After a long two year wait I was finally able to get back to my home away from home and may I state the welcome I recived was overwhemling. Music playing in the lobby cold drinks and the super friendly staff waiting to greet me with a big smile on their faces, luggage wisked away up to my room what else could I ask for? Much to my surprise when I finished my cold drink and was given my key I entered my suite to find a beautiful floral and fruit arangment from the owner herself Telvi welcoming me back. This truly meant so much to me beyond what words can describe. I sat on the balcony for a while to take in the fantastic view that I had been missing for the past two years then made my way down to the pool and took my first dip of many during my 2 week stay. At the end of my stay I asked for my bill and much to my surprise I was given a night on the house due to the fact that I had stayed there before and had returned post covid. I said my good byes to the staff thanked Telvi once again and this time booked in advance for another longer trip in January and Febuary to make my great escape from the Canadian winter no other place that I would rather be than my home away from home.

I have been working under stress for the past few months and it was starting to effect my health so I said enough and made my reservation two days ago to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet in this great hotel. This is not my first stay here but the only way I can describe it is a real peaceful home away from home. Iam here right now at Etel Suites enjoying a coffee and there free internet services slept like a baby and had my first coffee on the terrace enjoying the fantastic view to my surpise the owner has invited me for breakfast in a while now at her home now you tell me at what other Hotels can you get this kind of service? I feel so relaxed and before breakfast I will be gong down for a nice swim in the pool. Thanks again to Etel for making this get away an enjoyable one. Highly recommend it.

The best thing about this place is that Etel, the owner, is the great granddaughter of John Sutter, an important figure in California history. Never expected to get to meet someone like that!||||We went as two couples, and for about $100 a night got two bedrooms, a very decent-sized dining room/living room, and a big balcony with a table and chairs and OUTSTANDING views. Our beds and bathrooms were okay, and the air conditioning worked very well. Problem is that only bedrooms have A/C and as people who were traveling there from a cool climate, we couldn't really enjoy the living room or balcony because of the heat, and it made cooking unpleasant, even though we were able to borrow a fan. The pots and pans need to be replaced and the stove required special help to get going. If you are planning to cook, take one nonstick skillet with you. ||||The staff did clean our dishes each day, which was great. Internet did not work too well in the rooms [as in many hotels in both the U.S. and Mexico], but there was a computer in the lobby that we were allowed to use. The swimming pool was very nice and we were able to walk from the Quebrada cliff diver experience back to the hotel. We could have stayed at a timeshare on the beach downtown for less money, but other than the lack of A/C in the living area, Etel Suites was probably nicer -- uncrowded, attentive, pleasant. It could make an excellent rental for longer-term vacationers. Furniture was outdated, but not uncomfortable; dining table was huge and lovely. Our two-bedroom unit had three baths; the living room could easily be adaptable as a sleeping area, and three to four people could easily share the one bedroom suite with adequate privacy. No shampoo/toiletries. But overall, with the cleanliness, courtesy, great views and nice pool, it has a lot to offer.

Perfect weather in April. Warm days and comfortable nights. Excellent staff with 24 hour presence. Rented furnished suite with kitchen. Double bath available with this combination. Very convenient. Easy access to town center either by cab or walking. Fantastic view of the Pacific and Acapulco Bay from balcony. Love the roosters in the am and very quiet at night. Sound sleep. Great restaurants with diverse dining experiences. Easy to travel all around the town with taxi and very reasonable fares. USD is strong and prices are a surprisingly good value. Suggested we visit in January or February as weather is even better. Air service to Acapulco much improved over the years. Great place to vacation. Denise and Paul

Situated in a quiet area of Acapulco, high on a hill, you are treated to world class views of both Acapulco bay and the Pacific ocean.||With 24 hour security, we felt safe the whole time.||It is family owned and quality of service is all 1st class.||Great restaurants & shopping within walking distance & plenty of taxis to bring you home. ||We love the roof top deck where you can always count on the breeze. Great for sunrise over the bay and sunset over the ocean. Plus whale watching.||Comfy beds, air conditioning, pools, hammocks. ||Absolutely wonderful experience.||The owners are very warm and friendly and will help anyway they can.||Thanks We Will Be Back|| The Forsyths from Canada

Acapulco now is the quiet Gem on the Pacific. Super calm, and where the hotel is located incredibly walkable. You can get to the beach resort if you want to but if you prefer the old Hollywood connection and the views from the higher hills and cliffs like I do this is perfect. My girlfriend and I went here just after a few days in Mexico city and was the perfect balance for a trip. Also there is an open living room with balcony and kitchen where you can just choose to relax and stay if you wish at the hotel. It feels more then just a hotel but like a home. Of course always call for your caps, but as a whole we felt safe and walked our whole trip throughout Acapulco. And where the hotel is located it is a quick walk to the Zocolo where you can see the church, get food, and hangout at the market. Internet is available so if you still have a little work to do it's right there for you. It gets hot in the city, but there is plenty of air conditioning if you need it, or go into the pool. :)

This is the best place to stay for the money in the real Acapulco. It's a short skip to see the sunsets from the cliffs, there are local beaches to walk to, the Zocalo is oh so close, and the view from the room balconies is visionary. Don't stay in a hotel without AC and Hotel Etel has it as cool as can be.

I only spent one night at Etel suite but may I coment what I did and how I was recived. I needed a night of rest so I made my way to Etel suites and I had a wonderful night. First I unpacked my clothes and put on my bathings suit and went down to the pool for a dip it was so relaxing I was the only one in the pool but of course it was very late after that I went up to my room and had a nice shower turn on the tv for a while and then got changed and put on my pjs and went to sleep in a very clean ac room. When I woke up in the morning had a coffee and then was on my way.......yes I will go back there soon but this hotel gets a big thumbs up from me. Thanks again to Trip Advisor for allowing me to share my thoughts.
