Hotel Finlandia

The hotel is clean and in a relatively safe area of the city. The breakfast is just ok, but the cafe adjoint has great food and real coffee. There is no soundproofing. You can hear guests in the hallway and outside noise....the desk is friendly and helpful. Easy to arrange a taxi.|Located centrally and close to a very large park.

Arrived and Provided my credit card information for incidentals and later to pay for a meal at the restaurant at the Finlandia. These were the only times I had used my cc since arriving into the country. Within minutes of leaving the restaurant, several fraudulent purchases were made. My bank notified me immediately and locked my card, disabling my primary card and leaving me with no other credit card.||I notified the management, provided proof, and received no apologies or compensation. Checked out immediately and took my business elsewhere.

Great breakfast and good service. They scrimp on the towels but the gelato bar in the lobby is tasty. They were very helpful and stored our luggage for a few hours after we checked out.

Nicely situated near a park, shopping, and restaurants. Modern facilities. Excellent staff and a good restaurant. Great breakfast included in rate. Nicely appointed room. Good WiFi and hot water. Walls are thin and it can get noisy if there are activities in the central area. I stayed two nights and it was quiet by 9:00pm. I would stay here again.

Reading some of comments I wouldn't make a reservation but... food it's really good, fresh fruits, hot plates, variety of hot and cold drinks. Some people were complaining they were not treated well hmm How would you like to be treated? Strange because hotel's staff it's really nice, kind and educated. Location it's excellent. Rooms clean.

We stayed here in early January before starting a bird photography trip. We got here a few days early to enjoy the city. We arrived at 2am, and were greeted by the desk staff and shown to our room by a very courteous gentleman. We missed the included breakfast the first day, as we didn’t get up until 12😜. There are two restaurants and a wonderful coffee shop attached. Wood-fired pizza was delicious, as were the pastries at the coffee shop. The staff was very accommodating and friendly

The hotel is in a good location La Carolina for a visit to Quito. The hotel has the appearance of an upmarket city hotel. Looks can be deceptive! ||The rooms are sparsely furnished! We stayed here prior to visiting the Galápagos Islands + taking time out to see Quito + the surrounding area. We had nowhere to put any of our clothes!! There was a tiny wardrobe with little in the way of storage! We had to put items on the floor! There are no personal touches like a box of tissues! The rooms are essentially done on the cheap! Breakfast is included and it’s basic! Served in a noisy restaurant with terrible loud music playing all the time!||The standard of the restaurant is dreadful! We had to eat there twice and the food was inedible! Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel as it was our worst experience in Ecuador.
