Hôtel François Premier Cognac Centre

What a great hotel! Booked for my wife’s birthday and they gave us a lovely top floor room overlooking the square. Staff were friendly, efficient and very polite when we spoke with them. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and the 10.00am finish was perfect for a little lie in. First time in Cognac and if we return will certainly be staying here again. A French Hotel with big fluffy bath sheets as well!

A lovely break. The overall experience was great, lovely staff and great location. Hotel bar staff were particularly great - we arranged a spontaneous cognac tasting which was fantastic. She introduced a variety of local and small cognac suppliers and had great knowledge. Rooms were quite basic. Some of the throws had stains on so definitely recommend upgrade of some of the upholstery, throws and cushions. Bathrooms were clean but could with some modernisation. Would revisit.

Very good hotel, rooms are great and breakfast is delicious. The location is in the middle of cognac walking distance from everywhere.

Perfect spot for a stay in Cognac. Well kept and clean. Staff was really helpful. Their cocktail bar was a load of fun.

We stayed for 2 nights with our dog (extra 20Euro per night). The hotel is really lovely - it has covered secure parking (extra 15Euro per night) to the rear and is located right in the middle of town - perfect for us as we could leave the car and walk everywhere. The bar 'Louise' attached to the hotel is great for a nightcap too (the dog is also allowed in there). Be aware though that if you are staying with your dog - they are not allowed in the breakfast room - if we'd been advised on check in we would have ordered room service - but that's our only complaint! We'll definitely stay again.

Great hotel in Cognac and right in the lovely part of town. Easy walk to the river and the various cognac houses. Service was nice and friendly at the hotel. The room (29) was excellent and very roomy with two toilets. Terrible view but that was fine as it was quiet. Recommended.

We spent 3 days in Cognac and this hotel is located on one of the major squares which features the statue of King Francoise. A lovely hotel which had parking available. The room was nicely appointed and very quiet. A restaurant serves buffet breakfast in the morning. From the hotel it's a 10 minute walk to museums and houses of Cognac. Pro tip is arrange your tours ahead of time. There is generally only one English tour per day and all the houses offer the tour in the afternoon which means you can't easily do 2 visits in a single day. We toured Hennessy and very much enjoyed our visit. It rained for most of our visit but thankfully the hotel had umbrellas for borrowing. Several good restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommend La Maison which is Michelin recommended.

Wow!!! 5 stars across the board. Great rooms. Comfy beds. Good pillows. Great service from check in to check out. Great recommendations for food. Special thanks to Gary and Thibault. There's a small small pool but it's good enough to relax!!
