Hotel Florid Nepal

A Friendly place, it's a budget place to stay, reasonable given the central location. The bedding is clean and the showers have pressure and are hot. It has a very nice garden to chill out in. The food is priced we'll and the portion size is good. Looking at the fixtures I imagine it was quite an upmarket hotel in it's time.

Lovely hotel! Placed at a very convenient spot with so many places to shop and eat! Nice little garden outside. Ran by a marvelous tour company that made my trip in Nepal enjoyable. Facilities are adequate and room was cozy.

Friendly & helpful people, clean room, strategic location, easy access to various tourist attractions, reasonable price. Unreliable wifi and water heater regularly caused by electricity blackout, I guess it is normal here since many other restaurants & shops at this area had the same problem, anyway adding a power generator might be great. Staircase at the doorways, 5 storeys without lift nor escalator, make it not disability-friendly.

Stayed pre & post trekking. Very well run hotel. All staff are friendly & competent - front desk, manager, waiter, etc. Excellent price for decent rooms. The garden restaurant attached to the hotel is a real gem.

Would stay again for the location only. The rooms are not that nice. They usually have a tv in them - but that doesn’t mean that it actually works. I had to move the tv and the table around just so I could get it working. Bathroom is okay with hot water all day. Everything is noisy around the hotel, so don’t expect to be able to rest during the day or early in the evening. WiFi is available but not working that well.

Hotel is centrally located. Good friendly staffs. Rooms are clean. Toilets are bit congested but well equipped. Excellent restaurant environment. Good wifi in rooms and restaurant. Good value for money.

Amazing location, at first Kathmandu was confusing with its winding and twisting road system. But the Hotel Florid is near the heart of Thamel district, it made it a breeze to get out and explore. The rooms are from extremely new and modern to more of a traditional large room. All floors above 1 have insuite bathrooms, the rooms are nice sized (I stayed in the modern room the first couple nights, then a single occupancy (double bed) room, to the double and single bed traditional room. All were comfortable, clean, and most of all the restaurant in the rear was a tropical paradise with beautiful plants and great food.

Love this hotel to bits. Dipak is a wonderful host and the team are super friendly. You cannot miss this hotel while you're in Nepal.
