Galery69, a Design Boutique Hotel Dorotowo, Poland

"Situated at the lake shore and offering fabulous views, Galery69 is a design hotel featuring modern, avant-garde works of art and design in every room. It has its own beach and a pier extending out across the lake. Each room is different, but all feature fresh pine wood and a clean, white decor. They feature large windows and have easy access to the lake. They all feature a TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, as well as a bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. There is either a balcony or a terrace access. Guests can use wired internet. Stunning forest surrounds the lake and is ideal for cycling through on car-free paths. The hotel is 6 km from a small town called Naterki where there is a golf course. Guests can enjoy a sauna or a steam bath. If the weather is not perfect, you can choose an indoor pool instead of a lake to swim in. The restaurant is at the heart of Hotel Galery69, and when you stay there, the lake is all around you. It specializes in fish, and features an ample wine list. In the summer you can use a boat to get there and in the winter you can walk across the frozen lake. On request, hotel staff can pick up guests from the airports in Warsaw (190 km) and in Gdańsk (180 km), as well as from the train station in Olsztyn (10 km)." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Galery69 (Warmian-Masurian, Poland) 3 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Some hotels, even some very fine ones, exist mostly for economic reasons — maybe New York’s luxury hotels were full to bursting, or Berlin’s boutique supply was running thin. But the best of them are often motivated by something else entirely. It would be a stretch to claim that northern Poland’s Lake Wulpińskie had a massive pent-up demand for a boutique hotel along the lines of Galery69. Not that we’re complaining — the more gorgeously designed, art-infused boutique hotels there are in the world, the better, as far as we’re concerned. Lake Wulpińskie is the setting Małgorzata and Wojciech Żółtowsky envisioned for their creation, and so if you want to see it, Lake Wulpińskie is where you’ll go." - Tablet Hotels

Food and service in the restaurant was awful. Waitress wasn't nice and completly without competences. She didn't know anything about food in the menu, giving wrong informations. Pierogi with meat were disgusting, and I was sick after. Prices on the bill were lot higher than in the menu, looks like stealing. After three weeks of eating every day in restaurants in Olsztyn it was the worst experiences ever.

Better ask for the prices before ordering(those on the menu aren't correct). Service was close to 0. The place is kind of nice but needs a refreshing. We use to come here everytime we were in Poland but we won't anymore

The worst place ever if it comes to restaurant! The worst attitute towards not even guests, people! I ordered coffe, not being a guest of the hotel, I was informed this is exception (she looked like she dainged to do this coffe and to consume my money). Afaterwards, when I took the coffe, she noticed my little dog (the restaurant inside was empty). we go to second chapter. I was informed, dogs are not allowed, meaning if she had known she would have not sold me the coffe. worst energy ever, I experienced.

Perfect place for chill and relaxing. I love the view. I really enjoyed peaceful evenings with staring at the stars. Swimming pool where you can really rest, sauna, fireplace. The food was delicious, and very kind and helpful service. Hotel is not big so I could rest in peaceful atmosphere.

This is one of the best places for the getaway weekend trip. Fist of all it looks and it is great and clean. People are very kind, they speak english and helping in every way. Pool and all SPA area is really nice. View is an amazing and lake and nature is beautiful. Food is good and fresh. Table in the room is oversize and taking too much space. It was some strange smell in the room. The furniture looks good, but it's not comfy except bed and hammock! And it would be great to put some blinds or dark curtains. Charge for renting bicycle is too high.

I must admit that it is one of the best hotels I stayed. Rooms are standard size, not very large but clean and tidy, mostly done in wood. It suits the place and the surroundings but I think slightly modern style would suit here better. The lake view is just gorgeous. Added plus is the amount of the tourist which was very low when I stayed at the hotel. You can rent kayak, pedal boat, swim in the lake or just sit with a drink at the bank. People who work here are top professionals, very polite and always smiling. Prices are little too high for my liking but in the end... money well spent.

What an incredible slice of paradise. We chose the room with the lake view and I need to say this is a must if staying at this hotel. To wake up to such an incredible view and go to bed watching an amazing sunset over the lake is worth spending the extra. We actually stayed here because it was it was central to some other places I wanted to visit. After checking in, I didn’t see the need for leaving to visit another tourist attraction, we spent our four days at the hotel. The hotel is equipped with kayaks, peddle boat, row boats, bicycles - enough to keep you entertained for as long as you want. There’s also a pool, but with a lake you can swim in, why would you want to use that?|One of the many highlights was taking a peddle boat out to the island opposite, and then continuing on from there to watch some beautiful birds nesting on another island.|The restaurant provides a great selection of food, fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced. Again, our intention was to try some restaurants in Olsztyn, but we were so impressed with the food here, we didn’t bother. BTW, they also have a great local beer, the best beer I have ever had! I can’t recall the name, but is was honey based and started with ‘Ork’ I think.|I would love to return again each season and watch the lake change. |I shouldn’t forget to mention the owner’s furniture creations. They have an incredible eye for detail and have made the interior of the hotel simply incredible!|Thank you to all the amazing staff. You made a couple of Aussies extremely happy with memories that will last a lifetime.

The hotel is a member of Starwood Design Hotels and frankly speaking I was expecting decent but quite standard experience. I was surprised already arriving. Hotel setting is beautiful with a small back yard and two piers at the beautiful lake. The interior is modern with distinctive style. The owners and designers were very brave to provide consistency in style throughout all rooms and public spaces. The furnitures are specific, almost every one is a peace of modern art. Each room is unique and they do not resemble typical hotel rooms, of course they have the hotel room functionalities. The specific style makes the hotel experience exceptional.||The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Małgorzata at the front desk and Jacek the sailor man. He made sailing adventurous and fun. ||The wine master Krzysztof was incredibile, making effort to order our favourite wine so we could enjoy it during the stay. ||Unfortunately there is no gym in the hotel. You can go to the gym in the hopping centre 10 kms away what is good option.
