Firefly Boutique Hotel

We recently stayed at the Firefly while on a family trip with my mom and sisters. Mikala greeted us and let us know that they upgraded us to their very special penthouse - because she heard that our trip was a special trip for my mom to fulfill her dream of going to Switzerland. Mikala was so warm, welcoming, and excited to share in our joy at seeing the beautiful penthouse suite!! Our stay was the highlight of our trip! The staff, amenities, and overall vibe were perfection. The breakfast service in our room was delicious and decadent. And the gym, pool, and sauna facilities were top notch. My mom got a massage from a staff member and it was absolutely wonderful and personalized just for her. I cannot say enough good things about this adorable, cozy, welcoming, and beautiful hotel. I cannot wait to go back!!

What an amazing hotel! Spectacular views, beautifully appointed throughout the whole hotel with top class facilities, rooms are just awesome and the staff provided some of the best service I’ve ever experienced in many years of travel. A must to visit, and I can’t wait to come back!

Great hotel: rooms (spacious, well equipped), breakfast, service (very very helpful), spa (amazing!). However to be avoided if you are sensitive to noise: the bar is opened till 1am and the master bedrooms of the corner appartements overlook the bar entrance, plus the hotel is on the corner of two fairly busy roads . For the rest, it is absolutely perfect.

I have rarely been treated with such disrespect in a hotel. From the moment we arrived, the attitude and tone of the woman who seemed to be the owner were shockingly rude and condescending. Instead of offering a warm welcome, she spoke to us as if we were a burden. Her way of addressing guests is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in the hospitality industry. A hotel stay is not just about the room – it’s about feeling welcome and valued. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. I would strongly advise future guests to think twice before booking. There are many other places in Zermatt where you’re treated with kindness and respect – this is not one of them.

Everything you could wish for in a Zermatt hotel… super location 300m from the Kleinmatterhorn lift station. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and quality crisp bedlinen. Balcony and well equipped kitchen area. Luxury of room service delicious breakfast ordered the evening before. Generous coffee & tea facilities topped up every day. Spa facilities second to none: pool, hot tub, steam rooms, sauna no better way of rejuvenating ski legs after a day on the slopes. And best of all The Firefly team… always smiling always helpful running the coolest cosiest bar (Bar 55) in the whole resort. We speak from experience of more than 30 years skiing in Zermatt. The last seven years in The Wonderful Firefly. See you next year!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Firefly. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful, the rooms were spacious and very well kept and we appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. The location was perfect spot for proximity to the ski lifts as well as a short walk to many restaurants and shops. We couldn't be more pleased with the location. Ski lockers were great and the staff recommend a great rental shop that delivered and picked up our gear which was extremely convenient. Breakfast delivered to the room every morning was such a delicious treat and nice touch. We also loved the spa area - Outdoor jacuzzi and sauna were really great. We also loved grabbing a drink at the hotel bar every evening - such a great atmosphere and again, wonderful friendly staff. We will absolutely be back!!

The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, especially Chris and Alessandra. Nothing was ever a problem and they catered to every one of our dietary requirements, organised ski passes, recommended restaurants and booked our parking space. The suite was stunning and ideal for our family of 6 people. We are definitely coming back
