Hotel Forza Terra, Bay of Kotor, Montenegro - Explore & Book

"For a double dose of seafront glamour and eclectic boutique decor, head this way. This stunning 12-bedroom hotel, with its neo-classical façade complete with wrought-iron balconies, is perched on the shoreline of Dobrota. Forza Terra is perfectly positioned for toe-dipping in the glistening sea while sipping a cocktail, or sunning on the hotel’s small private beach. The owners know a thing or two about creating a welcoming, laid-back vibe with added bling: they also run swanky Hotel Forza Mare, a short drive or buggy ride away, and a firm i-escape favourite. Here, a marble staircase spirals up to the rooms, each individually decorated (and named) with A-List fashion houses in mind. Fabrics are lavish; sea views from balconies are far-reaching and wondrous. Channel your inner Beyoncé in the Louis Vuitton room, before heading down to the sea for a pre-dinner dip. The food here is first-rate. Devour fresh, locally sourced monkfish, with mountains as your backdrop. Or take a stroll along the picturesque shoreline to Kotor's charming Old Town, where dining options are aplenty. Hire a bike or car and head out: there are secret beaches to be discovered and organic food markets to explore. Highs The service is second to none – hotel staff here are super-friendly and helpfulEasy access to the sparkling sea, straight from the waterside terrace. Help yourself to a fresh towel and dry off on one of the cushioned loungers. Bliss! By all accounts the fresh, locally sourced organic food served in the restaurant is excellentThe small but perfectly formed spa, with its Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and top notch treatments Lows Both pools (indoor and outdoor) are small, as is the private beach (which is pebbly not sandy as are all beaches in Boka Bay), but the water is divine! It's a half hour walk along the shoreline to Kotor's old town, but the view is lovely and the path is flat. Or get a taxi (EUR3-5)No kettle or drinking water in the roomsNo twin-bedded rooms" - Handpicked by our hotel experts

Wonderful Stay at Terra Forza Hotel Kotor I spent an unforgettable week at Terra Forza Hotel Kotor with my daughter. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly well taken care of. My daughter accidentally left her backpack in the taxi, and within 30 minutes the hotel had already arranged for it to be returned, amazing service. When I had back pain, the staff personally brought me to the medical center. The level of care and attention we received was truly heartwarming. The owner even took us to the summer carnival, which was such a special experience. The food was excellent, and the added touches like massages, private spa options, and multiple room cleanings per day made the stay feel truly luxurious. We didn’t miss a thing. The only small downside was the common issue of guests reserving sunbeds early in the morning with towels and then not using them for hours. It would be great if the hotel could monitor this more closely. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect, the hotel, the staff, the atmosphere. We would love to return!

We had a rather unpleasant stay here early October. Were meant to stay 6 nights but checked out after 1 night after a sleepless night in a hot room without air conditioning (despite it being advertised as having it), being woken by slamming doors as well as vomiting after gaining food poisoning from the complementary watermelon in our room on check in. When the bags were brought to the room I enquired about how to cool the room down and she suggested the quickest way was turning it off and opening the doors to the belcony. When it came time to close the doors up for the night the room was still hot so went down to reception to enquire again which was when I was told from 1 October they turn off the air-conditioning and switch to heating! Had we known this we would have never booked this accommodation. The next day when checking out the manager had no sympathy for our situation saying he was suprised about the temperature as no one else had complained and that they switch to heating for efficiency reasons. Why in a 5 star hotel can't I have cooling while the next room have heating, it seems crazy to me and came across as money hungry. The charged us the full 6 nights for only staying 1. While I can't prove that the hotel gave me food poisoning I am certain it did as my husband and I ate the same things that day (which were cooked) except for the watermelon which only I ate and I was the only one vomiting of the two of us. Oh and beware you are not allowed to bring in outside food or drink to your room. If they catch you they will charge you an extra night so you can't even enjoy your view on the balcony with a glass of wine unless you want to pay their exorbitant prices of the mini bar. I've never heard of such thing and again just shows to me that they were money hungry. There is nothing to tell you this until you read the book in the room. Wish I'd taken a photo

From the moment you step into this hotel you feel like you’re in an exclusive club. The services are excellent, the spa, pools, sunbathing area and restaurant are lovely and the breakfast is amazing. We were in room 204 which was the Dior room and it was lovely, spacious and spotless. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. We had lunch here but not dinner and that was also lovely. The restaurant next door Timun is worth a visit along with cafe Del mare and Portun, avoiding La Ricetta. We hired the bikes for a day and cycled to Tivat which was a great day.

