Very good place to stay in Barcelona, right next to La Rambla. The room was clean, beautiful, well equipped and had great views, and I appreciate the fact that they have 24hr plugs so you can charge things even if you're outside the room, which is something not many hotels do. I would definitely come back!

Stayed at the Hotel Gaudi in June 2025. Had an excellent say! Room was beautiful with all amenities needed for a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. We unexpectedly received a complementary bottle of champagne for my husband's birthday from the hotel without ever having mentioned that is was his birthday! The roof top area is beautiful and the bartender was the sweetest person and very attentive! Would absolutely stay here again! The elevators and elevator space was limited but we worked around it. It's an old building which has been renovated beautifully!

I found the staff very unhelpful and dusmissive. Not told we had to pay a tax. Hotel very central. Room was very basic but clean. Had to go back down for a key for the safe. Lovely view of the street with quaint window and shutters. There was a menu in the room also said you could get dinner. Asked at reception they don't have dinner at the hotel but could order it in tge girl said. We just went out. Breakfast was very very poor. There was scrambled egg but it never was, it was all water and not very much egg. Not very much to choose from.

Stayed for two nights in May. Had researched the previous reviews for hotels in the area and booked at the Gaudi. Very good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Our room on the first floor of rooms (the actual 1st floor is the restaurant and lounge which looked really nice but we did not use) was a reasonable size, very clean modern and comfortable with a nice shower room. It had a tiny "Juliet" balcony. Nicely appointed roof terrace with views across the city and onto the Palau Guell roof opposite. Facility for leaving luggage and collecting later in the day and changing if needed. |Really enjoyed our stay there and would thoroughly recommend. Only small downside is the street noise in the evening but that would be the same anywhere in the narrow streets. Higher level rooms would be less of an issue. Would certainly return to this hotel if in Barcelona again!

I come every year for more than ten years and every year i am more happy in my staying, more sad when i leave.. Thats why this time i want to return earlier than usual. Because this hotel is our home and these people, once you know them you love them forever. I have no negative comments, only positive, only bright impressions and strong sentiments. The room i stay, on the 6th floor, is an experience for all day. The view, the sun, the city lights, Palau Guell, the port, Monjuic, the sea gulls, Nou de la Rambla. on the left facing Ramla, on the right Raval, all day movement and yet no noise,Barcelona in our terrace. The room inside is the same beautiful. With space, brightness, very confortable bed, view also..and the most important a room that reminds you home and not hotel. The breakfast room has fantastic view and fresh products in variety. The bar stays open until 23.00 offering drinks, snacks. light meals, atmosphere.. The room service is also available. In the reception you found politiness, smile, professionalism, friendship. The architecture of the hotel, the pictures, the decor, from the entrance to the suimming pool on the top, all suit to the city, to Gaudi, to the joy. Barcelona that i love so much, for so many reasons, is not the same far from Gaudi hotel, for so many reasons also.

The hotel is in a great location. Right off the Ramblas and close to the old quarter. Across the street from Palau Guell. A few blocks from the Market. It is well appointed and has A very nice breakfast room, you can include it in your stay or pay as needed. There is a nice rooftop area that offers nice views of the city. The elevators take a little getting used to.

Loved this hotel. We arrived early and wanted to walk Las Ramblas so they locked our luggage in a room for a few hours. Small elevators. Room was super clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was wonderful. It was in a beautiful large room with quite a selection of food.

Hotel staff were great, couldn't have been more helpful and that's why I've scored it high. We were staying here whilst the major power outage happened and they provided water to all guests. On the day we left, having checked out in the morning we were able to store luggage and came back to use the toilets.||The breakfast was OK...maybe a little basic as just continental and I'm not sure it was worth the price but we found it easier to have breakfast at the hotel rather than look for breakfast. Location is perfect, just off La Rambla so easy to reach the market, bars and shops as well as a short walk to the cathedrals or down to the harbour and Barceloneta beach. ||Rooms themselves are quite dated but clean and comfortable. Shower is hot and powerful. Wardrobe space is OK for a couple of days worth of clothes. ||We did visit the rooftop but they were having some repair work done on the decking so we didn't spend any time there. I would stay here again if visiting Barcelona.

Yelp
The Mr and I recently enjoyed a five night stay at the Hotel Gaudi. Pros: *Clean, comfortable room *Well located and in close proximity to restaurants, shops, and the metro. *Pleasant rooftop for gathering. *Free WiFi that worked well *Breakfast with lots of choices. Cons: *Wimpy hair dryer *Rooftop pool was not really a pool but more like a long swallow trough. I would definitely return to the Hotel Gaudi or recommend it to friends and family if in Barcelona!

