Hotel Garni Lavendel

We stayed for a week at the end of January 2025. Garni Lavendel is a delightful small family-run hotel in a great location in Lech. Free parking was available directly outside the hotel. There is also an underground car park immediately adjacent to the hotel but if this is full, there is also a large municipal underground car park about 3 mins walk from the hotel. The nearest InterSport for ski/snowboard rental is Dorf 256 and this is less than 100 steps from the front door of the hotel. The hotel has a handy boot room for skis and boots so there is no need to use a ski locker at InterSport. The hotel is under 2 minutes walk to the Schlosskopf lift and under 5 minutes walk to where Ski-Schule Lech is based and the gondola to Oberlech, Bergbahn lift and Rufikopfbahn lift. For those wanting to get to Zurs, St Christophe or St Anton quicker than using the lift system, the ski bus goes from Schlosskopf lift so is very close to the hotel. Overall the location is excellent. Breakfast is beautifully prepared with a daily mix of fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt, cured meats, cheese, fresh bread, croissants and eggs. There is no dinner served in the hotel but there are plenty of places nearby and no issues getting reservations. We enjoyed eating at Don Enzo (Italian), Schneggarei and Der Berghof restaurant in Lech and Burg hotel in Oberlech was particularly good. In under 2 minutes walk from the hotel is Plangger Lech, a small deli with seating inside for about 15-20 people max - we found this place to be great for a quiet apres ski stop on the way back to the hotel. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the beds very comfortable and we had a great view up the hill to Oberlech.

Perfectly situated, right opposite the cable car towards the Lech slopes, a few minutes walk to the village centre, the ski bus stop right outside but still on a calm street. A very traditional and cosy Austrian alp hotel run by two nice and extremely service minded ladies. They sorted everything we asked for with a smile. Everything was convenient, from the ski equipment room right next to the entrance, to the ski pass service and the bread delivery with freshly baked bread at the door at 7 o’clock in the morning. We stayed in a spacious apartment with everything you needed and with impeccable cleaning every day. We highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to.come back.

Staying at Hotel Lavendel feels like staying at a friends house. The owners Caroline and Brian are so welcoming and our bedroom not only was extremely comfortable but had a fab view of the mountains. The hotel is perfectly positioned in Lech close to all the lifts and there's a super cute wine bar next door! Breakfast is also absolutely delicious and really set us up for the day. Thank you very much Lavendel - now we have discovered you, I think we will make this trip an annual visit!

A beautiful hotel with easy access to the lifts and restaurants that Lech has to offer. Ideally positioned next to the bakery, ski hire and very close to the bus. Rooms are spacious, serviced by a lift and the drying room is on the same floor as the entrance. Downstairs is set out well with amusements for children and a couple of saunas for adults. Caroline is professional but very friendly at the same time. Caroline gave excellent advice regarding restaurants in the area. I would certainly stay again.

Myself and my dad stayed here for 3 nights on a last minute ski trip. The location was absolutely perfect, right next to Intersport, the main gondola and a few lovely restaurants (Olympia was our favourite). Caroline couldn’t do enough for us and even sorted our ski passes in-house. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very homely and spacious. There is also a sauna on site as well as a ski/boot room. We had one of the apartments which would be perfect for two couples or a family. We would 100% recommend anyone coming to Lech to stay here!

Hotel Lavendel is a gem of a hotel. Caroline Kennedy is incredibly warm, friendly and, most importantly, helpful when it comes to planning your trip. The rooms were lovely - clean and comfortable. And the location cannot be beat - steps away from the gondola to Oberlech as well as the main part of town where there is a great apres ski scene, shopping, and restaurant. Finally, breakfast was perfect way to start the day for a full day of skiing.

Caroline is the ultimate host/owner. So kind so considerate. All the staff take their behaviour from that. It’s a superb place to stay in Lech. The rooms are excellent, breakfasts really good and it’s nicely sized in terms of number of rooms. Great basement too….which we only discovered when leaving! Fab place - we plan to return!
