Hotel Gala Placidia

After reading reviews I was a bit worried about what I had booked, but to be honest, it was a million miles from what I found. It’s the sister hotel to the Dynastic and you can use both hotels if you like. |The room was clean, maid in everyday, beds comfy, plenty of space and a power shower that worked great. The air con was marvellous and worked all day if it was left on. The room I had was a non- pool facing room(but it did face the one in the hotel across the road lol), but who sits on a balcony looking at a pool?? There was no 'Pamplona bull run for sunbeds in a morning or people sneaking down at 4-6am because the pool area only opened at 10am and there were more than plenty of beds all day. Very relaxed and calm. Also there was a kid’s pool with more sunbeds and snack bar near the hotel entrance.|The food was ample, not brilliant, but always something to eat and the refreshments on the All-inclusive was what i expected. In fairness, if you want 5 star dining, then book a 5 star hotel.|Four little things the hotel could take note of, 1) Put a kettle in the room. 2) Put a fridge in the room. 30 get your bar staff (not canteen staff) to smile more and actually serve people than walking away to mop a floor when 4 people are waiting for drinks (just like the Dynastic staff). 4) Put some music on in the main pool area, it does not have to be loud, but makes the day more enjoyable. If you're looking for a cheap hotel, that covers your needs, then look no further.

This was our first holiday abroad for 20 years and our first time In Benidorm. The hotel was faultless. We had a balcony room (406) over the pool which was encased in sun late afternoon and early evening. Walls are a little thin, but our sleep wasn’t affected by that. We were all inclusive and enjoyed all the meals each day. We did eat out a couple of times in the old town only because we wanted to try it out, no other reason. We went all inclusive and the drinks offered were absolutely fine, but can understand why people opt for premium package drinks. Didn’t use the snack facilities so cannot comment. Reading comments about the entertainment we just embraced what was on offer and some parts were really fun. If any grievances it was with other guests behaviour not the hotel, but we were in Benidorm after all!!! But most of all the staff were just amazing, especially the restaurant staff, we had good banter with them every day and it was very sad having to say our fair wells the night before we left. The housekeepers and bar staff also fantastic. I hope the Spanish translated message we left in the tip jar in the restaurant made sense to you all. Thank you for the memories 😘

The behaviour of some groups of guests , men and women at the gala placidia should be closely monitored and dealt with .This definetely spoiled our visit to this hotel and I would never return. The police were called twice to the hotel in the 10 days we were there , to deal with gangs and their disgusting selfish behaviour .I witnessed smoking , drinking and drunk guests in the pool . My sister witnessed a man taking his swimming trunks off and waving them around his head, exposing himself to everyone ! Also a larger woman taking her bikini top off who was clearly drunk .I wish I had witnessed this as I would have reported it to hotel staff...this is not something you wish to see when on holiday ! Noisy gangs of boys next door , entertaining women in the early hours , playing exceptionally loud music ,screaming and shouting, unfortunately the walls of the hotel are very thin so you could hear everything. I dealt with this myself but 2 days later they created the same disturbance .The hotel itself was nice however, clean ,modern , reasonably priced drinks and a good choice of food at breakfast, and Some of the staff were lovely .It was my first and last visit to Benidorm as i now know its not for me , in my opinion it's very much for the younger generation although some older people seem to love it , but we are all different in what we like and dislike. The hotel cannot account for the guests they accommodate and their behaviour, however I really feel some sort of security especially around the pool area is needed, to stop this selfish and rowdy behaviour from spoiling the time for other guests who have saved hard for their holiday. You may say chose adult only hotels , but the people causing the disturbance were adults ! If you are looking for a quieter hotel and a more relaxing holiday i advise to book elsewhere.

Rooms were spotless and spacious. Brilliant air con. The service by all the staff was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Melanie was a great entertainer getting everyone involved. Perfect location with a short walk to the strip but far enough that you can’t hear the strip at night time. Would 100% return.

We went here on a last minute get away and I must admit when we read the reviews (after we booked )we were septicle, but our experience was all positive food was always good with a good selection.|We went all inclusive and it was brilliant did all spirts, beers.|Hotel we found clean , rooms were cleaned daily towels change daily all staff seemed pleasant and friendly , |Not much entertainment at night but we wondered to the centre were there was bars galore so didn’t really bother us.and every where was within a walking distance.|Would we return? YES we definitely will be returning

Go to beni every year but first time at this hotel and I’ll never go to another, the food is unreal for all inclusive so so tasty! Friendly staff, so clean no sunbed wars and 2 beautiful pools! Looking at booking up for October again as we loved it so much

Lovely hotel and experience so far! My first time in Benidorm and it's great for a girls trip. Melanie in particular was especially great with the bingo! A whole lot of fun and such a lovely person. The guys at the bar although I didn't catch their names were fabulous too very jokey and fun!

Returned last night from a 5 night stay at Gala Placidia. We were all inclusive. Plenty of choice of nice food. (microwave on hand as it is not red hot) I can't comment on the snack bar as we never used it. Drinks were great. Ultra all inclusive so we had premium brands. The rooms are VERY clean. Beds made daily along with fresh towels. Great location, 5 min from the shops/strip/beach and a lovely prom walk to the old town. We have been to Benidorm many times but found lots of new bars in the Rincon area, new town & old town. It was a very special trip as at the age of 83, it was the first time my dad had been out of England. I can safely say it won't be his last! Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. My only negative is if you've got loud neighbours, you can hear their conversations, snoring etc 🤭 I paid €40 on the last day to keep my room until 6pm. I would definitely return to Gala Placidia
