Hotel Garni Alpenstern

This was our first visit to Ischgl (although we have visited many ski resorts in Austria). First impression, it was too far out of Ischgl. However, this made our stay even more special. This family run hotel is beautiful with stunning views, a great little bar, excellent breakfast and a fantastic taxi service by the hotel. For only one euro per person (yes one euro!) they will take you to town and collect you at anytime up to 7pm. After that the cost is slightly more, but such a brilliant service. Our room was lovely, excellent shower too. Isgchl is pretty lively (if that's what you want), but if you don't, there's plenty of peaceful bars for a drink. We discovered the lovely authentic Cafe Loba in a quiet area. Lovely atmosphere and excellent food. I can 100% recommend this hotel. Perfect in every way.

We had an incredible week at this charming hotel in Ischgl! The cozy and clean atmosphere, coupled with the warmth of the young family hosting, made it a delightful stay. Although a bit of a walk from the ski area, the convenient 1 euro shuttle service ensured easy access. The tasty and varied breakfast, well-maintained rooms, ski facilities, evening sauna, and delicious pizza made my vacation truly enjoyable. The friendly staff's readiness to assist added a special touch to the experience. Highly recommend for a lovely getaway!

It was a great winter experience for our extended family. We had two apartments. Both of them had nicely equipped kitchen and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Additional mattress on a couch bed was a great improvement. I wish all the hotels would do that. The hotel was spotless. Everyday cleaning service took care about apartments and common areas as well. Nice saunas and a lounge room, where we could spend the evenings was a great improvement to our stay. The hotel is a great place to stay for a few days.

I recently stayed at the hotel and had an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast. The hotel offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious and fresh. I loved starting my day with such a great meal. The rooms were also fantastic. They were super clean and spacious, and I appreciated the fact that they were cleaned every day. It was also a nice touch that they had a different pattern for blankets every day, which made the room feel more unique and personalized. The shuttle service and SPA included was also a real bonus, that makes the hotel definitely value for money. They also have a restaurant running 2 hours for dinner with specific themed menu , this year is a pizza menu. Finally , the location is near to Ischgl, 20 min walking distance and accessible with bus. Personally, I loved the view and the quiet area. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff, breakfast, rooms, and amenities were all top-notch.

We had a economy room and it was lovely. It had a little bench, a big bed, television and a closet. Everything was very clean and the bed was really fine. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink. It was also very clean and big enough. Everything looked really new. The breakfast was lovely. Enough choice and everything tasted as good as possible. The location is near a village, you should walk 10-15 minutes to reach it. The sight is fine.

Very good hotel! the rooms are clean and spacious! Very tasty breakfasts! And separately, i can single out Florian who will help in any situation or bring / pick up to the ski lifts or advise really delicious restaurants in the city center. The spa area is great too! I will definitely come back here!

Rooms are very average. Location is 20 minute walk to center. They offer shuttle for 1 euro per way. No breakfast included. Cleaning fee 16 euro per person. If you are not renting a car and must take the bus to Ischgl from Landeck train station, the hotel's bus stop is right on the main rode. So on your return to the train station, you must stand to wait for the bus on this main rode full of traffic, cars going 60. Location of hotel - not a convenient way to travel particular when carrying skis and bags. Beds are ok and pillows too soft -felt like you had nothing under your head. Hotel host is so cold. Cant get a smile out of her even when you make compliments to lighten her up. My travel companion is Swiss and even him being Swiss, made comments to this woman hosts dry, cold reception. For the price they charge, you can get a much better hotel in the center and have all the conveniences and still be in a quiet, scenic hotel with warm greetings. I am in the tourism industry. I check out hotels and give reviews. The hotel has a 40% non refundable fee before 30 days cancellation and 70% less than 30 days and 90% less than a week.

My group (3 dads with their 5 boys) stayed at the Alpenstern for the second time. We were not disappointed. The hotel continues to be neat and clean and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We rented the hotel shuttle bus every morning (1euro / person) to get to the lifts just as they opened and thereby avoiding long lift lines that formed soon after opening times. Last year the ski bus always got us there too late and we were packed into the bus like sardines.||||The breakfast is very good and plentiful. We had a few dinners there as well and the "Alpenstern Burger" was a big hit with the group this year. Bring your appetite because the food was plentiful at a reasonable price.||||They have a separate building right beside the hotel which we called the "Chill Room". Lots of poker and other cards games were enjoyed there. ||||I hope they install an outdoor hotub before we arrive next year! The view from the hotel and looking over Ischgl is quite nice.||||The hotel is in a quiet area, if you are looking for the party scene you'll need to be in town or be prepared to take a taxi or walk the 20 minutes. Apres Ski scene was great by the way.||||The skiing at this resort was outstanding once again.
