Positive + The room had a window with a nice view to the river. The location is amazing, very centric and next to a boat stop. Internet was good. Room and installations were clean. The owners were very nice and friendly. Negative - Our room (Room 7) was very very very tiny. The size of the room was like 2 meter wide by 5 meters long and the bed occupied most of the width of the room, you could barely walk inside the room. General Overview The room is overpriced for it's size. In general, good experience.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Galleria at the beginning of September. We had room 10, which is overlooking the canal. The day we arrived, we opened the window, and a gondola race was happening right outside. We couldn't have had a better welcome to Venice. The room had everything we needed. |The location was perfect. The Accademia Vaporetto stop is just steps away, and St Mark's is just a short walk over the bridge. |I would recommend this hotel for an authentic Venice experience.

Fabulous host who very helpful throughout our stay. With the city boat transport strike, he arranged alternative transportation to the train station. Even came down to the dock to make sure that we got on the right water taxi. Great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Highest recommendation for the hotel.

We were invited to an event in Venice and our regular Venetian holiday apartment accommodation wasn't available for a short let and the dates we needed so we searched for alternatives. We were delighted with the Hotel Galleria; the price if we booked directly with them rather than booking through an agent plus pre-arrival prompt responses and information. Our view of the Grand Canal was spectacular to be honest. We sat by the window simply enjoying the view and the whole incredible ambience - so lovely we left the curtains open and woke to the early morning deliveries, practicalities and life of the city. The room was comfortable, practical, en suite and had everything we needed. We slept soundly and would not hesitate to return. In fact, I've been trying to work out how soon we can go back to the Hotel Galleria. Some of the TA Reviews on their site were patently unfair and showed a lack of understanding the historical limitations of the city, its development and its environmental constraints. We LOVED being in the Hotel Galleria, the location, the decor, the attention of the staff and the beauty of the place. Coming from the UK it was rather like having the honour to stay at a National Trust owned house. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Room no. 10 is beauuutiful! And the view is just amazing. We would love to come back. Its also not far away from the main spots but dont do the same mistake as my girlfriend and take on good shoes for the long walks through Venice 😁 The service was on point and everyone was so helpful and kind. Grazie mille!

My husband really wanted a view of the Grand Canal but such hotels were out of our price range. Then I stumbled upon the "1 star" Hotel Galleria...what a perfect choice! The location next to the Accademia Bridge and water bus can't be beat. We bought 7-day vaporetto pass at the airport and used it to arrive at the hotel and then used the pass many times during our stay from the convenient Accademia stop next to Hotel Galleria. ||Our hosts, Luciano and Lucio were very welcoming and helpful. We didn't meet them on our arrival day but they left very clear instructions on accessing the hotel keypads...no problem. The maid, Roberta, was very friendly too and showed us a couple rooms as all the rooms are different. She even ran up to us at the vaporetto stop after we checked out of the hotel to bring us a converter and charging cord that we forgot (most appreciated)!||We loved Room 10, which is the largest of the rooms and has wonderful views of the canal. The room has plenty of storage with antique furniture, hot water pot for coffee and tea, and hair dryer. The hotel has quite a selection of rooms for all budgets; one room has their bathroom down the hall. But ALL rooms have the wonderful location. Room 8 also appears to have great views. Room 5 (smaller) looked like a good choice, too; it's on the corner with two views and plenty of sunlight. I think you just need to understand the room you are booking; contact the owners for details and look at the online photos carefully.||The location on Dorsoduro was very nice, away from the crowds of San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. There were many restaurant and café choices for meals. We ate breakfast at Bar da Gino with the locals, lunch next door with a table on the Grand Canal, cicchetti at cafes along the smaller canal and watched the sunset at Zattere (southern end). Plus we took our 2 euro gondola ride at the traghetto stop Punta della Dogana, and watched gondola repairs in process at two different shops. ||I would highly recommend Hotel Galleria for all budget levels!

Grazie mille Luciano&Lucio!!|What a sweet gem of a hotel! The service was wonderful as soon as I arrived. My room was cleaned daily. The place was spotless and the location is 5 star!! You walk out and you are right at the Academia bridge. I stayed in room 7. Facing the Grand canal! Small. But perfect for a solo! The price is right and the location can't be beat. Viva Italia!
