Amazing location, located near the Colosseum and Roman Forum ruins. Great rooftop bar with a view of Rome and the ancient ruins. Fantastic service! Pros: Location, service, cleanliness, and rooftop bar. Con: Small room (but I chose that and since I was solo and always out sightseeing, this isn't a bad thing - but worth pointing out)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Forum in Rome for one night, primarily to ring in the New Year and enjoy the fireworks on December 31st. While the hotel is on the smaller side, it is incredibly convenient and spotlessly clean. Its prime location means you're just a short walk—around 500 meters—from the Colosseum, making it easy to explore the area. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat. We had booked the rooftop terrace for New Year's Eve, and it was a fantastic experience! With limited seating, the atmosphere was intimate and exclusive, allowing us to fully enjoy the stunning fireworks display as we celebrated the arrival of 2025. After the festivities, the staff surprised us with some delicious traditional Italian dishes, adding a lovely cultural touch to our celebration. The next day, while checking out, we faced a bit of a challenge booking an Uber. However, the front desk staff went above and beyond to assist us. It took nearly an hour, but they remained patient and dedicated, successfully booking our ride for us. Overall, our stay at Hotel Forum was delightful, characterized by a warm and helpful staff, a charming atmosphere, and a fantastic location. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience the heart of Rome, especially during the festive season!

Hotel Forum is perfectly located for the Forum, Colosseum, and other sights in the centre of Rome. Our room is large with comfortable beds. It's cleaned every day by lovely staff. The best part is having breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the Forum. The views speak for themselves. Reception staff are friendly and accommodating. They've helped us with multiple requests, and service is always with a smile. I'd recommend staying here if the Forum and Colosseum are on your list of places to visit. You can't get closer.

The staff (especially the bell hop) were amazing and very accommodating. We did need two rooms and while they were a great size and nice, one of them smelled like cigarette smoke. Not much the hotel can do if a guest smokes in the room though and I did bring it to their attention so hopefully they clean it better to help with the smell. The rooftop bar was nice but the drinks were very pricey ($60 for 3 drinks). Loved the breakfast included the next day, pancake maker was a bit slow and it did take some time waiting to use it.

Best location Grand HOTEL in ROMA. Perfect location, and the workers care about you as if you are a loved one. Especially starting with the owner, Roberto Troiani, architect, and all at the front desk and Maria Troiani behind it all in the office. The sunset, AMERICAN BAR ROOFTOP as well; has awesome views of both the ancient Roman forum and the Augusto and Trajan forum, too. Get up on the rooftop American Bar before sunset and enjoy an aperitivo and ask for a unique cocktail that I enjoy, a (Boulevardier) no it doesn't have any GIN its a Negroni with Bulliet Bourbon. ||Most travelers visiting Roma will order an Aperol Spritz or Campari Spritz. They are tasty, too. The aperitif time is like the USA happy hour only here in this hotel it is better with a magnificent view of ROMA. The beds will MAKE YOU WANT to stay longer since they are the most comfortable and clean ones of any of my extensive travel adventures! Believe me, I've traveled from Nice, France, all through the Provence region and Monico, up to the Chateau Eza, and I drove through Italy, sleeping in 67 villages and cities since June 2023. This HOTEL FORUM ROMA is the BEST of THE BEST, so ENJOY the great hospitality. Know that the breakfast, if you want them on your reservations are wonderful also with great views of ROME. The Hotel staff, all of them are DOLCE; sweet, caring and the food is tasty; if your feet, lol toes, are hurting as mine are from all of your walking, stay for dinner which is a treat too. The wine selections are tremendous, and the rooftop bar with views is a perfect spot to enjoy desert or after dinner chats and cocktails. It is very romantic since the views are awesome and the patio was recently remodeled, the owner is an architect. I am highly recommending the {HOTEL FORUM ROMA} Www.hotelforum.com every reason that I myself enjoy and must have in a perfectly located hotel. I am Leonardo Zanello on Facebook, I'm an Italian U.S. citizen, traveling photojournalist with my very tough, hard to please tastes for nice experiences, great comfortable pleasures and adventures. Came for a family holiday with my parents and my fiance. I was very impressed with the location and my room had a view of the Roman Forum. The room was adequate for what I needed, just a place to lay my head at the end of the day, and to wash. The main complaint about the room was that it was right next to the staircase to the restaurant area, the stairs were very creaky, and it seemed that there was virtually no sound insulation at all and I was woken up every day by this. The breakfast was included in the price of the room and the restaurant has one of the most spectacular views of any city. The breakfast had a reasonable selection of fruits, and pastries, and there were eggs, pancakes, meats, and cereals. The American bar is above the restaurant, and is really cozy and is an excellent place to watch the sunset. The price is very high for drinks, so we only stayed for one drink each. Overall what you are paying for is the view, and the proximity to some of the main attractions of Rome, and if I had to put up with a bit of noise each morning for that, well that's a price I'm willing to pay.

We chose the Hotel Forum for it's unrivalled location and the garden terrace for breakfast. It's a charming hotel and the service is fair. Rooms are on the more traditional side and are small but were also clean and functional. Air conditioning, as some others mention, isn't the most efficient but with the windows closed it was plenty to keep the room a comfortable temperature at night. We did have some issues with the water and communication wasn't great but once this was raised with the front desk the supply was reinstated for us to shower before the works took place. |If you're booking specifically for the rooftop bar, it's worth enquiring in advance as we found they book out with functions. However, a credit to the team, on both occasions we tried to visit for a drink they were busy with events but recommended an alternative time to return.

