Lovely hotel with great location |This hotel is so charming and unique - staff are helpful & friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a good size with lovely shower. The rooftop restaurant is so beautiful & the view is amazing. We had drinks at the end of busy days in the American Bar. The view is stunning and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Bar staff are friendly and attentive. However the drinks are very expensive and this is the only reason I haven’t given five stars. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when in Rome again. Wonderful experience.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent location, walk to the main train station and walk to the Metro for Vatican visit and the colusseum and roman forum down the road. It is a very elegant hotel. Breakfast on the roof was brilliant, good choices and great service. the room was a bit cramped, not much space but big enough but did have a great bed, view and bathroom. Not too sure about the paper cups for tea in the room. Plenty of great restaurants around. Staff were not the most engaging but professional and polite.

This bar is in a great location but tonight I was really disappointed. We were a group of 9 early evening, mid week and were told to be quiet. The bar was not full. The older waiter told my husband to leave a 100 euro tip. Our bill was 560 euros. My husband paid it. I live in Italy. I know for sure no Italian leaves such a tip and also that no Italian waiter would ask an Italian for money. Not cool. We had been at this bar this summer and had a great time. None of this rubbish.

The following is my experience using this hotel 1/ the buffet breakfast is fantastic. Very balanced and you can fill up for the day. Coffee included . The tables are not busy at all when it opened at 7am, had a lovely private terrace with. View to eat and do some work. Highly appreciated . 2/ the rooms are a good size for Rome, they are however dated and the desks and chair provided were not suitable to work at for longer then a hour or so. I found the room temperature hard to balance, and the AC not easy to work. Large windows are available . 3/ for the price I paid, I was located on the first floor in an “extension” that required two lifts (you go up a floor, then walk a corridor, and go down another floor) . Not ideal for 1.8k AUD for 3 nights in shoulder season (October) 4/ the American bar ; I tired to use this, and no service was provided (no one came to take orders etc after being seated). Very odd. I decided to move on to meet up with colleagues. 5/ location - you can’t be close to everything , I found this venue hit the mark for what I wanted. Near the historic ruins, but walkable to all major tourist areas . 6/ I found the front desk team very kind and attentive in the evenings. Thank you. I had a horrible experience on check out with a rude and assertively aggressive man. Totally changed my view - I would not stay here again.

Excellent location. Rooms a little small and rather gloomy. To be honest we didnt spend much time in the room. Perfect for sight seeing just a stones throw from the Coliseum. Breakfast was good. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel so we didnt eat in their restaurant. Staff were very helpful.

This is an amazing and historic hotel that looks onto the Forum ruins, and is a 10 minute, easy walk to the Colosseum. The staff is friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious with a beautifully updated bathroom. And an incredible view from our room. The open air rooftop bar is a hidden treasure, and the breakfast room and offerings are fantastic. Plenty of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Hotel Forum!

We have just returned after 4 days in Rome staying at Forum Hotel. This is a beautiful classical Italian hotel very central to many key attractions with the Colosseum less than 5 minutes walk away and Spanish Steps 20 minutes walk. They have a stunning roof top bar. We went in November so we were able to get into the bar very easily but I can envisage in summer you may need to book. This hotel is clean and staff are so friendly. Thank you all to the whole team for making our stay so comfortable!

Google
Great location! It has an on site, underground parking garage. Walkable to the Colosseum (5-ish min) and Trevi Fountain (about 10 min). Several restaurants within a 3-5 minutes walk. Hotel staff were all very kind and helpful. Therw is a rooftop bar with wonderful views. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. It was hilarious actually! Got some gelato, then saw some thousand year old ruins, then told a knock knock joke. Then had the food! Service, and look of the place is Great!! Solid restaurant

Yelp
This review is about the rooftop bar called American Bar that you enter from this restaurant. I have not eaten at this restaurant so cannot comment on the food or the service here. The rooftop bar is small but very cozy and has fantastic views of the ruins in Rome. Go there before sunset for a cocktail and watch the sun go down. It's magnificent. The bar has a decent cocktail menu. On suggestion of a local colleague I tried the Americano cocktail which is a Roman invention named after the American tourist, who seem to like this cocktail. They brought out chips and snacks for us throughout the evening and the bar tender was pretty good and made a decent cocktail. If you are looking for a rooftop bar in Rome, I would definitely recommend this one. It's classy, cozy and has an amazing view.

