Excellent restaurant. Outstanding soups, wonderful salad with chanterelles, out-of-this-world schnitzel with fries. You will love coming here. The service is attentive and friendly.

The food was really good. We didn’t plan lunch on this restaurant but we are surprised by the quality of the food and how fast it arrives. Recommended. We spend around 60 euros for 3 persons just food and drinks.

Was here one year ago and again this past October with my husband, I wanted him to have the same great experience that I had. I can only comment on the restaurant and not the hotel as we did not stay there. The restaurant is very clean, nice looking and I feel that is quite authentic german food. The staff was wonderful and tried very hard to communicate with us as we didn't know any german only english. I love the food and happy to say my husband enjoyed it just as much as I did. Very reasonable as well.

I know that this hotel has renovated and non renovated rooms so therefore my low rating. The room I had was on the most upper floor and especially the bathroom is very poor. It's a pre-fab plastic bathroom and the most irritating item was the water wouldn't flush through so you're standing in ankle high water almost immediately. Water pressure is fine and it's warm water but still, this is not what you expect. The beds are fine. When you want to watch tv it's almost impossible to do because of the distance.||The rest of the stay was fine, quick check-in and the location is perfect. Breakfast is simple but for me always enough (as I'm not a big eater in the morning). Some juices and fresh bread. Coffee and yoghurt and some scrambled egg. Works for me.||The best is the restaurant. Great meals and good beers.||All together it really depends on the room you get so ask for the renovated one!!

Myself and a group of 5 from The American Drama Group Europe stayed at Hotel Zum Anker and could not fault it! Absolutely superb service from all the staff in this hotel and restaurant. The service was so genuine, friendly and efficient. I have rarely experienced such attention to detail delivered with such warmth. The food is delicious and the rooms incredibly comfortable, stylish and clean with very large state of the art flat screen TVs. There was a little refurbishment works going on but done with such a high regard for the guests that it was a pleasure to see the workmen. If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. Congratulations to all the staff at Hotel zum Anker - you are worth your weight in gold. Keep up the brilliant work. I wish that every hotel had your high standards, especially Sebastian and Sarah.

we stayed for three nights. Our room was one of the larger rooms so no complaints there. Bathroom, as others have stated, is a plastic insert that reminded me of a small cruise ship bath. We were in room 10 on 1st floor. No elevator so ask for lower rooms. Beds are not the most comfortable but clean. Hotel restaurant served good, hearty Bavarian food and some of the best I had. this is a very old building so do not expect many modern luxuries. Location of the hotel is the best reason to book.

Damn better than expected. The outside is old but once you are in the room you won't notice that at all. They are renovating the building so it is a bit messy in the hallway and stairs. However, the room is still above expectations compared with the old look. Nice clean bathroom and toilet. Room 26👌

The room was ok but someone went through my stuff and some of my make up went missing. They offered to pay at first but then I was asked what do I expect from them. I bought new make up, the bill was almost 22 euros and the woman asked me if I need the exact amount or will I be happy with 20. A disaster.

Gleich ggü vom Stadttheater viele Regisseure und Künstler werden hier untergebracht, also hat man vllt die chance, den einen oder anderen Schauspieler zu treffen, den man evtl grad noch auf der Bühne gesehen hat;)
