Hotel Figl

We were looking for a place to stay on our way back from Dolomites trip and this was a great choice. Staff were extremely helpful ahead of time with instant responses when texted to find out where to park as it's in the pedestrian part of the city. Instant responses, very detailed, so that we could park in the Center Garage but also where to park in it to exit at the elevator that leads out to the square just a 2 minute walk to the hotel! Staff were also helpful with suggestions for dinner etc. And the room was very very nice...had a Junior Suite on top floor. Location in middle of the town near the main square made it easy to walk all around and see the town, choose restaurants for dinner and breakfast, even with rainy weather!

The hotel is very comfortable for intangible reasons. It has a local feel, and that is not exactly an Instagram/TripAdvisor kind of thing. ||But you can tell by the porch out front, protected by an unruly boundary of trees, and by the number of people who come there just to meet, that the place has good bones, and good people in charge. They were unfailingly helpful during our stay. The fruit at breakfast is fresh. The coffee is good. Excellent for a visit to Bolzano with a place to rest and join with people at any spare time.

Overall, an okay experience. Great location; nice restaurant / outdoor cafe and welcoming staff. Very clean room and comfortable mattress. That said a few disappointments to note: terrible lumpy pillows; thin walls so you can hear everybody coming and going and especially on the second floor near the stairs / restaurant; decor is outdated (the first pics on Google are deceiving) so just a warning (not a dealbreaker but a bit of a catfish). Staff also walked into our room without knocking while my partner and I were in bed directly by the door. Overall, not a place I would probably stay at again if I had another choice but good enough for a night or if you're in a pinch.

Room: Super spacious room with a comfortable bed (Scandinavian style with two twin duvets). No frills, very clean. Food: Lovely breakfast buffet with decent options for gluten free & dairy free (hard boiled eggs, some meats, fruit/veggies, etc.) Outside/Location: Loved that the front of the hotel is partially covered by tall bushes/trees & so close to the piazza. Service: Extremely helpful & friendly front desk staff.

Unfortunately, my experience at Hotel Figl was disappointing. The location of the room was very poor – the only view was of a wall directly in front of the window, which made the space feel dark and enclosed. Additionally, there was significant noise from the kitchen below and from other areas of the property, making it difficult to rest. The air conditioning did not function properly, and since there was no fresh air circulation from outside, the room became uncomfortable. Opening the window was not a solution due to the noise level. While the room itself was clean, the space feels unsuitable for accommodation purposes. It would be better used for commercial purposes rather than as a guest room.

I almost want to keep it as my own little secret but I’ll be doing them a disservice. Immaculate, comfortable and spacious rooms, warm staff. Make you feel at home - rarity with hotels these days. True mark of hospitality and deserving of all stars they advertise. Very central too!

Hotel is located in the historic center of Bolzano in close proximity to the touristic spots and Bolzano Bus station to the Dolomites. Rooms are very comfortable and staff is very kind, and friendly.

Enormous rooms, not just by European standards but by any standard. Located right in the center of the city. Front desk was super friendly and chill. Can get a bit noisy at night time but dies down by midnight. Rooms are a bit dated, but for the price and location, it can't be beat.
