Great hotel and great accomodation! Location is perfect. Service and employees are the best in the world! It feels like you're at your own home. Food is great and I recommend to everyone this hotel! You won't regret.

I reserved a room with this hotel and they had double booked me. When I showed up to check in, they claimed that they had no rooms available even though they could see my reservation on in their computer system. Instead of trying to fix the issue, they made up some story about a hacker advertising on their site. Completely unacceptable. Do not trust this business.

Terrible service. Parking and restaurant full though promised on the website, we were not informed about the necessity to make a reservation for the hotel restaurant (which really is not part of the hotel). The response from the receptionist to our distress, when we couldn’t find anywhere to eat that was not already full that night, was: “ it is not my job to be your assistant”. Then music keeps you awake the entire night. Only for people who don’t want to really ski the next day! And it is certainly not a “peaceful” place, as claimed in the first line of their website! I found this experience worse than any hostel I have ever visited, but there it was expected. I don’t usually complain so easily, I found this experience very disappointing. The room way to overpriced for what it is. The one star is for the sauna, which was good, place was clean.. that’s it.

Superior room with fantastic view of the mountains. Excellent restaurant food and service, especially from Jessica's extremely competent handling of the delicious buffet breakfast and dinner. Pool enjoyable with view of cable car and mountain. Bar was a surprise as was open during our visit. Casino next door (didn't visit this time). Coop Pronto directly next door to pick up drinks and snacks. Parking convenient.

The rooms are perfect. The breakfast is very good and has a lot of things to choose from. The dinner was not that good. I was there with a group and we got less food than the other customers and the fish for example was very dry. The pool and Sauna are great.

We searched for a central Davos Platz hotel with charm and an inside pool. And basically found it, but hey the charm comes at a price. For the current price level we'd recommend giving it a miss.||||The charm is of course partly due to the age; it's a 19th century Grand Hotel with lots of wings and memories. E.g. an elevator with benches to sit on is lovely! Pool/fitness/sauna also great, with mountain views during the swim/exercising. Nice free ticket for the nextdoor funicular if staying 2 nights or more, and the handy Davos/Klosters Premium pass too.||The rooms already are more of a mixed blessing. We had a Superior one, and both the sheer size of the room and the large balcony with deck chairs were impressive. As were the large double bed and the TV/Wifi. But the bathroom looked and felt 40-50 years old for most parts, except two new mirrors (two sinks, great!) with digital clock of which one was already broken. Bath tub old and worn-out, and that sink either gave a too hot or a too cold shower. Some other elements of the room also really need serious refurb, like a wardrobe with broken hinge; the design of the wardrobe and TV cupboard isn't great either when you want to store and (un)pack luggage, and the room looked always dark due to lack of enough lights.||Staff were generally friendly and helpful, e.g. Reception. BUT if the room door has a sign outside 'do not disturb' (as we were out for breakfast, and wanted to arrange towels for keep/change after that) and the cleaners simply came into our room (I guess after knocking) and did the cleaning with the wrong info on the towels – a huge shame, rude and lack of proper attitude! And probably the biggest BUT for the whole hotel: for advertising as 4 star, and having that price level, one serves full breakfast (American/English) with hot dishes. _Not_ just continental breakfast with a decent offering of bread and cheese and jam (but limited cereals); as it was quiet the 2nd day we asked the waiter for boiled eggs and he brought them made-to-order, but it's unclear whether this was an extra or a normal part of the breakfast.||Overall: too much homework for the hotel to be worth 4 stars currently, more 2-3 stars.

4 stars for a four star hotel. A good hotel that meets its declared stars, excellent cleaning, quality linens and towels, bathrobes, slippers, everything you need to have. Small SPA, Restaurants and Bars. on the downside, bring your own pillows as they are very large and very flat in the hotel. wonderful spaces in smoking room and bar, all very stylish. and I am very sorry that the building with a great history, very cheaply renovated, the rooms are made of cheap materials, I would like the historical buildings to retain their historical luster. ps: the elevator is just magical.

I do not recommend this hotel, I will never stay at there again. One of the noisiest hotel I have ever been to. It is an old hotel, not renovated to standard 4 stars, insulation is bad so you hear everything in the building and from the street. The piano bar plays loud music until 2am, the night clubs near by take over until 4am, then you start hearing traffic on the main road. When we asked the reception if it was even allowed to play so loud music (certainly above the legal decibel level), the answer was "I am only a receptionist and cannot help you". We asked for a room on the other side, but the reception said they are fully booked. Rather contradicting to an almost empty breakfast area and the fact that on the last day of our stay, we asked to keep the car in the paying parking for the entire day, the reception said it was no issue as the hotel was almost empty. The staff is not friendly and not helping. Already with the booking, which requires immediate payment, we received a confirmation which was later canceled without explanation. After calling the reception, the lady insinuated that the issue was with our credit card. Re-trying while on the phone, it worked without issue, but no apology came from the staff for this arrogant behavior. The rooms are really old and not worth the money (see attached photos of the bathroom door). I have stayed at other 4 star hotels in Davos and they were much better. Even most 3 star hotels are in better conditions. The only positive point is the hotel's location... another positive is the fact that because of the Covid-19 meansures, the sauna can be booked privately (at least 1 day in advance). Otherwise, the SPA area is too small for a hotel of that size.
