"Don’t let the slightly impenetrable name put you off — Helsinki’s Hotel F6 is family-owned, family-operated, and as friendly as can be. And while the location is central, just across the Esplanadi park from the central business district, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual, helped along by the inner courtyard lounge, which, weather permitting, offers a perfectly whimsical escape, like a bit of AstroTurf Palm Springs relocated to the far north." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely boutique hotel at the end of October. The hotel is just around the corner from the Old Market Hall and a 5 minute walk to the city centre. The pier for the ferry to visit Suomenlinna is just at the side of the Old Market Hall too, so a great location for us. ||The reception staff were very knowledgable of the area and we were recommended a couple of local restaurants and the route to Loyly Sauna (30 min walk from the hotel). ||Breakfast at the hotel is one of the best I have experienced. Lots of choice from yoghurt to salmon, bread, fruit, juice and smoothies. The filter coffee was particularly great. Traditional Finnish Karelian pastries were also on offer with eggy butter. ||We booked a standard room and were not disappointed with the amount of space we had. We requested a high floor, so we had a view over the courtyard. The room was so quiet and peaceful, cleaned everyday of our stay and the bathroom had lovely Ritual toiletries. ||The room also had a GHD hairdryer, which was a first for me. ||We couldn’t fault anything in this hotel and if we did return to Helsinki, I think we might just book again.

This was our second visit to Helsinki and we had no hesitation in staying in Hotel F6 again. The hotel is wonderful and perfectly located. We stayed in a deluxe room which was large, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The staff at reception are outstanding, very polite and helpful and gave great recommendations regarding restaurants and local information. The breakfast is really good and a great way to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

We stayed for 4 nights in a Deluxe room which was absolutely wonderful. Nice large bathroom with plenty of storage and very nice towels. Very comfortable bed plus a sofa and a lounge chair. It also has a safe which we appreciate when traveling internationally. It was all very clean and with little to no noise from other rooms. We overlooked the courtyard, so no street noise. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff were! Their restaurant recommendations were spot on and they came to the room quickly when we called down with a minor problem. If I could take away 1/2 star it would be for the breakfast. Lots of the typical cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, pastries, but only one choice of eggs - boiled. They have crammed the breakfast service into the area that is a bar at night and has little kitchen capacity to provide hot food choices. And it’s very crowded for breakfast. But I’ll leave my review at 5 stars because everything else was so great and the staff really do deserve all those stars.

This is a wonderful hotel. Very spacious rooms and extremely clean. The staff is also very helpful and kind; they helped us secure last-minute reservations to activities in Helsinki that would not have been possible otherwise. It's also centrally located and easy to reach by car or public transport. The cherry on the cake? The breakfast! Absolutely delicious 💯

Very nice hotel in great location. Super breakfast. Excellent staff. Kept clean. Big shower. Very comfortable beds. We were upgraded to very large deluxe room (semi suite) with 2 TV’s, sofa, dining table. Loved it all except area rug in sitting/tv area was stained with dog urine. I’d think if shampooing rug didn’t clean, they should have replaced — or I’d rather of had wood floors which were in rest of suite. Half block from Main city Esplandi Park, shopping, great restaurants and main sightseeing harbor and transportation. Would have been 5-star if that area rug were gone (suite 205). Overlooked courtyard. Very quiet.

Hotel F6 is an excellent hotel in central Helsinki. The location can't be beat, just a couple of blocks from the Esplanadi (central park) and the harbor front market. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of items and was of excellent quality. The neighborhood was quiet, and we had a restful sleep each night. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Lovely room, great toiletries. Powerful rainfall shower. Great breakfast and lots of gluten free options. Staff all very efficient and totally nail customer service. Even provided a breakfast back as we had to leave early for flight.

Nice room but unfortunately it was fairly cold even after adjusting the AC and the pillows were super flat/could have used warmer duvets. The info screen was super bright at night, had to turn it flat to table so I could sleep since I did not manage to turn it off. Appreciated the breakfast and no other flaws, but at this price range I would expect a tad more even with the small details.

