Hotel garni Klaret

I visited Valtice for a family get-together with my parents and my brother's family. The hotel is newer and quite modern. Our rooms were clean. They were able to accommodate us and add one more bed to one of the rooms. Some of the rooms have entry from the courtyard, some of them from the hall inside. There is outdoor seating and the hotel serves breakfast. Unfortunately, as I grew up in the region and consider myself a local, even though I don't live in the Czech Republic any more, I cannot comment on the staff's knowledge of English or attitude toward foreign customers. Most guests I encountered were also from the Czech Republic. They have a grill in the back and there was an option to order a grilled meal for dinner (before 11 a.m.) out of 3 options every day. We took advantage of this one night and the food was excellent. Just the portions were not very big. One nice thing was a sommelier on site, who was in until about 10 p.m., so we could order wine or slivovitz to take to your room or enjoy drinks outside or inside in the breakfast area. The rooms are air-conditioned, which came in very handy, since at the time we visited, it was 42C (over 100F). Staff was very helpful and this place seemed ideal for families with small children. Since my brother has two little ones, the sommelier on site and seating right outside his room was perfect--we could still enjoy some nice wine and adult conversation in the evening without having to get a babysitter or going out and having to leave an adult behind to watch the kids.||||The only thing that was missing were refrigerators in the rooms. Since the hotel does not have a restaurant, it would come in handy. Especially in the hot weather. Also, their selection of snacks (with the drinks) was quite limited.

This is a small family owned hotel, which is on the outskirts of the town. The town centre is only a short (5-10min) walk. It has a lovingly restored cellar where you can have a private party, dinner or wine tasting. The staff is very friendly and helpful, with lots of useful tips. The hotel also hire bicycles (this is a great area to be explored by bike). The hotel comes with its own very knowledgeable and friendly sommelier. The wines are extensive, very good and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast is varied and both continental (cold) and English (hot) styles are available. The swimming pool and patio with lounges is also a welcome addition. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel.

Valtice is small city and this hotel, even if being at the road already leaving Valtice, is still 5 minutes by walk to the center. The wine cellars are everywhere around. Comfortable parking in the orchard (entrance is from the road heading to the state border - to Schrattenberg). Nice swimming pool. Breakfast is rich and you can dine outside, which is nice start of the day. Rooms are relatively spacious, beds are not that soft but very comfortable (if you suffer sometimes back pains, you will sleep very well here).

Wonderful place! The hotel met all our expectations - rooms are pleasant and comfortable, service is very friendly. Another advantage is the varied and delicious breakfast. The hotel also provides parking spaces in its own courtyard.

I stayed in this hotel for about 3 nights. I was attending my friend wedding. The hotel is great, the service is way above average, in fact it's excellent. Loved the food and the location. The rooms are very clean with good space. Wifi is very good. Highly recommend for all types including kids. The people who are managing the hotel are extremely hospitable and always make you feel comfortable and at home. |

Stayed here for a weekend with family, very clean and pleasant. Rooms ate big and great pool in garden which kids love.||||Breakfast was good although would be good to have fruit too. In evening thry have a wine cellar which although small is nice.||||Staff very friendly and i would recommend it. Its not directly on square, so its quiet as well.||||Valtice is very nice and lots of cycle paths to go on.

Family run pension 5 minutes walk from the heart of Valtice, part of the UNESCO heritage Lednice – Valtice cultural landscape. ||Valtice is a small town famous for wines and its baroque castle.||The rooms are clean with a double bed, a small wardrobe, two chairs, table and TV. The bathroom had shower (some rooms with a bath).||Very good breakfast with wide choice of food.

I have nothing to say about the cleanliness and location which were very good. However, I did not like this hotel because of very cold and non-hospitable atmosphere charged with some tension on the part of the owners, especially the lady (i supposed she was the owner). I wish them to be more communicable & customer- oriented, especially during checkout process.
