Hôtel François Premier Cognac Centre

We stayed for 2 nights with our dog (extra 20Euro per night). The hotel is really lovely - it has covered secure parking (extra 15Euro per night) to the rear and is located right in the middle of town - perfect for us as we could leave the car and walk everywhere. The bar 'Louise' attached to the hotel is great for a nightcap too (the dog is also allowed in there). Be aware though that if you are staying with your dog - they are not allowed in the breakfast room - if we'd been advised on check in we would have ordered room service - but that's our only complaint! We'll definitely stay again.

Great hotel in Cognac and right in the lovely part of town. Easy walk to the river and the various cognac houses. Service was nice and friendly at the hotel. The room (29) was excellent and very roomy with two toilets. Terrible view but that was fine as it was quiet. Recommended.

We spent 3 days in Cognac and this hotel is located on one of the major squares which features the statue of King Francoise. A lovely hotel which had parking available. The room was nicely appointed and very quiet. A restaurant serves buffet breakfast in the morning. From the hotel it's a 10 minute walk to museums and houses of Cognac. Pro tip is arrange your tours ahead of time. There is generally only one English tour per day and all the houses offer the tour in the afternoon which means you can't easily do 2 visits in a single day. We toured Hennessy and very much enjoyed our visit. It rained for most of our visit but thankfully the hotel had umbrellas for borrowing. Several good restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommend La Maison which is Michelin recommended.

I’m just concluding a 2 week stay at Francois Premier Hotel in Cognac. ||I previously reviewed this hotel in July 2022 when I said I loved the hotel but knocked a star off my rating as the hotel had some serious WiFi issues at the time.||I’m happy to report that the WiFi is now amazing (fast and reliable) and you don’t have to login daily and there don’t seem to be to be number of device limits.||The other big change. My room had a brand new beautiful large Philips TV with included streaming services.||Still the best hotel by far in Cognac!!||Also to note: maintenance, continuous improvement, staff friendliness and engagement! The quest for quality never seems to stop!

A nice clean hotel in a good location with a bad parking situation. Cars get hit there and there are no cameras. Hotel management was not very responsive to the camera being installed

We stayed at the Hotel Francois a year ago while researching accommodations for our daughter’s May 2023 wedding. We were impressed with their spacious, clean rooms, helpful staff, and the great location, right off the main square. We loved the hotel so much that we reached out to reserve a block of rooms for our wedding guests. |Sophie worked with us to reserve rooms and was helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. |My guests loved their stay and many of them mentioned a gentleman named Gary at the front desk who went above and beyond to make their stay comfortable. He helped get guests loaded on wedding shuttles, assisted with some who needed to send wedding luggage home before further travel, and even helped a guest recover an earring that fell down the drain!! If you plan to visit Cognac, this is where you want to be!Beautiful rooms and an amazing staff! Thank you Hotel Francois for being such a special part of our wedding weekend. We are grateful!

The best place to stay in Cognac. The staff are very friendly and smiling, the room very nice with a view towards the center. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast area are very plesant and nice, like the breakfast as well. Always nice and clean hotel. Will come back for sure, my favorite hotel i Cognac.

Of all my years of travel, this was one of the best hotels i have stayed inn.🙃 10 stars.
