacking a window, provided an excellent environment for a restful night’s sleep, ensuring we woke up feeling refreshed. The hotel's location in Dumaguete Center is also a big plus. It’s conveniently situated with ample parking space, which made our stay hassle-free. In addition to the cozy rooms, the hotel boasts fantastic amenities. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant, which serves great meals, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a massage service and a travel tour agency right on the property. This makes it an ideal choice for those looking to relax and explore without having to venture far. Overall, our stay at Hotel Essencia was relaxing and enjoyable, with excellent facilities and a central location. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Dumaguete!

evrything is excelent except the mini refrigirator door can't close tightly. the morning food buffet is very tasty. staff freindly. room is very nice and clean .

Location is very good. Nice space everywhere. It's a dated hotel. Staff is nice. Breakfast is good. Not many options but adequate. Plumping isn't very good. No hot water in sink. For the price it's good.

Not very friendly check in staff, AC in room is outdated, the temperature cant be controlled by the remote control, you literally have to unplug the AC so that the room wont be so cold, for the price you pay, they really need to provide a newer and updated AC system. Also bad toxic smells coming out from the AC, we had an infant baby and he kept coughing, stay away from this hotel if you have kids, unfriendly waiter staff for the buffet, rudely asking you to give them your buffet tickets, the food itself is not soo good, just two types of rice, some cold scrambled eggs, toast, some fruits, but dont expect a real buffet, simple, and they ask you to finish or clean the plate almost if not you pay a fine for leaving leftovers in your plate. The bathroom toilet also start not to function towards the end, the water just kept running and running and not able to flush, the side hose was also broken or almost broken Dont really recommend this hotel for the price you are paying them, unfriendly and rude service and bad faciilities, there are other better options for this 'western prices" almost 50 dollars a night. If you feel like giving them your money and not getting any value for it, then go for it!

Stayed here solo last Sept 2024 and what a short but wonderful stay it was! Pardon me though as I only realized before posting this that I did not have a single photo/video of the room - or maybe it was in the other device.Anyhow, all the staff were friendly and accomodating. The corner room was clean, all were working well as intended and enjoyed the night with a massage and early dinner room service since I was too tired to eat out nor to go down their restaurant lol.Had to check out and leave early the next day for Siquijor and glad that I was able to avail the breakfast inclusion which had a decent menu offer (plus salad and fresh fruits like pineapple and banana). Check-in and check-out were a breeze.Would definitely stay here again when in Dumaguete!

Perfect clean and nice hotel with a very friendly staf. De room was nice big and clean with all what you need. A very clean bathroom with two kind of showers.Every morning they do have a good breakfast buffet what is including the price. The location of the hotel is central from everything and nearby te Boulevard for a nice eveningwalk along.Its a hotel to recommanded.

Front desk staff was welcoming and the included breakfast buffet was decent- that is the only reason I gave this place 1 star. With that being said, I don't think I need to explain any further after saying I was pestered w bed bug bites during my stay. Find another place, unless you enjoy red itchy welts all over your body during your vacation. And possible i fest and carry them back home with you.

This hotel doesn't give refund for the recent outbreak even if the airlines can't fly here. This place sucks! Bad business policy's STAY AWAY!