Yelp
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. It was hilarious actually! Got some gelato, then saw some thousand year old ruins, then told a knock knock joke. Then had the food! Service, and look of the place is Great!! Solid restaurant

Yelp
This review is about the rooftop bar called American Bar that you enter from this restaurant. I have not eaten at this restaurant so cannot comment on the food or the service here. The rooftop bar is small but very cozy and has fantastic views of the ruins in Rome. Go there before sunset for a cocktail and watch the sun go down. It's magnificent. The bar has a decent cocktail menu. On suggestion of a local colleague I tried the Americano cocktail which is a Roman invention named after the American tourist, who seem to like this cocktail. They brought out chips and snacks for us throughout the evening and the bar tender was pretty good and made a decent cocktail. If you are looking for a rooftop bar in Rome, I would definitely recommend this one. It's classy, cozy and has an amazing view.

Yelp
Very werid experience. The servers kept taking the wine list from us without asking what Chelsea wanted. They had plenty to give out to other tables so it wasn't that reason. The server then brought us a wine glass for Chelsea which she didn't ask for and they still charged us. Werid. The food was just ok. We honestly went for the view but, the way that set the lighting up for the holidays made a terrible reflection on the windows so you couldn't see out well. Best part was that one of the managers asked us to visit the outside bar that was closed. It allowed us to take a couple pictures of the city. So a ok pricey dinner(we knew the costs beforehand) ended in a delight with the view I wanted. Moose Out

Yelp
Fantastic rooftop dinning and bar. My star rating is based on a visit to the rooftop bar to have cocktails while the sun set over a spectacular view of the 1st king of Rome's palace. They did provide nuts and chips with the cocktails.

Yelp
I made reservations for dinner here about a week ago and I'm glad I did. As in, make a reservation if you want to eat here, but eating here is not a "must do" when in Rome. The reason being, the gripes with reservation get priority seating with the views, and this place is all about dinner with a view. Customer service- highly trained and qualified staff who cater to all your needs, making sure your glass is always full. One of the severs was Reno who was wonderful, he was friendly, well mannered, offered to take pictures of my us and and I and just very pleasant. He made the whole dinner worth it. Ask for Reno. Dinner itself- the menu offers a variety of selection including plenty of wines. They also have a chef selection tasting menu which was 75 euros. You are able to order off the tasting menu a la Carte as well. I ordered the black ink pasta which was good, but I found it to be really salty. If it went for that, it's a great dish to try. My husband got the ravioli which was delicious, but very creamy so it made us very full. I would def recommend this. We had drinks earlier upstairs in the American bar which was an experience itself. So for two dishes, two cocktails is and half A bottle of wine the bill was just over 120 euros. By all means, I think there is better food other places, and their food is good also, But keep in mind that it is all about the view.

Yelp
We stumbled onto this place kind of by accident. What a happy accident indeed! The location is of course fantastic- we expected that part. The food however, turned out to be quite awesome. I had the Sicilian Swordfish with capers, olives, and mushrooms. That is the best fish I have had since Hawaii. Absolutely delicious! The shrimp salad- though it arrived with eyeballs... It was amazing!!! Dessert was a bit underwhelming for me. I should have went with my first choice and had the pear cake but I decided crepes would be more authentic Italian fare. Forget that---go for the pears. I had to bribe my son to get bites of his. :) it's definitely a do! Great place

Yelp
Front staff very rude upon check in which put a bad impression in my head the entire stay. Rooms are clean. Quaint. Morning breakfast really not worth the price but convenient as you head out for the day. American Bar was fabulous. Paulo?? Was an amazing drink master. Well worth visiting. Front staff again rude at check out (different people) I wouldn't stay there again. Price not worth the hospitalty

Yelp
We went here for our last night in Rome and really enjoyed dinner. The service was great and attentive - filling up our wine and water glasses, and even brought over another napkin when my husband hasn't even noticed he dropped his on the floor. We had the mixed Italian h'orderves for an appetizer, which was a charcuterie board (salami, ham, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella) and it was a great start to the meal. I got the Paccheri Salsiccia di Norcia del Broccoli, which was a light cream/butter sauce with sausage and broccoli and big, thick, perfectly al dente pasta. It was SOOO GOOD! My husband ordered Fettuccine Gamberi Zucchine e Zafferano, which was a pasta with shrimp, zucchini, and saffron. He enjoyed it and didn't leave a scrap on the plate, although he did say he liked mine more. We did not order dessert, as even just melon was 18 euro... so on our walk back to our hotel, we grabbed gelato for a cool 2 euro instead. There was also live music - a man playing the piano and singing, which was a great surprise. Although we didn't get the best table, we still had a great view of the capital. We would highly recommend this place, especially as a way to cap off a trip to Rome. Cheers!

Yelp
The view is incredible for sunset...if you get one of 3 tables that can view it. The service was slow and you have to be very aggressive to snag any of the good tables should they open up. 3 groups that arrived after us all got reseated to the good tables. The drink prices are expensive for sure so I'd come @7/7:30, grab a drink and some pictures then head elsewhere for the evening.

Yelp
Definitely a great place for a dinner date. definitely do get a reservation to secure a table with a great view. the food was good and the service was exceptional. Worth going mostly for the view

Yelp
Food is overtatted and the place is not that great. very expensive for what it is. The place feels like one of those old restaurants. Was empty and the food was really bad. Service was not great and we couldn't even enjoy thr terrace!
