For the price and location, this is a great place to stay for visiting Machu Picchu. As the other reviews and videos show, this hotel is literally RIGHT NEXT TO the train tracks; this interesting location, the staff’s service, riverside views, and included breakfast are bound to make your stay memorable. My wife and I stayed here 2 days and 2 nights on our Machu Picchu adventure. The staff were warm and welcoming and very accommodating the entire time. We always looked forward to the delicious buffet style breakfast and dining with the Urubamba River flowing directly beneath us. However, after a long day at Machu Picchu we wanted to nap and recover. But the paper thin walls, construction across the street, trains coming through at all hours, housekeeping working and playing music loudly, and tourists walking around town, we lay sleepless for a couple hours before giving up. The nights weren’t much better; while the housekeeping noise was gone, trains rolling through outside our window and other tourists coming in late prevented a good nights sleep both nights we stayed. We greatly appreciated the cleanliness and hospitality of the hotel and staff. Several times we asked for more towels or toilet paper (which was left unstocked) and we were always quickly accommodated. Overall the staff hospitality, natural ambience, and food turned our almost negative experience into several memorable stories.

We stayed at Hotel Ferre Machu Picchu for one nights, as part of an organised trip through Exoticca. The stay met our expectations overall. The room was clean and well-organised. The bathroom was equally spotless and tidy. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.||Breakfast was a highlight—plentiful and delicious, offering a variety of options such as fruits, juices, cold cuts, bread, jam, butter, coffee, and milk. The hotel’s location in the center of Aguas Calientes made it a convenient base for exploring. We were welcomed with warmth and friendliness upon arrival, which added a nice touch to the experience. |This was a good, basic hotel that offers reasonable value for money.

Very good facility, conveniently located near train station, in fact quite next to one of the train tracks. I didn't feel the noise due to the vicinity to the train station. Ask for rooms facing Urubamba river - the view and the river sound is very refreshing. Very polite and friendly staff (Thank you!)||Only one issue: we are a family of 4 split in two separate rooms. Not sure if they don't have big enough rooms or were not available at the time of booking (we didn't book ourselves but our 2-day Inca trail tour operator Orange Nation booked for us)

I almost never leave reviews as I know negative experiences happen and are nobody's fault but this is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. It is super loud, you can hear everything being said in adjoining rooms and especially the lobby. Our reservations, which were made 2 moths ago were lost. I understand this happens to hotels and travel companies that provide the hotels so I was willing to give them patience until they put us in the basement right below the lobby so every word spoken by and to the front desk staff echoed down the open stairway to our room. I will beg our tour company to never use this hotel chain again. The front staff was unwilling to assign us to another room even though there was a group of 50 plus people that showed up at 9:30 pm, making all kinds of noise that they could have put together in the room we were in. 5 of the 6 basement rooms were already assigned to this group, just add one more. We checked in at 4 pm by the way, and again this group came at 9:30. The noise started again at 4 am when guests started to check out and the staff made no effort to be quiet. Do not use this hotel if your goal is sleep. Paper thin walls and a floor plan that echoes throughout will keep you from that goal. Also, I can't speak for how the rooms are in the upper level but in the basement you don't control the temperature so ask for extra blankets.

A little overpriced, but the pisco I had was the prettiest during my time in Peru. It was one of the least flavored though. The wait staff was very attentive, and the dessert was super fun. My friend got a whiskey and they brought out the whole bottle to show her and gratuitously poured. The place is really pretty inside.

Terrible hotel. Walls are not soundproof at all, could hear everything both inside and outside all night. Rooms were nasty, didn’t even have towels when we walked in, and there were stains all over all the bedding. Slipped and fell in the shower due to the drain not working. No AC as well, so the room was stuffy and hot all night, but couldn’t open windows due to the one being to the hotel lobby. Stayed here with a travel group, but would try to avoid at all costs.

It was a small and clean hotel. The people at the counter were friendly and eager to help customers. The free breakfast contains wide variety of food, and the view from the breakfast area was awesome! The room was ok - very basic.

The river view rooms in this hotel are amazing! Bedroom and bath were nice also. Staff was very helpful with storing luggage for us. The breakfast was well stocked and started at 5:30 which allowed us a bite before our Machu Picchu tour. The location is on the train tracks but we had no issues with noise if on the river side.
