Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg

Booked this delightful hotel based on the number of extremely positive reviews. We are pleased to say we were not disappointed. The hotel has clearly been extended over the years whith a well balanced mix of traditional style and modern parts.|The booklet provided in the bedroom is worth studying to get an idea of the history of the building.|For this visit the junior suites were outside of our price bracket so we settled for a 'Komfort' room. A classic style room with all the normal facilities including air conditioning. We didn't use the electric exterior window blinds but guess they could be very useful in summer.|The bed was extremely comfortable with electrically controlled reclining facility. Also useful, was the floor level subtle lighting around the bed. Basically, if you needed to go to the bathroom during the night, there was no need to turn on the main light!|Check-in at reception was very quick and we were escorted to our room by a member of staff. It has to be said that all staff were exceptional friendly - even the cleaning lady greeted us each time we passed her.|Location-wise, this hotel is very convenient. Last visit to Heidelberg, I stayed in the Marriott...great for the railway station but a long walk in to the old town. The Europaischer is a short taxi ride from the station (walkable if you don't too much luggage) and a pleasant walk into the old town.|Service in the bar was excellent, friendly, efficient and reasonable prices for a hotel of this standard.|Unfortunately, we didn't eat in either of the main restaurants so can't comment on the food. However, the menu did look enticing!

Breakfast was a standout, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options served in a charming setting. The on-site spa and wellness facilities were also excellent, offering a serene escape in the heart of the city. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly situated—within walking distance of Heidelberg’s historic old town, shops, and restaurants, yet just far enough to feel like a peaceful haven. In short, Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg offers top-tier hospitality in a truly elegant setting. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and memorable stay in Heidelberg.

We travel often and have stayed in many lovely accommodations. This hotel is one of our favorites and we will absolutely be back to enjoy everything it has to offer in the near future. 10/10 on every front! We simply love it here.

Guten Tag,||My family and I stayed at your lovely hotel from the 29th of Dec to the 1st of January. I would just like to say how amazing the rooms were and the service. Robin was exceptional in accommodating my rather hyper nieces who wanted to go down for hot chocolates or Shirly Temples (which were amazing!) He made our wind down time very pleasing. It was enchanting to meet him . The other staff was also amazing and always made sure we were taken care of. I also want to say it was nice to see the managers and owners helping out with breakfast service and clean up! If we are ever back in Heidelberg will definitely stay again! And if I know anyone looking for a great place to enjoy a vacation in Heidelberg would definitely recommend! Danke und Frohe Neues Jahr!

Wonderful hotel, great location and extremely convenient for visiting the old town.||The staff were superb, vowed well trained and very attentive. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Spa facilities are a nice addition.

We had the chance to stay here for 1 night and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was great, the food excellent. We had driven to the hotel and the valet took our car and placed it in the garage. The next day it was brought to us at checkout. Everything is pristine and we can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Comfortable, lovely, well-appointed, and located near everything we wanted to see and experience. The staff was exceptionally attentive and our room included several charming touches, including a welcoming plate of pastries and pears. We experienced luxury in every part of our stay, from check-in to breakfasts.

Great location, can walk to all points in and around Heidelberg. Right along the Neckar River. Hotel has a good vibe and nice restaurant and bar. If you smoke cigars this is the place to stay. Staff is very friendly.