Yelp
Very werid experience. The servers kept taking the wine list from us without asking what Chelsea wanted. They had plenty to give out to other tables so it wasn't that reason. The server then brought us a wine glass for Chelsea which she didn't ask for and they still charged us. Werid. The food was just ok. We honestly went for the view but, the way that set the lighting up for the holidays made a terrible reflection on the windows so you couldn't see out well. Best part was that one of the managers asked us to visit the outside bar that was closed. It allowed us to take a couple pictures of the city. So a ok pricey dinner(we knew the costs beforehand) ended in a delight with the view I wanted. Moose Out

Yelp
Fantastic rooftop dinning and bar. My star rating is based on a visit to the rooftop bar to have cocktails while the sun set over a spectacular view of the 1st king of Rome's palace. They did provide nuts and chips with the cocktails.

Yelp
I made reservations for dinner here about a week ago and I'm glad I did. As in, make a reservation if you want to eat here, but eating here is not a "must do" when in Rome. The reason being, the gripes with reservation get priority seating with the views, and this place is all about dinner with a view. Customer service- highly trained and qualified staff who cater to all your needs, making sure your glass is always full. One of the severs was Reno who was wonderful, he was friendly, well mannered, offered to take pictures of my us and and I and just very pleasant. He made the whole dinner worth it. Ask for Reno. Dinner itself- the menu offers a variety of selection including plenty of wines. They also have a chef selection tasting menu which was 75 euros. You are able to order off the tasting menu a la Carte as well. I ordered the black ink pasta which was good, but I found it to be really salty. If it went for that, it's a great dish to try. My husband got the ravioli which was delicious, but very creamy so it made us very full. I would def recommend this. We had drinks earlier upstairs in the American bar which was an experience itself. So for two dishes, two cocktails is and half A bottle of wine the bill was just over 120 euros. By all means, I think there is better food other places, and their food is good also, But keep in mind that it is all about the view.

Yelp
We stumbled onto this place kind of by accident. What a happy accident indeed! The location is of course fantastic- we expected that part. The food however, turned out to be quite awesome. I had the Sicilian Swordfish with capers, olives, and mushrooms. That is the best fish I have had since Hawaii. Absolutely delicious! The shrimp salad- though it arrived with eyeballs... It was amazing!!! Dessert was a bit underwhelming for me. I should have went with my first choice and had the pear cake but I decided crepes would be more authentic Italian fare. Forget that---go for the pears. I had to bribe my son to get bites of his. :) it's definitely a do! Great place

Yelp
Front staff very rude upon check in which put a bad impression in my head the entire stay. Rooms are clean. Quaint. Morning breakfast really not worth the price but convenient as you head out for the day. American Bar was fabulous. Paulo?? Was an amazing drink master. Well worth visiting. Front staff again rude at check out (different people) I wouldn't stay there again. Price not worth the hospitalty

Yelp
We went here for our last night in Rome and really enjoyed dinner. The service was great and attentive - filling up our wine and water glasses, and even brought over another napkin when my husband hasn't even noticed he dropped his on the floor. We had the mixed Italian h'orderves for an appetizer, which was a charcuterie board (salami, ham, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella) and it was a great start to the meal. I got the Paccheri Salsiccia di Norcia del Broccoli, which was a light cream/butter sauce with sausage and broccoli and big, thick, perfectly al dente pasta. It was SOOO GOOD! My husband ordered Fettuccine Gamberi Zucchine e Zafferano, which was a pasta with shrimp, zucchini, and saffron. He enjoyed it and didn't leave a scrap on the plate, although he did say he liked mine more. We did not order dessert, as even just melon was 18 euro... so on our walk back to our hotel, we grabbed gelato for a cool 2 euro instead. There was also live music - a man playing the piano and singing, which was a great surprise. Although we didn't get the best table, we still had a great view of the capital. We would highly recommend this place, especially as a way to cap off a trip to Rome. Cheers!

Yelp
The view is incredible for sunset...if you get one of 3 tables that can view it. The service was slow and you have to be very aggressive to snag any of the good tables should they open up. 3 groups that arrived after us all got reseated to the good tables. The drink prices are expensive for sure so I'd come @7/7:30, grab a drink and some pictures then head elsewhere for the evening.

Yelp
Definitely a great place for a dinner date. definitely do get a reservation to secure a table with a great view. the food was good and the service was exceptional. Worth going mostly for the view

Yelp
Food is overtatted and the place is not that great. very expensive for what it is. The place feels like one of those old restaurants. Was empty and the food was really bad. Service was not great and we couldn't even enjoy thr terrace!
