Hotel Franks

A five-star gem at the foot of the Alps It was my first time in Germany and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Franks. The owner and staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the food was superb—every meal felt like a treat. It’s a true treasure sitting at the base of the Alps: a five-star experience with a homely, intimate feel. If you’re visiting Germany, add Hotel Franks to your bucket list. Highly recommended.

The rooms were perfect and cozy. The scenery was AMAZING. My room was 51 and it overlooked the infinity pool, gardens and mountains with the gondola. I felt like it was a fairytale. The service was outstanding and everyone called you by name! The spas were modern and spacious with loads of relaxation rooms. Fresh air and amazing hiking trails. The owners were always available and welcoming. A must for anyone that wants to be with nature

We were there for a retreat of about 25 people and we were spoilt rotten. The owners were involved with all hikes with them, asking if there was anything we required, were we happy and recommending all the community to go to. The spas were very special and modern, roomy and tons of relaxation areas. A true delight and very much a boutique hotel

The hotel is so beautiful! The location is perfect and the staff are so friendly. Our room was large and spacious and the bathroom even bigger! Sigrid our head waitress was exceptional making us feel welcome. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Oberstdorf!

Magical holiday! Great location, outstanding service, extraordinary restaurant/food and beverage, amazing spa, the utmost attention to every detail throughout the stay. The staff is extremely professional, always kind and efficient at the front desk. The restaurant is exceptional, delicious gourmet food, beautiful presentation and the best service, always going above and beyond expectations. The wine list is fabulous with an especially great representation of fantastic local wines. The possibility of enjoying nature and tranquility in the spectacular location is limitless while trekking, biking, running or relaxing poolside. The spa facilities are impeccable and the services excellent. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The best service, food and dpa and location experience : we were taking part in a retreat there , and we were spoiked and so wonderfully taking care of , we will definitely come again!!!!

Franks in a new design - very well done. Food and Service is excellent, also the choices of wine - very good. Prices are decent. Gluten free „Semmel“, which was excellence, was a highlight besides all the excellent food. After all I question why the family member Mrs Frank needs to act as a seater instead of greeting guests once seated - that way, she circumvents being asked to bring some water - since this seems to be not her destiny. All in all 4, instead if 5 stars, because of Mrs Frank. Will visit again however.
