Hotel Frykenstrand

Basic hotel rooms nothing fancy. Very nice staff. great location especially in the summer. Sauna and gym. food is quite ok good breakfast

This hotel was a 1930s resort at one time and still has that lake resort feel. It is right on the lake were you can swim and a sauna on the dock. I liked the old-fashioned feel of the place and hope any future work on the place keeps that retro feeling.

Really good place. Fantastic view. Great food (breakfast and dinner). Several small rooms for having a coffee or watching TV. A big family room with a library and a Billiard table. Great for all ages. Rooms really comfortable. Small but you really don't need more. My only problem is that you can heard to the people living upstairs. We will definitely will come back!

We’ve stayed a few times! It’s very convenient for us when we’re going skiing to stay at this hotel overnight so I don’t have to drive so many hours! The family room has been good! We like the breakfast. The only thing thats a bit negative is that you can really here people walk in the corridor.

We have visited Hotel Frykenstrand three times over the last few years and are very happy about the hotel. Coming back next summer! A "must": To swim in the relatively cool lake before breakfast. A nice way to start the day!

Wasted hours on hopeless EV charging provider chosen by hotel and chose hotel for reasons of promise of EV charging. Stay away from hotels in any way affiliated with “Recharge”. 01AM - hope at least breakfast is good. Btw reception closed 2200 so no help there…

I have been on a solo trip through Sweden and Norway for the past week. I have stayed at several different hotels in different places in the country. Hotel Frykenstrand has been my favorite stop so far. It is located right on the banks of the large lake. The area is surrounded by an amazing forest, and the scenery from the bedroom is picturesque. || I must tell you, that I hardly ever leave a review. This hotel however, was such a delight, that I felt compelled to do so. || I don’t think this hotel is on anyone’s normal traveling route in Sweden, I chose it, because it was off the beaten track. I am touring the country in preparation for retirement here. || So, in summary I would say, if you’re anywhere near the town of Sunne, Sweden, definitely book at least one night stay at Hotell Frykenstrand.

Hotel is too wide concept, hostel should be more correct. Hade stayed at more than 10 better hostels, with far better prices! ||Rooms worn, indifferent staff, not very good dinner or breakfast. Nice wiew, but thats all. Not very accurate homepage, hotel/hostel looks better than real lite... Avoid this place!
