Hotel Fariones

We had a lovely 4 day stay. Great location and very easy to get to restaurants and pubs nearby. Hotel breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and very helpful. As we were only there for a few days we didn't use the pool area but it looked very clean and nice. Rooms were excellent. There is no air con but as we stayed in February the temperatures were low 20C so no air con required. Not sure what it would be like in the summer. They did provide a floor standing fan in the bedroom but we didn't need to use it.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous and without a doubt worthy of a five star rating. We recently booked our second stay to arrive in February 2026 for 9 nights. The breakfast is second to none and the pool side service staff were extremely pleasant and professional yet could have the craic with guests. It absolutely is an expensive hotel however, justified in every aspect, every staff member goes above and beyond and the quality of the food served is exquisite. Throughout our last stay there were a lot of Irish couples staying in the hotel who were super friendly.

It was the reputation of Hotel Fariones that drew us to Lanzarote, and we are so glad that we booked this hotel. The location is amazing, set in beautiful exotic manicured gardens with direct access to the beach and sea. The interior of the hotel is thoughtfully and superbly curated with a grand lobby, a buzzy bar and terrace, and various restaurants. Our room, a Relax Junior Suite was large, comfortable, and well designed, and enjoyed a private sea view balcony with a hot tub. These top category rooms have exclusive access to the roof top pool which very feels special. The main pool area is also excellent. Service was outstanding with friendly and helpful staff in all departments. Breakfast is a very generous buffet arrangement with great choice and impressive quality. Starting each day outdoors on the shady breakfast terrace was a joy. Despite its size, the hotel never feels crowded - there are so many secluded areas for guests to retire to when peace and quiet are required. The overall vibe of the hotel is decidedly upmarket but relaxed. Every detail has been considered to ensure that guests have the best time. Our sincere thanks go to the whole team at Hotel Fariones, for creating a special and memorable stay. We will return at the earliest available opportunity.

Excellent breakfast, superb facilities especially the gym with daily classes. Modern, spotless rooms with very comfortable beds. A true five star experience.

This was our second visit having previously visited in 2019. The improvement to the buffet breakfast was immense in terms of an even wider choice of hot and cold dishes- the hot food cooked freshly and in small quantities so it was piping hot. Based on this, although I’m not a fan of buffet dining, we tried the buffet dinner which was absolutely superb with the dishes individually curated. Although the weather was a bit mixed the built in balcony with a solid wall either side was a real sun trap and perfectly sheltered from the wind. It was so relaxing watching and listening to the sound of the sea. The main infinity pool is a delight - the jacuzzis less so as they tend to get monopolised by adults with their drinks and small toddlers. The staff and service are impeccable- your every want and need are attended to. This is an absolute jewel of a hotel and we intend to visit every January from now on if not before. It’s not cheap but worth every penny and in my view exceeds its five star rating.

I have just loved my January week away in Lanzarote at the hotel Fariones. A beautiful hotel with fantastic service. The spa today was amazing. I had a Japanese facial that was just perfect. I slept for some of the experience as it was just so exquisite. My skin looks rejuvenated, perfect for the more mature lady/ man. If you visit the hotel don’t miss this experience as it was a definite highlight.

We stayed here over Christmas. It was our first time going to Lanzarote, and it was a great trip. The hotel is very impressive and from the moment we arrived we felt looked after. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view onto the beach. Breakfast is fabulous, with every option available. The evening meal buffet was not as impressive, but still ok. We found the staff to be very helpful, in particular housekeeping, the restaurant and bar staff, and the staff at the pool. The hotel is located right on the beach, and on a lovely walk way down to the old town harbour. ||My only comment would be the food wastage, could there be a more sustainable option for the ketchup and jam pots?

I have just loved my February week away in Lanzarote at the Hotel Fariones. From the moment we arrived, Mario was at the door — he was incredible. He helped us immediately and made sure we were checked into our room smoothly. Such a warm and professional welcome really set the tone for our stay.

This review is based solely on the large shop attached to the hotel. I have not stayed at the hotel. We were looking for some nice, authentic gifts to take home from our holiday. Our excursion to Timanfaya left little time for gift shopping but I had spied some nice volcanic/olivine jewellery, salt and Lanzaloe which I thought looked like decent items to take home. Unfortunately, all the shops we popped into in Puerto Del Carmen were full of the usual generic crap which neither of us were willing to buy. I had spied this shop the other day and noticed it looked like a mecca for local produce. Correct! A plethora of Lanzarote wine, jewellery, cosmetic/toiletry products etc awaits! We managed to get the 3 things we were looking for, plus hot Mojo Sauce from neighbouring Gran Canaria. Would highly recommend popping in here and taking home some decent gifts rather than the awful, run of the mill tat that almost all the other shops offer.

This so called 4 star is really a 3 star at best. She is living on pssed glories when she was the queen of the island. It is however still the best placed hotel in the area and the pool area is lovely and it has its own beach. The big let down to this place is it's about 20 years behind the times with no air con, a look of the early 80's about it and staff that don't smile but still expect a tip. It's a real shame as they are in a great spot but their still charging like their a 5 star. Best thing to do with this hotel is avoid it until their price goes down or the quility of the hotel goes up.
