I stayed at the Hotel Finn on a big interrail trip from the UK up through the Baltics States and then back through Scandianvia. While it doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, my experience was fantastic. First, my room, while not huge, was quite the cutest hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was warm and quiet with really effective double glazing. The bed was comfortable and it was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower that had plenty if hot water and decent shampoo/body wash (and a hair drier). The staff were really friendly and welcoming and they have free coffee available at reception. They don't have a restaurant but there are loads nearby and they have even got a discount for guests at some of them. They have a really cool system for leaving your luggage there after checkout, with lockers available for free (and access to a toilet). It's right slap bang in the centre of the city; the central railway station is 5 minutes walk away, it's got loads of tram stops just outside (T7 or T9 from the ferry from Tallinn), 10 minutes walk to the Old Market Hall and the Orthodox Cathedral. I loved Helsinki and will definitely stay at the Hotel Finn again

A really lovely 'budget' type stay, so convenient for bus and train station. The reception staff were all so friendly and helpful, I found my first night disturbed by noises from pubs below and on asking if I could move room, I was immediately told yes no problem and they would look at courtyard rooms (quieter) .|The single room was clean and comfortable, tho I did find the tiny wet shower room off putting as shower was over toilet and sink! But when they moved me I got a twin room and so more room. The beds are comfortable, and although not many luxuries in the rooms, it has all you need. I thought the inclusion of lockers on each floor was an excellent idea, so no extra charge if you need to store bag, and no hanging around waiting for someone to open storeroom. On checking out, they give you a key card to access your floor, and each locker has its own key - you take it. Special note to Olga, Sara and Aino - friendly, helpful and patient on reception.|I would advise if you like a quiet sleep - ask for a room overlooking courtyard.

Most people prefer this hotel since it is in a normal price range and in a great location in Helsinki. Almost every tourist attraction is 15 minute walk away from the hotel if not less. Furthermore, you are at the center of the city so any need you have you can find. Whether it is food, pharmacy, market etc. We booked the cheapest room with joined beds as a couple. The room is very small so dont bring more then one big suitcase if you want to be able to walk in the room. Toilet and the room was clean and you can have it cleaned everyday. No fridge no eating or study table no closet. Well there is a table but it is extremely small so it does not count since it isnt functional. Toilet is big enough and there is a bidet. Toilet uses floor heating so that after shower it can dry quickly. The room does not use floor heating. We had no view but we did not stay at the room much so it did not matter to us. There was one hair dryer, one hand towel per person, body towel per person, a small kettle and small glass per person. The small loby has complimentary coffee, black tea and some herbal tea kinds with carton glasses to grab while you leave or enter the hotel. There is an elevator but it would take only 2 person and small baggages. It is small. Hotel also provides umbrellas at the lobby for you to pick up which i find very thoughtful since we visited in fall. Summary, for people that does not stay in the room too much and prefer to eat out this hotel is great due to its central location. Great for tourists.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel FINN. But what truly made my stay exceptional and unforgettable was the incredible service provided by the receptionist, Sara From the very first moment I arrived, Sarah welcomed me with genuine warmth, kindness, and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Whether it was giving me local recommendations, helping with logistics, or simply sharing a friendly smile at the end of the day, Sarah was always attentive, helpful, and sincerely committed to making my stay perfect. It's rare to meet someone who clearly loves what they do and brings so much positive energy to their role. Sarah made me feel not just like a guest, but like a valued friend. Thanks to her, I am already looking forward to coming back to Hotel Finn on my next visit to Helsinki. The room was spotless, quiet, and cozy – exactly what you need after a day exploring the city. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming and relaxed, and the value for money is excellent. In summary: ✔ Prime central location ✔ Clean, comfortable rooms ✔ Excellent value ✔ World-class service from Sarah at the front desk! I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Finn to anyone visiting Helsinki – and if you’re lucky enough to be welcomed by Sarah, you’re in for a truly outstanding experience.

I quite like this hotel. It’s very much no-frills, but it’s cheap, clean and very central. Close to the station too. Lively nightlife nearby and I was a little worried about noise, but the triple glazed windows kept everything out. A small quality of life improvement would be to provide a small fridge in each room. There is a kettle (no tea or coffee provided in the room although it’s available from reception) but nowhere to keep milk (or water) chilled. Providing a fridge would be a really welcome improvement. The second is so

Clean and comfy hotel very close to most of the major areas, the lady in the reception is very nice and helpful, they also offer free of charge luggage lockers that you can have access to after you check out.

Good hotel in a great location with decent facilities. It honestly still lacking in so many ways but perhaps the most upsetting is the dreadful bathroom situation in the single room. The space in the hallway/reception could have been utilised to extend the bathroom. It’s not a hostel that requires socialising so I fail to see the point of that space. The room could have been a lot more comfortable if the private bathroom was comfortable as well. Thankfully, the water pressure and temperature made up for the discomfort. Asides from that, the room was okay and surprisingly well soundproofed despite being surrounded by bars and restaurants.

Great location. The price quality relationship is superlative. The girl at reception very nice. Coffee and tea available when reception is open. We booked a private bedroom with private bathroom, all good. I will come back.
