"The whitewashed Hotel Fariones, the first hotel on the Canarian island of Lanzarote, was built in the Sixties on the best piece of real estate its owners could find. This prime spot on a scenic cove, richly planted with tropical gardens and overlooking the sea, has only become more valuable as the resort town of Puerto del Carmen has grown up around it. After extensive renovations, the hotel reopened in 2020 to some fanfare, the interiors reimagined by a local designer, starting with the airy white lobby with bold Spanish artwork and huge glass windows looking out to the palm tree-framed infinity pool and the ocean beyond. Rooms and suites are beautifully appointed with elegant parquet floors, stylish tile-lined balconies with sea views, and spacious, spa-like marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. What an absolutely stunning hotel! The rooms were fantastic, all with lovely views over the gardens. The staff were superb, very helpful whilst not being overly attentive! ||The areas around the ground for relaxing in the day were absolutely delightful and it was great to be able to so easily get onto the beach for a welcome dip in the sea. ||Food was all fantastic with lots of options in all the buffets. The buffet experience itself was great with no queues, although the hotel was about 50% occupied during our visit. ||Our only negative was the eye watering evening buffet cost! 57 euros for food. This resulted in over 200euros a night before adding any drinks. For our 14 year old daughter this feels particularly expensive. ||It was also sad to see the food waste being disposed of at the end of the evening which must impact on the hotels costs and therefore pricing of the buffet. We would have been delighted to eat in the hotel every night if not for the cost as quality of food and options were very good.

The service was nothing short of outstanding – every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay unforgettable.||The outdoor areas were stunning, meticulously maintained, and created a serene atmosphere that made it a joy to simply wander around the grounds. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better – right on the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean. Watching the sun set from the terrace felt like something out of a postcard.||If you’re coming to Lanzarote and want a truly exceptional experience, this hotel is an absolute must!

This is my fourth time visiting the hotel and I cannot even put into words the excellencency of everything they do. The hotel is marvelously decorated with all the ameneities you could think of, but to top it off it is located nestled between two beautiful beaches. The rooms are massive, the staff is crazy attentive and the food and buffets are gorgeous. Truly the best 5 star hotel I have ever stayed at and its been my 4th time there. Special mention to Teresa and Silvia, thank you for making our stay memorable!!

Stayed here for 10 nights in June/July had the best time ever, we were celebrating 25yrs married and also my 65th birthday. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff were exceptional, we stayed bed & breakfast and we were spoiled for choice each morning. On my birthday we got back to the room decorated and a lovely cake and birthday message from the hotel which was much appreciated Thank you everyone at Fariones. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes for a nice chilled holiday in fabulous surroundings and wonderful staff, you will not be disappointed a truly 5 star experience and we will be back. Thank you.

We have just arrived home from 9 days of pure luxury. |This hotel is by far the BEST hotel we have ever stayed in. |The staff go above and beyond for you and nothing is too much like hard work. |We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast is lovely, so much to chose from. ||Evening entertainment was amazing.||Rooms are kept immaculate with housekeeping coming round at least 3 times per day. |Comfy beds.

What an absolutely stunning hotel, the hotel is immaculate everywhere. The staff are amazing, the grounds and the views are spectacular. We stayed in a Deluxe twin on a high floor room 641, the views of the swimming pool, gardens and sea were breathtaking. This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever been to.|Thank you all for everything.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Hotel Fariones. The staff could not do enough to make you feel valued and welcome from the minute you arrive until you leave again. Nothing is too much for them - a credit to the hotel. The rooms are large and spacious. 10/10 for hotel breakfast, fantastic selection of local and traditional breakfast foods. Hotel buffet dinner choice was good, glad we tried it. The housekeeping team are great and can see they take great pride in the presentation and standards. Rooftop pool was a nice touch for our time at the hotel. All round perfect stay. We hope to return again. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Best hotel in Lanzarote. True 5-star experience. Location is brilliant because you are right at the sea, unlike many other hotels. Food was excellent. But the best part was the staff, everyone was so welcoming and helpful.

This review is based solely on the large shop attached to the hotel. I have not stayed at the hotel. We were looking for some nice, authentic gifts to take home from our holiday. Our excursion to Timanfaya left little time for gift shopping but I had spied some nice volcanic/olivine jewellery, salt and Lanzaloe which I thought looked like decent items to take home. Unfortunately, all the shops we popped into in Puerto Del Carmen were full of the usual generic crap which neither of us were willing to buy. I had spied this shop the other day and noticed it looked like a mecca for local produce. Correct! A plethora of Lanzarote wine, jewellery, cosmetic/toiletry products etc awaits! We managed to get the 3 things we were looking for, plus hot Mojo Sauce from neighbouring Gran Canaria. Would highly recommend popping in here and taking home some decent gifts rather than the awful, run of the mill tat that almost all the other shops offer.

This so called 4 star is really a 3 star at best. She is living on pssed glories when she was the queen of the island. It is however still the best placed hotel in the area and the pool area is lovely and it has its own beach. The big let down to this place is it's about 20 years behind the times with no air con, a look of the early 80's about it and staff that don't smile but still expect a tip. It's a real shame as they are in a great spot but their still charging like their a 5 star. Best thing to do with this hotel is avoid it until their price goes down or the quility of the hotel goes up.
