Located in the heart of the capital city of Goa Panjim the hotel have all basic amenities and quite luxurious. More over they have around 3 to 4 authentic South Indian and North Indian restaurant which are quite a famous amongst the local. Overall, it was great experience. You can choose this property while staying in Panjim

Had requested a combo of prawns and chicken salad and was absolutely fine with being charged accordingly. However, the service staff refused to accommodate this simple request they sad chicken or prwans only, which was quite disappointing. It’s not about the price it’s about the attitude and flexibility of service. Sadly, this has left a negative impression, and this will most likely be my last visit Chilli n Spice restaurant Fidalgo Panjim !

Hotel Fidalgo – A Panaji Gem with Timeless Charm Nestled in the bustling heart of Panaji on 18th June Road, Hotel Fidalgo is a long-standing icon (opened in 1974), seamlessly blending historic elegance with modern comfortsWith 101 well-appointed rooms—including Premium, Executive, and the luxurious Fidalgo Suite—guests enjoy amenities like air-conditioning, minibar, free Wi‑Fi, in-room safes, and some rooms overlooking the tranquil pool One of Fidalgo’s strongest draws is its vibrant culinary scene. The hotel hosts six distinct dining venues: Aunty Maria (a 24/7 café), Bhojan for Gujarat-style thalis, Chilli ’n’ Spice for global fare, Mirch Masala, Legacy of Bombay, and O Goa, a local Goan cuisine poolside retreat Guests frequently commend both the food variety and quality Facilities extend beyond dining: a refreshing outdoor pool with a children’s section, a fully equipped fitness centre, spa (Ziv or Tantrah), business centre, banquet halls for events up to ~350 guests, plus complimentary airport and train transfers The service is consistently highlighted in guest testimonials—prompt, friendly, and attentive staff—earning praise for cleanliness and hospitality . The prime location also receives strong praise: “very cooperative staff… rooms… very clean,” and “central location… near Church and Mandovi River” One caveat: lack of on-site parking, which may inconvenience self-driving guests . Also, breakfast is sometimes charged separately, depending on the rate plan .

I had one of the most unpleasant experiences at this hotel. My boss was visiting Goa for an official meeting and chose to stay at Hotel Fidalgo. We had important discussions lined up regarding work and statistics. However, when I went to meet him in his hotel, the hotel staff refused to allow me access—even after I provided valid identification. Shockingly, they said Goans are not allowed in the hotel rooms. I found this discriminatory and deeply unprofessional. As a result, we were forced to sit in the crowded lobby to carry out our official discussions, which was neither comfortable nor appropriate for the nature of our meeting. I strongly advise corporate travelers and professionals to avoid booking this hotel for business stays or meetings. Their policies are rigid, unwelcoming, and certainly not aligned with professional hospitality standards.

Used the coffee shop. Decent place though limited menu. Nice place to sit and discuss or even read a book.