One of the main reasons we booked here was the listed and advertised room facility having air-conditioning. We are hot sleepers and need a cold room to get good sleep. The daytime temperature was forecast to be 24c. Upon checking in we found the room to be stuffy and called the front desk. She was very attentive but informed us the air-conditioning has been intentionally turned off and only heating was available through the central air (which I had turned on in attempt to cool the room down). We were told to keep the air off and room would cool down naturally. It didn't. We could not get any sleep due to the heat and lack of circulating air. The next day we decide to check out first thing because we felt we were promised an air conditioned room and we were not provided what we had booked. If you cant get sleep because they've decided to turn the airconditioning it's not going to be a pleasant stay. The staff put us on the phone with the hotel manager who was arguing with us about every irrelevant point, like "but we turn the airconditioning off for October" buddy it's hot out and it doesn't matter, you offered an air-conditioned room and didn't deliver it. "Oh but we have other guests (in a hotel of 12 rooms btw) who want more heating, so we essentially have to endure an uncomfortable hot room in 24 degree heat because someone else allegedly wants an even hotter room? ||It was the poor attitude and lack of willingness to even try to fix our situation on behalf of the hotel manager's argumentative and inhospitable approach that turned us off more than anything. The person could not be reasoned with. If he had said: yep no worries, we'll turn the AC back on for you. There would not have been an issue. Instead he refused to turn it on, then later claimed it was on (despite him and two other staff telling us it it was turned off). At that point we just left for another hotel. The manager still charged us for the whole stay despite our experience and checking out five days early.

During my stay in Montenegro, we stopped at the restaurant in the hotel to eat. The food & wine were so delicious! It was such a fulfilling, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. The views were also great. Our server Max was amazing!! He helped us in choosing what to eat off the menu & everything was perfect. His service was impeccable. He really went above and beyond and we appreciated it. Loved it so much here!! Missing a photo of the sea brim which was also so good. They have many fresh daily catch options!

Fantastic hotel and can’t wait to visit again! Beautiful location and views. The hotel staff couldn’t be more helpful and courteous. The food was amazing, especially the fish as it was so fresh. We also had a massage whilst at the hotel, and would definitely recommend getting yourself booking in for one! The hotel is only a couple of kilometres from the old town of Kotor which is definitely worth a visit. The hotel also has parking for those that are driving.

This hotel should be in the book “ Most luxurious boutique hotels in the world “. We were greeted with friendly staff, who valley our car. Reception person also took a time explain everything we needed to know. The entire hotel is so adorable, designed to detail. Our room was I think least expensive, but seemed very luxurious. We enjoyed our breakfast right by the bay with magical views of mountains. Place is literally spotless. They clean your room twice a day ( even floors). Staff is trained to perfection. If I have to pick on something would be a dinner. I ate seabass, literally was swimming in lukewarm water, with couple of tomatoes around. Fish was fresh and delicious. And also got burata salad. Was very bla ( cheese ball and some cherry tomatoes around) and was very expensive. My husband he ate meat dish, which was way better. Anyway waiters was so friendly, very kind. I told them I didn’t enjoy my dinner. Besides that is truly lovely place. And manager also showed us sister hotel “ Mare” and villa|“Forza”. I think all properties is incredible. Thank you for such a memorable stay and I definitely recommend to anyone to experience this peace of little paradise.

Told the waiter we weren’t hungry and only wanted some fish. I clearly said I didn’t want appetizers. He smiled and said it was “part of the concept,” so we agreed — assuming it’d be a few small tastings. Instead, we ended up with four full portions of starters we never asked for. He didn’t even ask how many we wanted — he just brought them. To be fair — the food was genuinely delicious. But the experience? Felt like a soft scam wrapped in good service. They made choices for us and padded the bill without transparency. It’s not about the money — it’s about being heard and respected. I don’t pay to be ignored. If you enjoy surprises on your bill and being sweet-talked into overspending, this place has mastered the art.
