Hotel garni Paleta

What a wonderful week. The hotel is very central to many places of interest, both in town and also famous places like Lake Bles, Bohinj, Ljulblana, Soca valley among others. Igor and his wife were very nice. Very good breakfast. Igor was very kind and also gave us tips of other places to visit. Thanks Igor, we appreciated a lot your friendship.

This was my favorite stay during my vacation in Slovenia. Igor, the owner, puts a lot of care into the property and the comfort of his guests. If you love history, charm and a cozy stay, Hotel Garni is the place for you. Rooms were impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and featured local baked goods. Location was fantastic. Igor goes above and beyond giving a personal touch to the experience. We learned so much from him about the local area and history of the region. He also gave us incredible tips on hidden gems to explore. Highly recommend!

Best hotel ever. Igor is the host with the most! We’ve stayed there many times. Room with a view of the river and church, full breakfast in a 600 yr old dungeon. Best AC in Europe! What more could you want?? Right in the center of town. Just go and don’t look back.

We stayed here for 5 nights, using this as a base to explore Ljubljana, Bled, Predjama, etc. as well as Skofja Loka. The hotel was very comfortable and breakfast was great! Igor was a wonderful host and provided a lot of interesting information about the history of the area as well as helpful maps and suggestions for our excursions. Our rooms had a view of the river and we could walk to restaurants, shops and the castle - it is a small town so everything is close. We highly recommend this hotel!

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our family holiday in Slovenia. Hotel Garni is a gem of a small hotel, in a wonderful location on the river in Skofja Loka. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable, including air conditioning which was a blessing in the very hot weather this month. Igor who runs the hotel was very friendly with lots of local knowledge, and was able to provide gluten free breakfast options. Thank you for a great stay!

This is a splendid little place, overlooking the river Sora, in Skofia Loka. Unlike some of the B&Bs we've reviewed the Hotel Garni Paleta is not hard to find. In fact you absolutely can't miss it as you drive down to the river. You can put your car into the little alley next to the Hotel to offload luggage. Hotel parking is close by.||||This place has been developed out of his former family home by Igor, your host. Our room was clean, bright and modern, and overlooked the river. Its twin beds were on a mezzanine level, reached by a steep little spiral ladder. Cooling and wifi were both excellent.||||Breakfast is served in the newly refurbished former wine vault which also has river views. It was Continental, with excellent coffee, various breads, cheese and meats, and some fruit.||||We really cannot fault this B&B, and thoroughly recommend it. We are also grateful to Igor for his suggestions on our onward travels in Slovenia.

We had a wonderful stay for one night.The bed was comfortable, not water plentiful and the air conditioner worked a treat. The host was friendly and informative about local attractions and suggested walks. We followed his suggestion for a place for dinner and it was an amazing meal. As we had to leave early the next morning he conviniently packed a bag of breakfast to go, totally unexpected and gratefully appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and have no hesitations in recommending it.

Very kind and hospitable host. 🙂 He was very helpful to show us what more we can visit there. Parking spots are included near the hotel secured by a fence. Clean and cosy room. Sufficient breakfast with local cake and a new year gift. Nice view 😄👌
