I've stayed at this hotel several times and always had a lovely experience. Unpretentious and wonderful; the staff is cordial , competent and the amenities are abundant. Within walking distance there is a Lido nearby that offers all sorts of entertainments, the city center is also a few minutes away. Luca, the proprietor, went out of his way to make our stay smooth and charming.

The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Its saving grace would have been the view, except massive trees blocked out all the light. Yes, its a charming old building. But this room should never be rented as a double

family-type hotel, older building, but well-kept. Breakfast is a buffet, the cuisine is very tasty, a large selection of drinks. I really liked the terrace. The rooms are small but clean. There is a bus stop nearby and 7 minutes to the center. If you don't want to spend a lot for an overnight stay, this is a great place.

My spouse and I were staying near this hotel and had a very pleasant experience dining and having drinks in the restaurant. During our meal we discovered that the proprietor, Luca, is a mixologist and he crafted a unique and tasty cocktail for us. It was so good that we returned the next evening for cocktails. I would highly recommend stopping in for a drink if you’re in Lugano.

Great place and venue. Very good location. Nearby Town centre but also Gandria. Very friendly owner and staff. Food is amazing. Evening cocktails very much recommended and affordable prices. My room had a great view of the lake. I can't find a fault for this place

Room is very small. We booked a room with a view, but since it was on the first floor a tree blocked almost the entire lake view. Room was slightly dirty, just wasn't well cleaned. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Lots of tiny ants in the room. Smells like stale cigarette smoke. Bed was poor quality and bed frame is loud Service staff were nice Location is great, close to central Lugano. Road beside is a main commuter route to/from Italy with lots of noise if you're on the balcony, but the room is quite soundproof.

We were cheated by Google reviews and Travelocity showing positive reviews about this “three star” hotel that is one star shelter. I will contact TX attorney general and sue Travelocity for advertising low quality rooms as “hotel”. Do not stay there, the room is more like an old shelter for homeless not a hotel. Old structure and poorly maintained located by noisy street reminds of prison cell, also the view of the lake is totally obstructed by other buildings. Floors and under the bed not cleaned, no A/C odor inside, dirty with cracked walls. We were excited to visit and what a bummer so we left next morning back to Italy where hotels and services are superb. I do not recommend.
