Fariones (Lanzarote, Canary Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The whitewashed Hotel Fariones, the first hotel on the Canarian island of Lanzarote, was built in the Sixties on the best piece of real estate its owners could find. This prime spot on a scenic cove, richly planted with tropical gardens and overlooking the sea, has only become more valuable as the resort town of Puerto del Carmen has grown up around it. After extensive renovations, the hotel reopened in 2020 to some fanfare, the interiors reimagined by a local designer, starting with the airy white lobby with bold Spanish artwork and huge glass windows looking out to the palm tree-framed infinity pool and the ocean beyond. Rooms and suites are beautifully appointed with elegant parquet floors, stylish tile-lined balconies with sea views, and spacious, spa-like marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. There's a sprawling fitness center with tennis courts and swimming pools, plus an array of fine restaurants, terrace cafés, and a pool bar open to the public; guests in upper-level rooms also have access to the exclusive rooftop pool and bar." - Tablet Hotels

We had an amazing stay at FarionesHotel Lanzarote. The hotel was spotless, the food was great, and the rooms were beautifully clean and comfortable. Overall, all the staff were incredible friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A very special mention goes to Azahar, who looked after us every evening with such warmth and professionalism. She greeted us with a smile, was consistently attentive, and even remembered our (very Irish!) names truly impressive and such a lovely personal touch. Thank you to Azahar and the entire team for making our holiday so memorable. We would happily return!

This is a very nice hotel. Beautiful location. Easy access to two beaches. |Comfortable & modern rooms. Good aircon. I can see why guests return here. |Staff are, without exception, professional, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. |Restaurants and buffet are all good. |Evening entertainment is a nice touch. Some better than others. Colleen (singer) was especially good. |But …… some tips that would have helped us avoid considerable frustration. |Tissues, cotton buds, shower caps etc are NOT provided in the room. |Surprising for a junior suite in a 5 star hotel in my opinion. Bring them with you (or ask for them at guest experience desk). Otherwise, housekeeping was good. |Our main problem was with the pool area. They constantly ran out of clean beach towels. |In order to get a shady beach bed one has to get up at the crack of dawn to put towels out (if you’re lucky enough to have one). If not, you are relegated to partial sun all day as the umbrellas are concreted in place. |We soon realised we would have to do the same! |In short, be prepared to join the scrum for towels/beds & outside tables for dinner. |If that doesn’t faze you, you will enjoy this hotel.

Fabulous hotel and amazing location on the beach front . We had 8 days in an ocean suite - just the best hotel , room and view … we wouldn’t change a thing. Lovely service.. we don’t interact much as we like to relax together but when we did it was very good and helpful. We have already booked for next year in the same room.. amazing location lovely hotel and service… would definitely recommend Thanks to all we had a wonderful visit and a superb holiday 😊

The hotel is simply fantastic in every respect. I’ve stayed there several times already and would return at any time. Every little detail is just right. The service in particular is outstanding. I would especially like to highlight the girls from the pool, Clara and Silvie, as well as Marina from the restaurant. They make the stay a truly special experience. They are warm, friendly, absolutely attentive, and highly professional. Guests receive excellent recommendations, and small details and personal preferences are remembered

It’s my fifth stay at Hotel Fariones and I feel like it just keeps getting better. The prime location directly on two wonderful beaches, a new beautiful spa, great accommodations and good food make for memorable and relaxing stays. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very customer service oriented. This is one of my favorite hotels to visit.

An Unforgettable, Exclusive Experience From the moment we made our impromptu booking, we knew we were in for something special. Just two hours before our arrival, we secured a stay, and yet, they had everything prepared as if they'd been expecting us for weeks. Our Ocean Suite was immaculate and thoughtfully appointed with a personal welcome—a selection of fresh fruits, a bottle of fine wine, a stylish tote bag, sun caps, and flip-flops, and even the extra bed was already in place. The attention to detail was simply stunning. The suite itself was an oasis of luxury. It was incredibly spacious, impeccably decorated, and felt brand new. The bathroom was a masterpiece of design, a perfect complement to the serene atmosphere of the entire suite. Every meal was a highlight of our stay. The all-you-can-eat buffet was a culinary journey, easily on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant. Each dish was a work of art, presented with elegance and bursting with incredible freshness and flavor. The breakfast experience was no different, offering a lavish selection of gourmet options that were all exceptional. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like the most important people there. They were always a step ahead, anticipating our needs. When we were looking for the rooftop pool, a staff member didn't just give us directions—they personally escorted us, ensuring we felt cared for every step of the way. This level of personalized service created a sense of exclusivity that elevated our entire stay. This wasn't just a hotel visit; it was an experience in pure, unadulterated luxury. It is, without a doubt, one of the finest stays we have ever had.

This is an established and quality hotel in Lanzarote with lovely gardens and direct access to the beach.||Excellent buffet restaurant and friendly staff.||When we stayed in November 2025 the hotel was full. The grounds are large enough for people to spread out and find a sun chair, if not by the pool then in the gardens. Most places with a view to the sea.

Fabulous hotel! Bedrooms are spacious and well designed. Bathroom was smaller than expected with toilet right next to shower. Plenty delicious breakfast options. Gorgeous grounds - it's like a tropical paradise with countless plants and butterflies fluttering around. Staff are mostly friendly although there is a language barrier for some. Great location - hotel sits between two beaches and near lots of places to eat and drink.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the large shop attached to the hotel. I have not stayed at the hotel. We were looking for some nice, authentic gifts to take home from our holiday. Our excursion to Timanfaya left little time for gift shopping but I had spied some nice volcanic/olivine jewellery, salt and Lanzaloe which I thought looked like decent items to take home. Unfortunately, all the shops we popped into in Puerto Del Carmen were full of the usual generic crap which neither of us were willing to buy. I had spied this shop the other day and noticed it looked like a mecca for local produce. Correct! A plethora of Lanzarote wine, jewellery, cosmetic/toiletry products etc awaits! We managed to get the 3 things we were looking for, plus hot Mojo Sauce from neighbouring Gran Canaria. Would highly recommend popping in here and taking home some decent gifts rather than the awful, run of the mill tat that almost all the other shops offer.

Yelp
This so called 4 star is really a 3 star at best. She is living on pssed glories when she was the queen of the island. It is however still the best placed hotel in the area and the pool area is lovely and it has its own beach. The big let down to this place is it's about 20 years behind the times with no air con, a look of the early 80's about it and staff that don't smile but still expect a tip. It's a real shame as they are in a great spot but their still charging like their a 5 star. Best thing to do with this hotel is avoid it until their price goes down or the quility of the hotel goes up.
