Hotel Garni Villa Maria Riva Del Garda

We had the honor of staying at this hotel at the end of May. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Located just a 15-minute walk from the town center, it is a truly wonderful place to relax. The room was very nicely decorated with taste, it was cleaned every day, which shows the owners' concern for its reputation. The hotel has a breakfast option, which we also had. Breakfast is a buffet, everything is always fresh, there is something for everyone to eat. I also recommend the coffee that the owner makes, which is really great. We rate the whole thing 9.5 out of 10. This 0.5 is a small request to the owner of room 108, it is worth looking into the shower cabin, at the shower handle and at the air conditioning controller (these are small things that do not have a big impact. We plan to return to Garda and if we were to rent a hotel somewhere, it would be the same one.

A truly wonderful hotel with equally wonderful staff. While the rooms are quite simple, the place has a special charm that makes it unforgettable. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are spotless, and the owners clearly put their heart into making every guest feel welcome and cared for. I especially appreciated that dogs are welcome — that means a lot. It’s also worth mentioning the free parking available for guests and the reliable Wi-Fi, which made the stay even more convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for warmth, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

Loved my stay in Villa Maria! Excellent location, wonderful breakfast, comfortable clean rooms and the most accommodating and friendly owners and staff.

It’s a fine hotel, bed and breakfast style. I’d go for this option if you are on a budget or just need ~1 night stay. It’s a small house with a bunch of rooms. The room numbering was not very convenient as both room numbers on the first and second floor consisted of three digits starting with “1” which made the rooms a bit harder to locate. Not a bit deal but a bit weird choice. The owners were very welcoming and kind, I wish them all the best. The hotel has a bicycle storage which was spacious and convenient. The rooms were very-very basic even for a 2 star hotel: very cheap materials and pretty out of date: air conditioner did not have any temperature setting, just a roller from min to max. There was no mini fridge in the room. The room had just 2 free sockets, one of them in the bathroom so I had to charge my power bank there. The TV was very very small (again, I’d personally prefer a mini fridge instead). The location was fine but not great: it takes around 8-10 minutes to walk to the city center. It’s all about the price which was not cheap, probably because everything in Riva del Garda is expensive but for the same price I got a hotel way way much better in Trento.

Excellent place to stay. We have been here for the last 3 years. Stayed in the apartment which has 2 double beds 1single bed and 2 bathrooms and kitchen and air conditioning. Breakfast is an option, which is very good. Lovely hosts. Only a 10 minute walk to the lakefront. Plenty of car parking.

Perfect place to stay in Riva. The rooms are very clean, bedsheets and towels changed daily. The localization 5 min on foot to bus station and 10 min on foot to city centre. Breakfasts will fit everyone, made by owner himself. The owner is very helpful and kind. I will definitely come back.

Great hotel, the room was clean and everywhere smelled nice. Breakfast prepared by the owners, free parking and close to the city center. There is a nice terrace on the roof of the hotel. I would come back here again.

Choosing Villa Maria for our stay was a great decision. It is a nice little hotel located just 10 minutes from the waterfront and the city center. The rooms are rather small, but very stylish and clean. We also had a nice mountain view from the room and we especially enjoyed the big terrace where we could hang out in the evenings. Breakfasts were also very tasty. Before our stay I've read that there is not enough choice for breakfast, but unless you are very picky I think you will be satisfied. There were always fresh fruits, cuts of smoked meat and cheese, eggs and homemade cakes so plenty of choice for us. The owner is also very friendly and helpful so do not hesitate to ask him about anything. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and I would definitely recommend it to all my friends.