Yelp
The best hotel EVER. Clean, stylish rooms, super bathroom/shower, has fridge, kettle and minibar. Fluffy comforters. Everything you need. Super nice, friendly staff. Great location, close to Esplanade, shops and restaurants galore. Yet very quiet. The best part is the included breakfast which has every possible item you'd ever want. Great coffee, breads, cheeses and meats, yogurt, cereals hot and cold, smoked fish, fruit, vegetables, sweets. Incredible. You won't need to eat again til dinner time. My only issue was the comforters were too warm in summer. I like to sleep cool. When I got hot I kicked them off, but then got chilly. Would have preferred a simple summer blanket. That is all!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, great location. I love that there are bikes to use (with helmets!) and breakfast is quite delightful. Our room was large and very quiet and the AC worked very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel located in Helsinki. It is in a good location and very walkable to so many shops, restaurants, landmarks, and the train stations. The breakfast in the morning is quite good. I really enjoyed the yogurt and the porridge. The yogurt was very smooth and not sweet. I would pair them with the berries. The porridge was quite good and reminded me of smooth oatmeal, but way better. I did add a pinch of sugar. I also liked the egg butter on the bread. The regular butter was also delicious. The fruit was sweet especially the pineapple. For eggs they had hard boiled eggs which I don't like. I kind of wish they had scrambled eggs but that is okay, maybe more of an American thing. The meat was mostly cold cuts and salami which were tasty. I also thought the grilled vegetables were not bad either although interesting that they were cold. The latte from the coffee machine was also very yummy. The room itself was quite nice and clean. The shower was large. The bed was comfy. The only funny quirk was that our room was accessible by walking across an open courtyard so it can be a bit chilly going to and from the lobby. The staff is very friendly. We actually arrived quite late around 2AM. We were hungry and asked the staff for any food options. The person at the front desk mentioned they could order McDonald's or other fast food via an app or they could go to the back kitchen to make a sandwich for us. That was so nice of him and the food was great! We were so grateful for his kindness!

Yelp
Perfectly decent hotel, my issue was with the breakfast. They have all these wonderful Finnish berries and such but no real yogurt to put them on. Kind of unheard of in this part of the world. The entire selection was about six different kinds of vegan and lactose-free irregular yogurts. I love that they have this for vegans (I'm vegetarian myself), but not having any regular yogurt at all is simply excessive for a place not advertising itself as a vegan buffet. In the several days I was there they never put any out, even after I mentioned it to the breakfast people.

Yelp
Loved this place. Our room was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The staff were all really friendly. The breakfast was really good especially if you're used to American continental breakfasts lol. Highly recommend staying here. If you do, have dinner/drinks at The Cock a few doors down.

Yelp
Hands down the best hotel in Helsinki. I travel to Finland about 2-3 times a year and have stayed in a number of the bigger and more botique hotels in the city. F6 is far and away the best on so many levels. Amazing staff, clean, cool and modern rooms and common areas, fun bar/restaurant next door. I cannot say enough great things about Hotel F6! The room service is exceptional and they provide free bike rentals to explore this amazing city. Their breakfast is really good, too. The staff are attentive and go out of their way to accommodate guests and make them feel at home. I highly recommend the hotel over the others in the city.

Yelp
Hotel F6 is an excellent modern boutique hotel with friendly staff. I recently stayed at F6 for 10 nights. It's easily the best hotel I've experienced in Helsinki, and I've stayed in the city several times. The rooms are clean, modern, and luxurious. The bathrooms are modern and sleek, with walk in showers. The beds are comfortable and spacious, and the rooms have blackout blinds - a critical component for a city that stays light most hours of the summer. The staff are unbelievably friendly and accommodating - you probably won't find a better team at any hotel in the world. The hotel grounds are also nice, and the breakfasts are top notch. Additionally, the hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city. It's easy to walk or bike just about anywhere, and the hotel has bikes on hand for free rental. This place is a gem!
