Hotel Gala Placidia

I Stayed at the Gala Placidia for 6 nights with friends for the Fiesta including the British Fancy Dress. (We were dressed as waiters) I booked the hotel directly as the prices were much better than booking with an agent. The communication with Lukas in the reservation department was excellent, he answered all emails swiflty and made the booking process very easy. The reception was made aware that our party would arrive late on our first night and the staff made sure we were checked in very quickly without fuss, and also arranged for the restaurant to be kept open later so we could enjoy our first meal. The restaurant staff could not do enough for us, and had our table set ready for our arrival. The food was better than expected with a selection of hot and cold food at breakfast, lunch & dinner. There was plenty of choice of drinks at the bar and the waiters were always happy to help and enjoyed a joke whilst serving. The rooms were cosy and cleaned daily including a change of towels. We had a couple of nights playing games with the animation team. A special mention to Alba and Andreia for making everyone feel welcome (They also made us laugh quite a lot).||If I was you, I would egnore the negitive reviews and go with the flow. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a 10-15 walk to all all the Benidorm New Town action if you want it. There is also a handy taxi rank just a minute away.||Hope to be back soon!

All in all we could'nt fault our stay. clean comfortable room, staff very friendly. excellent value for money.. food was very good. missed breakfast most mornings but choice of food for evening meal was very good ( not very hot but very tasty ) there is a microwave if you need it. hotel kept spotlessly clean. beds made every day. neighboring rooms can be a little noisy sometimes.. (take some earplugs just in case) our second time here and already booked for Feb 2026. good location for local busses and short walk to beach and nightlife.

If you’re under the age of 60, don’t bother. The place is a dust fest. Food 1/10 to be generous. Raw chicken and school dinner slop. The bins look more appealing. Entertainment 0/10. A quiz, old people karaoke and a catfish singer, who didn't know the words to any songs. Just made noises down the mic and they were off key. Facilities 2/10 booze and a pool which is blocked from the sun Room 5/10 beds comfy but toilet not attached so after a poop the loo is halfway across the room. Heater that made the room colder and a ceiling that leaked dirty water on ya while you shower. For the positive side, the beach and close. But unless you’re retired, try somewhere else.

I really loved our stay at this hotel. Staff where very nice, rooms where lovely and clean, the area was in a good location, the food was nice and we really liked how it the food was a different theme every day. The Halloween dinner was my favourite meal as they really went above and beyond. If we come back to Benidorm then I would happily stay at this hotel again. So sad going home today but hopefully won’t be long until we come back.

Great wee hotel. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and by the looks of it it's been refurbished in the last few years. Tbh for the price we paid I wasn't expecting much, but was really pleasantly surprised. There's a good selection of places to chill, the food and drink is good, and if the strip is your thing it's about a 10 minute dander away. Would recommend this place for a clean, comfortable and affordable stay in sunny Benidorm.

Very clean hotel. Staff very good. Typical buffet food. 3 star is just about right. Had room 317 to start with. I was then asked to be moved because the noise from quests ( mostly drink related ) Moved to 811. Top floor end room. Thought this was a good move. Wrong ...world's loudest snorer in 810. He...I assume it was a ' he' moved in for my last 2 nights...|The walls of the rooms are ' wafer thin ' so be warned if you want a restful nights sleep and you have a warthog next door

Just returned from a lovely stay at Gala Placidia. It had everything we needed. Clean, comfy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we found that I can fault was the all inclusive food stopped at 9.30 pm which is way too early in my opinion. The bar is open until 12am so maybe snacks could also be served until then. We were starving by 11pm. A little music during the day in the bar also wouldn’t go a miss. Besides those possible small adjustments the hotel was perfect

This hotel could be lovely, but the room walls are so thin you can hear everything in the surrounding rooms and people coming in from the night out. The food is just warm and it's chips nearly every night, everything is overcooked so meat can be quite tough. The staff are lovely and very helpful, if your looking for entertainment forget it as we've been here 10 nights and all we've had is quiz night every night so we've not stayed in. It's a good location for shops, not too far from the beach or restaurants. It's cleaned daily and rooms are too. We would come back to Benidorm just not this hotel as it needs a little updating with entertainment and sound proofing the rooms.
