Hotel Garni Brugger

Even on our very short stay we got the feeling of what a truly lovely place Hotel Garni Brugger is. Here we were greeted by warm and sincere staff. Everything from the rooms, breakfast and cleaning was great. All in all a super cozy place with a high standard and lovely staff definitely a place we would recommend and return to

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Garni Brugger! The room was super clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh choices, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Lindau Island, just a short walk to the lake and harbor. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lindau!

A family run hotel in Lindau. The owner and staff are very freindly. |Location, walking distance to everywhere. |We stayed in the old part of the hotel which is a walk up ( no elevator) up to the third floor ( that is 4th floor in the US ). |Room is spacious with the basic amenities , refrigerator, non-smart TV.|Beds were too soft for us and was sinking in the middle. Replacing the beds would be top priority for comfortable sleep.|Breakfast was good.

Very good room with nicely sized bathroom and shower. Conveniently located to shopping area and Christmas market. Within walking distance of Lindau Reutin train station. Staff was wonderful in accommodating our large family group at breakfast; even remembered our coffee orders.

We stayed here for a week on a Bodenseewoche which gives free access to boats, museums, cable cars, etc. The hotel is conveniently located at the end of the road bridge to the island. Rooms are in two separate buildings joined by a private courtyard. Our room was comfortable with a tiny balcony overlooking the courtyard. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of cooked and cold food. Best of all were the staff who were unfailingly friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Brugger without hesitation.

I absolutely enjoyed my 3-day stay at this lovely place! I found my room and the hotel in general very cozy and clean. The breakfast consisted of a variety of options, for all possible tastes. It was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant made me feel at home. The family who run the hotel are truly kind and helpful: they gave me very nice tips. :) And the location is just perfect - on the island, but also close to the mainland. When I go to Lindau again, I will not search for another place: I will directly call at Garni Brugger!

Charming hotel! Extremely friendly staff, clean rooms, towels replaced every day, nice interior, and a great breakfast! What more can you want? Location was on the island on the outskirts, so not in the busy city center. Prices were a bit on the high side, but this, of course, was the high tourist season so can’t really compare to other hotels nearby.

This hotel earned its 5 stars because of its staff. I don’t normally name staff in reviews, but Evelin welcomed us as if we were family. She showed patience (3 x kids in tow), explained things in German and English, carried a bag, paid particular attention to the needs of our children, created conversation at breakfast, offered recommendations for things to do and where to eat, and was just kind kind person. The hotel is narrow, and it’s two separate buildings so you may have to navigate from one to the other, but the rooms are worth it. Clean, comfortable, and the rooms are large. Very large for Europe and/or American standards. The hotel is situated right on the edge of the “walking area” and you are near everything you need to be near for vacation. The check in is efficient and welcoming. The rooms nice. The breakfast is typical German fare. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed for this price point in Lindau.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and found it to be a really nice family- run hotel who did everything to help. A lovely warm place to holiday but I prefer to climb in Sonthofen area. The island doesn't take long to get round and there is good diverse range of food available. You will not be disappointed having a short break here.
