Hotel Gat Rossio

We spent four nights here and loved it. The location is convenient to both Restauradores and Rossio metro stations. It was easy to get here from the airport. The staff were great and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. If you are a light sleeper, you might wish to use earplugs as there is definitely early morning noise from the street. It didn't bother us. We will certainly stay here on our next trip to Lisbon.

We stayed here 2x during our 10 day trip to Portugal. Hotel is the things it should be: clean, safe, great location, and friendly professional staff. The bad reviews you see on this hotel are comparing this to a 5 star hotel experience with 5 star amenities as if Gat Rossio claims to be a luxury hotel. The room was not plentiful in space, but that’s not an issue for us as we just used it to sleep and shower. We had more than enough space for 2 people for our luggage to be laid out and open, get ready, and relax. For the noise people mention, this hotel is on a side street with restaurants. The street is emptied and quiet around 11. We had a street facing room and were able to sleep well when we went to bed before closing time. If you are an early to bed person who doesn’t do noise well, maybe this isn’t the place for you. But the location outweighs any noise in my opinion. This is a great landing pad for travelers who don’t spend a lot of time in their rooms but want to have a safe and central place to stay. They also have a lovely patio on the 1st floor where you can enjoy a night cap or a morning coffee. We have nothing bad to say about this hotel!

Nothing special except that it is very close to the city center, you can find better alternative for this price range. Although we specifically stated that we wanted 2 separate beds, we were given a room with a king size bed without prior notice and it was not changed with the explanation that the hotel was full. The room was so so so small, we barely walk around the bed. There was a gap of 50-60 cm between the bathroom door and the bed. Funny situations can happen if one of you is trying to sleep and other one doing his/her thing in the toilet.

It was a very pleasant experience next to a metro station (Restauradores). Very convenient for not carrying around luggage. The stuff is very helpful,kind and eager to help. Rooms are clean. Clean towels every day.

This was perfect for our one night stay in Lisbon! It was a central location to many restaurants and the meeting places for tours. It was very well priced compared to other hotels around. The staff were so kind.

Very very kind and accommodating staff! They let me store my luggage both before check in and after check out for free due to some unexpected flight changes, and they were super helpful! Room quality was exactly as described, and ideal location.

Room was small. The bathroom was really small. The sink did not drain well. Investing in a bigger shower curtain would keep the bathroom drier. I booked the room months ahead and requested two beds. Disappointed the request was not fulfilled. The person at the desk said we should ask the next day and gave us no additional instructions. When we asked the next day he was rude and not helpful. Very convenient location but it is loud outside but that is to be expected being in the city center. Very convenient to the metro. Good A/C.

Even when we arrived before check-in, they kindly let us store our luggage until the room was ready. While the room was on the smaller side, it was just the right size for me, my partner, and our luggage. The hotel’s central location made it easy to walk to nearby restaurants, cafés, shops, and major tourist attractions. The property also offers convenient amenities like an outdoor terrace, comfortable lounge areas, vending machines, and a breakfast service for around €15–16 per person. Overall, Hotel Gat Rossio is a clean, affordable, and well-located hotel that provides everything you need for a comfortable stay in Lisbon. Highly recommended!
