This property is an old local hotel run by a very nice family since decades. Tripadvisor lists it as a restaurant, but it is also a hotel which has been renovated and updated. It is officially a 1 Star hotel, but the quality belongs to a 3 Star hotel.||Hostal Fonts del Cardener, as the name in Catalan suggests, is located just a few hundred meters away from the Cardener river spring. This is in a nice valley in the Pre-Pyrenees and very close to Port del Comte alpine ski resort and Tuixent-La Vansa cross-country ski resort. Spring, summer and autumn offer also great opportunities for trekking and hiking. ||As said, the whole hotel is renovated, so rooms (which don't have numbers but names) are very pleasant, modern, comfortable and clean, and the sleeping quality is excellent (no noise at all). Their ensuite bathrooms are also very new, clean well equipped and spacious.||In addition to rooms, this place is popular for its restaurant and the excellent food they serve both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had been here as a kid with my parents and grandparents, so it was a pleasure to be back and appreciate the passion the owners and employees work with. They love the place, they love their work, so customers just enjoy and benefit thanks to the quality they have achieved as a hotel and restaurant. Don't miss it!
