Food served is satvik. The place has super art collection. Rooms are very comfortable. Location is great too. Negative: Fixed menu, no restaurant staff after 9:00pm n we mostly got only cold water to shower.

We recently stayed at this lovely traditional hotel and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a beautiful touch of tradition in its decor and hospitality. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the biggest surprises for us was the food. The hotel serves pure vegetarian meals without onion and garlic, something we don’t usually prefer. However, to our surprise, the food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a peaceful and authentic stay with amazing service and great food, this is the perfect place! We would definitely love to visit again.

We stayed at Hotel Ganges View in April. The hotel is wonderful. Very tastefully decorated and we felt we were in an hystorical place. The rooms are nice and clean, unfortunately there is not so much sun light in the rooms but there is plenty in the porch close to the rooms. The hotel is located near the ASSI GHat and is also easily accessible on foot. The location is absolutely strategic. The hospitality we received was very friendly. We felt like being at home. The breakfast was tasty. The last day we discovered it was the hotel where a vary famosu Italian writer used to stay when he was in Varanasi. His name is TIZIANO TERZANI. Thank you!!!

Amazing hotel in an incredible position a few meters from the Ganges at the Assi Ghat. The rooms are small but comfortable. The terrace is beautiful with an amazing view over the river and nice to chill after the busy streets of Varanasi. Delicious vegan dinner, friendly staff and fascinating owner with his story of the hotel. Recommended!

The hotel Ganges View is a gem. Perched immediately above the teeming river it is in the thick of the action but an oasis of calm. Set in an old family palace, and run still by the family member who inherited it, the hotel is a real piece of the history of the city. The food is excellent, and the rooms clean and elegant, with attached porch sitting rooms rooms full of plants. But the most extraordinary aspect of the hotel is the enormous collection of Indian art of all periods on every wall and table. One can spend hours soaking up the deep art history of India, and hours discussing it with the erudite and very well connected Mr, Singh, who holds court in the reception area with the many fascinating guests: spiritualists, diplomats and writers. Under Mr Singh’s thoughtful guidance we visited the university art museum and ordered the definitive introduction to Indian art history. All in all a fantastic stay, even before counting the wild magic of Varanasi…

We went for a classical music event organised by Kala Prakash. The hotel seemed beautiful with heritage look. Hotel Staff was very polite and supportive.

What an unpretentious yet classy and classic place. Staff and service were amazing and the rooms were as charming and comfortable as you can imagine (we stayed in two). The lobby and dining room are filled with impressive art, and the veranda overlooking Assi Ghat is a special feature. The dining room was also where we enjoyed one of the better meals we had during our 8 day Varanasi visit. One of our all-time favorite hotels.

I have no words to describe my gratitude to this lovely family palace! The elegance of the place and the kindness of the staff is incredible. A special thank you to Prakash, who took really good care of me when I had a Fever, and let me in the room even if I had a check out. Brought me the doctor, etc… as a solo traveler, and a woman, I felt extremely safe! The location is just the best, very quite etc… if you are lucky, the owner invites often classical musicians to the place
