We camped here. This was one of my least favourite campsites on our ring road trip. It really wasn't clear to me where we should park based on the signs. No one was working here when we arrived dinner time to ask any questions so we just did what other campers did. But I still don't think we were all parked in the right place. View was nice from camper. The common room / kitchen was really well equipped. You could cook a full meal in there and I think there was a full oven. They had dish washing as well. There is a washroom inside. Outside there is one of those portable bathroom / shower setups with a 2 of a bath / shower combo. I didn't love these on our trip because some places people lock the outside for the washroom and the shower at once. Can you use the washroom while someone is in the shower? I am not sure. Later in the evening they locked one of them so we had 1 washroom / shower for the full campground of like 12 - 15 campers. One of the campers had like a family of 8 in it so one washroom isn't really sufficient. That washroom still wasn't open the following morning. Also to note - I know it's more eco friendly but towels for drying your hands doesn't feel clean to me. Especially when I didn't see one person working here - who changes these towels? When we went to leave I went into the hotel and still no one on the desk in the morning. I hit the door bell, yelled out for someone. There couldn't have been any one staying in this hotel. I had to walk around the entire hotel yelling out for someone. I really didn't want to leave and not pay but I had to work to find someone to take my money. Finally I found a man cleaning a room and he thanked me for coming to find him and pay. I get the feeling people just don't always pay here. This was a real mixed experience for me. Fine for a night if you are in the area but I'd probably look elsewhere.

Amazing campsite with a beautiful winter garden as a shared space. Very cozy and warm inside with beautiful kitchen. Kitchen has lots of kitchen equipment including french press and moca pot for fresh morning coffee. They also have fridges you can use overnight and this was an only campsite with oven we had during our trip so you can even make pizza. There are warm showers, the best facilities we had for a good price 2500/ person, but all other facilities are free of charge. Highlight is walking up to the sound of farm animals and beautiful view of the iceberg.

So far this has been our favourite campsite during our Ring Road trip! There were only three other campervans during our stay. It was so quiet and peaceful. The indoor kitchen facilities are fantastic; it was clean, well equipped, and there were more than enough tables and chairs. We loved the outdoor picnic table area. The best part- we woke up in the morning to sheep surrounding our campervan! You pay for the campsite at the hotel reception.

It seems odd based on the remaining ratings, but our experience was bad. Our two rooms were not cleaned at all, a lot of dust below the beds, I found several hairs in my bed. Mattresses were very soft, making it difficult to sleep. In one of the bathrooms, there were still papers. When we ask for one more bath and face towel in each room, staff were really unkind and rude. Also, we were in the living room at 10pm and the staff got us out because they need to close the space, but they were really rude kicking us out. I sincerely do not believe this rate above 4 is fair and accurate. Unless we had really bad luck with both rooms.

This is our third day in Ice land and we rented a camper van. We are on the hunt for aurora and we found it here. Other than the previous review that you've read. I must say that this is a good camper site as well to consider if you are passing through. They have power plug as well. You just have to ask in advance. Make sure you call before they close for electricity. Anyway, bathrooms are clean and tidy. Probably just needed some extra hooks for clothes. The hotel reception was topnotch for a farm hotel. Go and try it. 😉

We parked our camper here. The location was beautiful. Showers were clean and they had a nice warm indoor kitchen with all facilities including a toaster, oven, utensils etc. one of the best campsites we stayed at!

Great campground. Clean showers and washroom. Campsite also has a common kitchen area. Secluded off the main road and the gentlemen who checked us in was nice and prompt with showing us around. Beautiful views of the mountains in the background would definitely recommend.

We parked our campervan in their designated lot. The facilities and guest dining room are top notch! The hosts were very nice and they don't mind if you arrive late, just pay up in the morning and it's no worries. The water is very hot. And to top it off we saw the aurora here!
