Hotel Evropa

Modern and elegant, this hotel is perfectly located in the center of Celje. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the start. Our room was spotless, quiet, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a real highlight—abundant and varied, with excellent coffee. I especially loved the small, portioned salads with smoked salmon, the petit fours, and the individual muesli pots. A big plus was the table showcasing local specialties, including different types of honey and cheese. One practical note: the hotel does not have its own parking lot, but you can park at the train station for free on weekends, which worked perfectly for us. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Celje who appreciates modern comfort and great food.

Hotel Evropa is located at one end of Celje's pleasant pedestrian areas. You can’t quite pull up to the front, but you can get fairly close, and the wide pedestrian street is smooth and easy to cross. The location is ideal for the city’s most attractive areas.|The décor of the hotel was either slightly dated or a bit retro – I couldn’t tell which, but the public areas were large and well-maintained.||This is an older hotel, but the furnishings in my room were modern. Wifi is included in the price (as it was in every Slovenian hotel I stayed at). The shower was a little cramped, again a function of an older building, but the hot water was fine.||Breakfast was terrific. They had four nice stations with everything from fresh fruit to smoked salmon to petit fours and other dessert-type offerings. It was a fun breakfast and a great way to start the day.||I would stay here again.

Hotel is really nice. Rooms are good, staff is super friendly. Location is nice, you have restaurants and some shops close. The only downside is that the WiFi is not good. It is slow.

Fantastic location in this curious little town.Breakfast was decent, but why do they all end at 10 in this country? - everywhere else on earth has a late weekend layout and is very much appreciate this! Good coffee machines, pastries and meats. Fried eggs etc.‘Superior’ single room was more of a prison cell, with a small slit window at the top and some weird framed photos that seem to have been plucked from the restaurant? Bed was also showing signs of either a previous guest (ginger hairs) or perhaps the cleaner. Either case, this is not great.Reception staff were great however. Very professional.

I was very disappointed. I was at the restaurant eating brunch or lunch and listening dog barking at the table next to me. Such a lovely place, but dogs shouldn't be allowed in. Not all people love them and love smelling them. Especially when eating.

I have to say, the young lady at the reception at around 4:00 today was incredibly friendly and funny. People like this make hotels come to life and elevate the mood.

We chose this hotel as it was number 1 on Trip Advisor and we were pleased with it. Our room, 102, was a good size, clean and comfortable. It had a super king bed which was great - and sockets and lights each side which is always a bonus! The view was nice of the town's roofs and the nearby church.||We found Celje mostly closed and deserted when we went to find some dinner about 8pm. This was a Monday night in early August so we were surprised as we'd expected there to be a big tourist industry. There were hardly any restaurants open except for pizza places so we ate at the hotel. That wasn't entirely successful - separate review.||If you are staying in Celje I'd recommend this hotel but maybe not on a Monday as I think that is when a lot of businesses around close.

I spent one night here in transit from Hungary to Ljubljana. Celje was lovely. Such a beautiful place. This historic hotel has a lot of positives. Lovely historic feel. Perfect location. But several things were lacking. My room was at the far end of the building and WiFi was weak and there was little hot water. Breakfast was ok. Service in restaurant was very good. The whole place just felt a little tired. Not many choices in town and I’d probably return but would hope for a little better experience next time.
