Hotel Gala Placidia

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and really enjoyed our time here. The team put on an amazing spread, with a great selection of food every night. Everything was well presented and plentiful, and we loved it especially the freshly grilled and fried meat and fish, which were excellent. For anyone wanting to eat healthily, the salad selection was fantastic, with plenty of choice and very fresh ingredients. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a great variety of fruit available each morning. It was also lovely to see how friendly the team are, from the front desk right through to the housekeeping staff everyone was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. It was nice to see Heineken Zero included as part of the all-inclusive offering a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. One small downside was that there were no hot drinks available at lunchtime or in the evening, which would have been a welcome addition. That said, it didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay. The location is amazing: close enough to comfortably walk into town, yet far enough away to sleep undisturbed at night especially if you treat yourself to an extra pillow ( there's are too hard )! Overall, a really enjoyable stay with great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a location that’s hard to beat. We would happily return.

I found this hotel very helpful. Central to everything. You can pretty much get anywhere within 15 minutes. Special appreciation to the restaurant manager for helping to make sure my gluten intolerance is taken into account during my stay. I feel that is going the extra mile and is worth a shout out as others may have similar health concerns. It has been a very long time since I have travelled outside the UK. It was a very pleasant trip. Most enjoyed.

3 star hotel that doesn’t pretend to be anything else, but what they do they do exceptionally well.|Everywhere was clinically clean, even the foyer toilets. Our room was cleaned each day including clean towels. The buffet style meals were of good quality with a few theme days, Chinese etc. though have to say not always the hottest but the microwave in the corner sorted that out.|The staff where always pleasant and the animation team did a pretty good job.|If you go all inclusive the beer and wine are ok but the spirits are pretty ‘average’.|We didn’t use the pool it but looked ok and was cleaned each morning.|We would definitely recommend this hotel as one of the best run hotels that we’ve stayed in. Give it a go.

Lau is one of the best at the hotel. We have had such such fun at the entertainment. I joined the games as she was so friendly and welcoming. She took time to to chat to us and explain the games. Such a lovely person. Will definitely be coming back to the hotel . Thank you Lau xx

Lau was amazing and really entertaining, the food was decent, certain nights are delicious, other nights are okay, the rooms are really clean and they clean them every day, wasn’t able to get in the pool as it was too cold but seemed okay, if the other pool was open I’m sure it would’ve been amazing. Bar, drink selection and the bar staff were all brilliant, no complaints there. Overall a really good spot, especially considering the price, good location and the staff!

Me and my partner and grandad stayed at this hotel as mine and my partners first holiday together at the beginning of February for four nights, checking in was easy and quick and the receptionists spoke decent English. The food on the other hand wasn't the best at all, we understand that they have to cater for others form around the world but the most I ate was the chips gravy pasta and the bread at tea time. The Italian night was great they had pizza, lasagne etc. when they did have normal foods such as hot dogs and burgers they looked quite strange, the hotdogs also looked severely anemic. A lot to the food is fish based and when we'd leave the hotel room we'd get a huge whiff of fish or mushrooms. On the last day for breakfast we sat near the bar and as soon as my partner put his plate down at least twenty ants magically appeared in our table so we had to eat out. The walls are very very thin you could hear the people next to you having a wee and people down the corridor arguing; the bin men and coaches came very early morning and they were always so so loud. On the first night we bought my partners mum a bottle of vodka and stupidly left it on the bed side table, it wasn't opened it was brand new, that got nicked on the second day when the cleaners came. The entertainment was ok would've been better if they didn't make me take a pic with a snake and asked me for 20 euros when I was clearly drunk and there's nothing on for kids at all, could barely understand the entertainment lady but we went out to the strip anyway. I didn't have huge expectations and it wasn't the worst but if booked again I'd definitely save euros so I could eat out for tea time. 5 mins from the strip and 2 mins from the famous uncle Ron's which was good, the indoor markets are alright which are also not even a five minute walk away. Also double check your food and drinks for ants 🤢

Just come back and rooms need a good refurbish . Walls were dirty and no fridge . Beds were hard and no room to put anything . Food was warm and worse weve had . Dynastic was better . Foya clean and toilets there were clean . Good thing was the bottles of water in restaurant. Token idea was pretty stupid as you had your band . Would we go back sorry but no as it was a canny walk from strip .
