Hotel Gat Rossio

Great location. Good breakfast with variety of choices. The room was clean but very very small (no chair or even space to open luggage properly). The 2-star ranking shows in no extra towels (only 1 for both face and hands), no kettle/tea/coffee/fridge in the room, sink right by the bed, and very modest room amenities overall. The staff at check-in overlooked that my reservation already included breakfast. If I haven't double checked when I got back to my room, they would have charged me twice. Overall, I believe it is a bit overpriced for what you get.

Hotel Gat has a great location, especially for dinning and night time activity. The view from the room was very nice. The shower was high pressure and hot, which is exceptional. Having mulitiple sitting rooms in the hotel was pleasant. Your service was kind. It would be nice if breakfast started at 630am, we paid 45 euros and missed a breakfast. It would be nice if you refilled hand wash, mosterizer and coffee. There was only three coffees for 3 people for 4 days. Early check-in or at least 2pm check-in would be nice. Chairs instead of stools would be more comfortable during breakfast.

Check in was painless. Receptionist was so lovely. I was early and she took my bag so I could go explore. Clean rooms which had a modern vibe (except shower). Safe. Labelled buttons above bed so you know what you're switching on/off. It was quiet apart from the evening I checked in. It sounded like teenagers running around squealing however I never heard anything thereafter. Situated near to tourist sites. Not as cheap as other cities but compared to the others hotels, the cost was lower. Fair options for breakfast. Staff were great. No regrets.

This hotel is literally THE best hotel in Lisbon, best location, awesome breakfast like a 5 star hotel! And really clean and nice people too, on the front desk there was a lady named Ana which was super nice and helpful, great choice for the front desk, and also for the price you pay, you really get great service, my room was cozy and enough for one person of course, bedsheets and everything was clean, I tried other neighborhoods but I think this neighborhood was the best among all of them, the only thing that was a surprise to me, was that there were no sleepers in the room which was a first to me but maybe that’s a thing in Portugal, I’m not sure :) you could take some with you if that could be a problem for you, in general it was so good and much higher than what I was expecting honestly, thank you!

My mom and I stayed here for 5 nights in August 2025 and we really enjoyed it! The entrance was a bit hard to find because it is just a single door with not a huge sign. We arrived and there was a power outage due to construction and they were very nice and accommodating with us- very grateful for that! It is in a nice central location close to restaurants, things to do, and near the subway station.

Hotel's location is very central. It is very near to metro and bus stations. Breakfast is great, staff are friendly. Rooms are clean but very small. We had a problem. We were a group of 18. I made double rooms with single beds but when we arrived in the hotel they said they had no single bed rooms. So, most of the group had to sleep in double beds. That was disappointing. There were cheaper and more beautiful hotels with double beds, but I made reservation because of the single beds. So, if you are not a couple and need single beds, approve before your arrival. Because I don't think they have many single beds.

We spent four nights here and loved it. The location is convenient to both Restauradores and Rossio metro stations. It was easy to get here from the airport. The staff were great and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. If you are a light sleeper, you might wish to use earplugs as there is definitely early morning noise from the street. It didn't bother us. We will certainly stay here on our next trip to Lisbon.

Really loved staying at this hotel. It was right in the middle of everything. Everyone who worked there was very nice. Helped with everything we needed. If you arrive before check-in, they will store your bag safely for you. There is no mini fridge or microwave so extended stays that can get a little tricky for water and no leftovers. But other than that, everything else was perfect. Would highly recommend for a short stay. I also loved the look of the hotel, it was very charming.

Finding a hotel in a new city can be tough. I decided that one of my big criteria (besides price) was that as befits a Yelp-junkie, I needed wifi. I was a little hesitant when I first found this hotel (booked through their website)...the reviews here weren't great but I found others that were good AND they had a single room at a good price, so I jumped. As I only needed a room for 2 nights, I went ahead and prepaid a month out to get the best rate. WOW! I was so impressed with this hotel from start to finish. The layout is gorgeous. Rooms are modern and sleek but the charm of the original building still shines through. Loved all of the green neon...and that I was able to close shutters to block it out. The common areas were great and the breakfast (came with my room pricing) was delicious and the area was spacious. Egg custards for breakfast!!! My bed was comfortable and the elevator was a good size for an older building. Seriously I loved the space so much that I did some research to see where else the hotel is located. So I guess Berlin & Barcelona, here I come! FYI: city tax to be paid in cash as you check out. I think it was a euro per night.

Truly amazing experience at Hotel Gat Rossio! The rooms are nice and clean with beautiful floor to ceiling windows that open to a rail. There is air conditioning in all the rooms and they are cleaned every day. The bathroom towels were large and the bed in the "superior room" was a king sized bed. They have an open concept closet which was really cool and convenient. There was a desk in the room as well. I lucked out and had the corner room that had three large windows. There is a locker in the room to lock up small belongings. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I enjoyed every encounter with every staff member especially Deborah who gave me many recommendations for places to go and even researched best ways for me to get to the nude beaches! The breakfast is delicious and provides many options including oat milk for those who are gluten-free or vegan. They are also very environmentally friendly and conscious of things like food waste and plastic use. I look forward to my next visit here in Lisbon where I would definitely stay at Hotel Gat Rossio.

This hotel was a great find - very close to the central train station, on a quieter side alley off of the main road. The basic room is super small for two people, but it was perfect for this solo traveller. The front desk offered a warm welcome and great service, offering me a to-go breakfast for my early flight. Plus - it is a super cool decor (and I'm not a fan of cats). If you are a fan of undiscovered boutique, local hotels, this is a great choice in Lisbon.

Ver very different hotel this in the heart of Lisbon , the prices are affordable rooms are very minimulastic but very practical and comfortable. The hotel is cat themed . The metro station is is 2 mins away , at least 10-15 restaurants are close by . I have attached pics of everything needed to know so please free to check

Love, love, loved this hotel. 200 meters from Coliseu for concerts. Great comfy bed, fun decor and the staff was wonderful working with my mobility disability. Now my favorite Lisbon Hotel (I live in Lagos). The breakfast was confusing, you have to cook your own boiled egg. We didn't know and had raw eggs LOL. Deluxe in comfort and fun. Very clean and hip.
