Amazing experience at this hotel!!! We stayed for one night when Redentore firework show was happening. Owner told us everything about the event, also where to make reservations, etc… The view of the canal is just so beautiful, info for movie fans, you overlook an “Indiana Jones” scene straight across the canal, so that is added bonus. From the window is visible Santa Maria della Salute, I would say probably best view in Venice. Very clean room, with high quality bed sheets. The bathroom is also very clean and nice. Perfect english on reception, easy check in, fast check out. I would recommend this to anyone that wants authentic Venice experience. Perfect location near the main area with easy access. Thanks again to the hotel staff for everything. We will return here for sure in the future.

Deciding on a Venice hotel for our two night stay in early May was not easy as we were trying to keep the price under $250USD per night and location is important to us. Based on Trip Advisor reviews we decided to book the standard room for 179E per night. I was worried about the “1 star” but in the end we were happy. Owners Luciano and Lucio communicated with us ahead of time via email and we were given the access codes to the two doors to the building via email before our arrival. There is a spiral staircase to the reception area which is not a problem for us. An envelope with our name and room key and general information was waiting on the desk for us. Our room #2 was compact but the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom is small but the shower worked well. Wifi worked great. There was a hot water kettle and coffee and tea. We loved the Dorsoduro area. We bought tickets ahead of time for the Accademia and it is steps away. There is a little cafe next to the hotel right on the Grand Canal and we enjoyed drinks with an incredible view there. The hotel does not serve breakfast and recommends the Gino cafe around the corner - we went our last morning and wished we had just gone to another of the many cafes in the area. We arrived to S Lucia train station and with google maps made the walk to the hotel. There are lots of crowds and bridges so only attempt if you pack light. Our flight departed Venice Marco Polo airport so we walked 25 minutes to P. Roma and easily caught the ATVO bus for 10e pp and takes about 20 minutes. Our 2nd night we had a great dinner at Al Profeta- be sure to make reservations on their website. Thank you Luciano and Lucio - we enjoyed meeting both of you and staying at your hotel, David and Ann

This delightful little pensione is in the best location, right by a bridge and the Academia vaporetto stop; couldn't be better. Our room was small but functional and the view from the window over the gondolas moored below and towards the Grand Canal was fabulous. We enjoyed watching the world go by from our little table and chairs by the window.||Reception is only manned in the morning which isn't really a problem but we would love it if they started doing breakfasts again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Galleria. The Room, while somewhat small, was clean and beautiful. We had a nice view of the Academia bridge and Canal. The owners/operators were very kind and courteous, and made it very easy to check in even after their operating hours. The location is amazing, and I would recommend spending some time on that side of the bridge before heading over to the main attractions in Venice. We walked around the area and found some great off-the-beaten-path restaurants and pubs, etc, without the crowds. There is a water bus stop right outside by the bridge as well so it is very convenient to get around. Would stay again.

We booked through a third party and did not expect that our private bathroom for room #3 would be an entire hallway away. We also found the door unlocked after cleaning, which made us feel odd about leaving things in there. I got locked inside the bathroom because the lock literally fell off, and the staff member just said “okay I’ll fix it” with no real condolences that I had to call to be let out by sliding the key under the door. The room was small (couldn’t fit through the door with our backpacks on) and noisy from bridge traffic, and the staff member that we interacted with was fine but not as wonderful as I expected from reading other reviews. We did enjoy the location and understand we chose a less expensive room, but we wished we went with a standard hotel room for a similar price honestly.

Loved my four nights here. My single room was small but had everything I needed and the most wonderful view of the Grand Canal. I arrived in the evening when reception was closed but the entry instructions were clear and easy to use. The location is fantastic - vaporetto stop nearby, 5 minutes walk to the stop for the airport boat, 15 minutes walk to St Mark’s Square - and Dorsodouro, where the hotel is located, was a great area to wander around. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby - recommend breakfast at Laguna Bar on the water, just a few minutes from the hotel.

For a one star hotel, this is a fabulous hotel. Great location right on the canal. We found our room to be very clean and as depicted in the photos available online. The best part was Luciano. He went out of his way to help us by making a call to Italo to book us a new train after ours was cancelled and initially rescheduled to an inconvenient time. His customer service went well beyond what was necessary and we so appreciated it. Because of this outstanding service, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Galleria. We had booked a standard double but were very kindly upgraded to a larger room - room 10. It was incredible and so romantic! I would definitely recommend booking room 10. The location is perfect - very easy to find and really well located for sightseeing. We had a beautiful view of the grand canal from our windows. The bed was very comfortable, a great shower and beautiful surroundings. You can hear the boats on the canal at night but that is the same anywhere on the canal even the 5* hotels! We had earplugs and slept very well. I really recommend staying here and for the price the location is unbeatable. Great places to go for coffee and food all very nearby.
