Because of the pandemic all standard and studio rooms may only be occupied by one person each room. Only the twin sharing or family rooms may be occupied by two people who are couples or related family members.||||The place is frequented by travelers who need to stop for the night before continuing to the Cagayan Valley Region.||||Here is my experience: The hotel rooms are clean and presentable. Everything in the room and bathroom works as it should be. A power card attached to the room key is required to power the electricity for the room. There is satellite TV service on the relatively small LED TV but the picture is very grainy. I don’t really watch so much TV but it just so happened there is an ongoing NBA Play-in Tournament at the time. I had to bear watching the Lakers-Warriors game on a grainy screen. And someone should clean the back of the TV because dust and cobwebs have accumulated.||||There were some paint patches and packaging tape patches for what seems to be holes at the side of the closet. It is an aesthetic issue but did not affect the functionality. At the bottom of the closet is a big plug and contraption that I surmise is for the heater. Don’t mess with it. My suggestion is to cover up the bottom portion where the heater plug is located. And it would have been better if both lights on top the bathroom mirror are working. Only one light bulb was functioning at the time.||||The blanket is good quality and the air conditioner functions to my liking.||||The complimentary breakfast tastes good. I suggest the beef tapa for breakfast.||||Wi-fi signal is strong and very much high speed Internet connection speed.||||There were two unpleasant incidents in the five days I stayed. On the first day, there was a damp towel in a clothes hanger left behind by the previous occupant. The staff had failed to properly inspect the closet before turning the room over to me. It was a minor unpleasant incident. ||||The second one is that the staff failed to provide me and my colleague with a towel on the last day. Our rooms were right next door to each other. My colleague had to improvise by using the “smaller towel” which was supposed to be used to wipe the feet outside the shower room. In my case, on the last, I didn’t bother to call because I brought a spare personal towel of my own that had now found a purpose. What disappointed me is that an hour after departure, the hotel front desk clerk called about a missing towel. I am sure it wasn’t the intention but it was my impression that they might have suspected my colleague had stolen the hotel towel. I had to tell the clerk both of us were not provided hotel towels on the last day. Apparently, somebody forgot that, just like someone forgot to take the damp used towel during the first day.||||My suggestion is to secure a checklist for housekeeping for each room. If this is being done, then one or more staff aren’t following procedures.||||I am subtracting one star because of these two unpleasant incidents. There is room for improvement, the hotel management and staff should be more efficient in following procedures.
