I booked what was written as a "Junior Suite with Balcony" to celebrate my partner’s birthday.
However, the room we were given had no balcony.
Even when I showed the manager the booking confirmation on my phone, he never even looked at the screen, an attitude that already said a great deal.
The most disappointing part was the way the problem was handled.
The requirement was simple: either honour the room category that was booked, or, if that was impossible, clearly explain the reason and offer a proper alternative.
Instead, the manager focused on excuses rather than an apology, repeating the same explanations and wasting our time.
We were left waiting indefinitely to be moved and effectively lost an entire day of our trip, ruined the birthday of my partner.
Only the next day were we finally given the correct room.
But what ultimately prompted me to write this review happened afterward:
during dinner, one staff member set a plate down in front of me with a loud, deliberate thud and made a brief remark that sounded unmistakably like a sneer.
It may seem small, but experiencing that after the issue had supposedly been resolved left me deeply uneasy.
That single moment motivated me to leave this account.
Another point must be made very clearly.
Among all the guests I saw, I was the only person of East Asian background; my partner and everyone else were Western.
Yet I was the only one treated with open discourtesy, including the repeated incidents of a plate being slammed down and those sneering tones.
I am convinced this was more than a simple misunderstanding.
It was the only time I have been treated in such a way in Mallorca because of my appearance, and the sense of humiliation remains vivid.
Throughout all this, the manager kept saying, again and again, "You won't find a hotel like this anywhere else,"
displaying a kind of pride that defies belief.
After delivering the worst service I have experienced in my entire life, he insisted in front of guests that his hotel was the best?
a logic that was astonishing, as if the praise was really meant only for himself.
During every conversation I felt as though I was speaking to a wall; my words simply did not register.
That self-congratulation remains impossible for me to accept, especially since this was only the first of seven hotels we stayed in on this trip through the region.
Every hotel that followed was brilliant: staffs unfailingly kind, rooms exactly as promised or even better! And some of them were even half the price of this one.
The contrast was so striking that the moment we stepped into the lobby of the next hotel the memory of this first one began to fade.
Based on this experience, I find the reservation and customer service practices of this hotel unreliable.
If you are expecting a "Junior Suite with Balcony," there is every chance you may face the same ordeal.
While the blonde woman at the front desk was friendly, the rest of the staff seemed ready to deliver the worst service to paying guests.
I cannot recommend this place, neither for a special occasion nor even as an ordinary stopover.
