Unfortunately, our stay didn’t live up to expectations. The photos on the website were quite different from reality — the hotel felt a bit tired, especially the carpeted floors, and the overall atmosphere lacked the charm we were hoping for. The room was small, which was fine, but not as it appeared online. Breakfast was very basic, the staff was nice though. Also, having to leave our room key at reception every time we left the hotel was unusual and a bit inconvenient. Wouldn’t stay again.

very nice hotel, chic and different vibe and super cool interior!! reception staff super lovely, catering and helpful as we were english and didn’t know a whole lot of french unfortunately! ||Rooms were super clean and beds new matresses and comfy.||Option to pull the double bed apart into twin beds.||The open door windows were gorgeous and gave you the parisian feel!||Bathroom nice and clean with great utilities such as argan oil shampoo||||Hotel is 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station Pont Cardinet||||5 minute walk to the best patisserie we’ve ever had, the french bastards!||||Very few nit picks such as the lift was super tiny but wasn’t a problem whatsover||the rooms are also quite small but was perfectly fine for 2 people but wouldn’t recommend for big families ||the bathroom was super clean but the shower was quite odd, more of a mist than water pressure so had to hold onto the shower head but again wasn’t really an issue

More like a 2 star hotel. The room was smelly when we got there. Had to ask for it to be cleaned as there was urine on the floor. Breakfast was good and the coffee. Would not recommend

Five stars all the way! Thank you for a comfortable stay, will definitely be back. I want to mention Lucas, he had excellent customer service, and spoke really great English. Thank you, Hotel Gaston. Aden

A little disappointed overall. The pictures are deceiving. Everything extremely small, basic and rooms a little tired looking. Location is more residential and away from tourist areas. Some nice restaurants locally. 25 minute walk to Champ Elysee and closest metro around 10 minutes walk away. You get what you pay for basically. I won’t return though.

The location is, without question, exceptional—nestled amidst a charming array of fine dining establishments and local gems. Regrettably, the accommodation itself fell short of expectations. The sound insulation was virtually nonexistent; one could distinctly hear fellow guests conversing through the walls, meandering through the corridors, and even the bustle of the street below—our room being on the first floor did little to help. The bathroom was uncomfortably compact, seemingly designed for individuals of diminutive stature, with a tepid shower and a poorly positioned sink that rendered basic use rather awkward. The beds, while soft, were similarly undersized and not suited to anyone over 1.60m in height. The staff, though present, seemed reticent—perhaps hesitant to fully engage with guests. Whether this is a quirk of local custom or a peculiarity of this establishment, I cannot say, but the overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. Would I return? In all honesty, I think not.

Wonderful experience staying here. The room was clean, quaint, and quiet. The only hiccup was the shower/bath as it had one of those half-doors so water got everywhere and sometimes it would randomly get scalding hot. However, this was a small issue as I was still able to shower, wash my (very thick) hair, and enjoy my stay. The staff was helpful in recommendations, location of public transit, and they even offered to mail postcards (that were already stamped and addressed) on my behalf. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again and I have already recommended it to my friends. Notes: It was a safe area (as a solo female traveler), close to a few different metro lines, and there was/is a lovely restaurant on the opposing street corner for a quick bite. Likewise, the hotel had options as well. Additionally, if you are headed to Paris La Defense Arena for a show, this is the perfect place - very quick train trip as the station was less than 10 min walk away.
