We traveled to Spain to celebrate my birthday. From the moment Gemma warmly greeted us until the day we left, everything was perfect. The hotel is lovely and the service even better. Gemma and Gaston were so kind and helpful with giving us directions and making dinner reservations. We enjoyed a couple of visits to the bar (Balmoral) where we were taken care of by Mariia. She was so personable and friendly and took the time to recommend things for us to see while in Madrid. The location is perfect since you are away from the crowded areas but can easily walk to Retiro Park and the Prado Museum. The rooms were elegant and spacious. My husband said it was the most comfortable bed he’s ever slept in. We will definitely be back to this gem of a hotel!

Stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Complimentary room upgrade upon check in, bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Jean Paul was awesome! Very kind to us and gave recommendations in the surrounding area. Room was very clean. Location was great as well, pretty much everything you needed in walking distance

If you are considering the Gran Melia Fenix for you vacation in Madrid don’t hesitate! It is by far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. All of the hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. The red level benefits were also amazing. Complimentary breakfast, drinks, and snacks all day. Zuma, the Japanese restaurant attached is wonderful. We didn’t eat at Balmoral, but their drink menu is extensive with tons of premium cocktails. The property is in a great location. There are tons of great stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is also very close to many historic sites, most within walking distance or a short cab ride. It would give this hotel a 10 if it was an option! Thank you hotel Fenix staff!!

It’s my opinion that this is the best hotel in Madrid. Truly a 5 star experience in every way. |The doorman, Israel Carlos, was extremely helpful with his local knowledge and even helped us with our luggage, taxis, baby car seats, and all with a super friendly demeanor!|The 7th floor concierge desk was immensely helpful in so many ways (train tickets, hotel car rental)|The room was spotless and even the cleaning ladies were so nice and pleasant. They always brought a big smile to our infant son’s face :) |They thoughtfully brought us waters and chocolate when they heard our son cry on multiple occasions!|The lounge on the 7th floor was very popular with my family. Tasty treats and hot meals at most hours of the day.|We cannot wait to stay here again.||Thanks for everything,|W+J

Hotel Fenix Gran Melia exceeded all our expectations. The services rendered were unmatched. The entire staff, without exception, did everything to make sure our stay was the best. The hotel is beautiful and clean with everything targeting and achieving perfection. Breakfast was enjoyable and offered a great selection with a willing staff to serve. |Hotel Fenix was so accommodating that my wife and I were treated, on our wedding anniversary, to a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolate and a variety of cheeses. This was so special, and it certainly made our day special.

Wonderful hotel! We were treated with so much care and kindness. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious! All services were impeccable from cleaning to welcoming to serving. The staff here is really above and beyond fabulous!

Great staff and service! Antonio, Jean Paul and Santiago were super helpful! The rooms are very spacious for European standards and the location of the hotel is great! It’s just a short walk to Serrano where you can find all the stores and restaurants.

Lucia and rest of the staff were outstanding. I booked via the American Express FHR Fine Hotel & Resorts program and so glad I stayed here. They sent to my room a fruit care basket (see pic). The breakfast (see pic) and its venue were a hit. I hope to come back.