Yelp
***BEDBUGS *** ** BEDBUGS Stay away THE WORST HOTEL !! there were bedbugs and an infestation of small flies and no working a/c, and this hotel is in the slums of Barcelona ( Las Rambas) When we alerted the front desk about the bedbugs and the flies, hotel staff came up to our room with bedbug spray (i was shocked) and was told they no more rooms available amd they cannot chamge our room. When complained about the a/c, earlier in the day, they came and claimed to have turned it on...NOT ! Ithe ro never went below 90 degress ! We did check out immediately after discovering tue bedbugs. And when asked about our refund, the young man at the front desk told us he cannot give us a refund and we will have t9 call in tue morning because he cannot get in contact with his "boss". I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Yelp
Stayed here for 9 nights. Location is excellent and near Boquiria and Rambla. Sink was plugged so it took 2 requests to get it fixed. No clock, refrigerator, coffee maker or door peep hole in the room. Room is ready at 3pm. Tried to get in earlier since we arrived at 8am after flying all night. No such luck. You get what you paid for. Pro: convenient to everything . Palau Galau is across the street Lots of places to eat nearby Changes towels and empty trash daily Con; cleaning is not up to par Hair or trash left behind Toilet not cleaned often Soap and shampoo not filled often

Yelp
There were multiple things about this hotel I wasn't keen on but then multiple things I loved. The good: The balcony is phenomenal. The rooftop terrace is also phenomenal. There is a very small (by American standards elevator). The breakfast is great and free. I'm gluten free and I saw a few gluten free items and took a picture for the yelp review. The attendant later asked if I was gluten free and then brought me out gluten free breads and muffins. I particularly love European continental breakfast as it's primarily meats/cheeses/veggies but to have this option plus gluten free breads and muffins was beyond expected. The bad The bed linens are not very soft The beds are hard I couldn't figure out how to work the air conditioning or find a remote so I woke up freezing at 4 am and used blankets from the extra bed. Yes, the hair dryer looks like a vacuum. On a weird note the balcony had floor length curtains covering it. We thought it was a window until the next morning when we went to open the curtains and realized we had a beautiful balcony ‍ Hopefully this review helps you decide if this hotel will be for you!

Yelp
First of all booking .com blows! You buy You can't refund and the added fees sweet in. The hotel the. Asked for another fee at check in the stated was a tax? This hotel has absolutely nothing to do with Gaudí and has a cheesy broken tile fountain inside the lobby trying to play up the trademark infringement. Desk staff was very nice . Elevators blow , as they are tiny, hot. The rooms are smaller then the photos The beds suck and the TVs are flat screens from when they first made flat screens. You are literally 2 minutes from the market and the Ramblas. They still give you a safe key and charge you $25 if you lose it. Just seems like they want to charge for anything and everything. The walls are paper thin and the sound travels through bathroom acess vents from rooms above and below. I had to put a towel under the foot of the bed because it squeezed so bad when i turned. Late nighters slam doors at bar time and ya hear it ALL! We woke up to noise daily ,and the cleaning ladies cell or slamming of doors and moving furniture. It's too loud to sleep in ever or leave the balcony open. Location is great. Breakfast average and the place is dated. I would say it's hostelish at best. The positives--- The terrace is awesome with the kiddie pool and great views. Won't be back. Stay at the Hotel Lleo. Much better and closely priced. I couldn't get a room over weekend so I went with this place.

Yelp
I am very shocked by the treatment I have received from this establishment. I attempted to book a room here and due to their websites inability to run properly I never received a confirmation. Since I did not receive a confirmation I was under the impression my booking didn't submit. I was billed for it and when I challenged the charge I received an extremely rude email (picture posted) telling me how I should've reacted in their eyes with a lot of assumptions and just plain disrespectful to me. This is a place I would never recommend because of that. No apology just placing blame on me for their websites malfunction. I cannot believe the condescending tone of their staff.

Yelp
I got the Shaft at Hotel Gaudi. Literally. I booked a room assuming that it would be similar to the photos. NO WAY. THE ROOM WAS AN INTERIOR ROOM WITH THE ONLY WINDOW OPENING INTO AN UGLY INTERIOR VENTILATION SHAFT OPEN ONLY AT THE SKYLINE SEVERAL FLOORS UP. They refused to move me, saying these were the rooms for singles, even though I offered to pay for a double. The bathroom didn't have any windows but it did have YET ANOTHER VENTALIATION SHAFT SHARED WITH AN AJOINING ROOM. Yeah, wow! Use your imagination. Weeks before my trip, I added an extra day without checking the price. They charged me an additional 39E over the original rate without telling me. To add insult to injury (and I do feel quite put out since this was probably my first and last visit to Barcelona) they said breakfast was included, which it wasn't, necessarilly I didn't find out until I got there but they refused to refund it even though I didn't want it. I give it a 2 instead of a 1 because the rooms were clean and the breakfast would have been ok for people just grabbing something very ordinary before heading out.

Yelp
We had a very good stay at Hotel Gaudi. The location is awesome for exploring, and seeing all the sites in Barcelona. I will say, the rooms are small. Our room looked nothing nothing like the photos it was much smaller with a double bed, but since we didn't stay in the room much it worked well for us. It also didn't provide an view other than an interior view of other rooms and an emergency exit staircase. The in room hair dryer was a bit ancient, but it got the job done as I didn't bring a hair dryer on this trip. The hallways are also a bit noisy and you can hear everyone from your room, but the other rooms were quiet so it wasn't a big deal. The view from the top terrace was unbeatable. We got wine from the hotel bar (a bottle for 15 euros) and took it to the top terrace late both nights and enjoyed the amazing views and even live music from a close by rooftop bar. The staff was all very pleasant and most spoke English so we were able to communicate easily. They ordered us taxis and helped us find good places to eat so we didn't end up at the tourist trap restaurants. We included the breakfast in our stay and it was very good with lots of choices and long hours (7am-11am) which was great for our early morning adventures and sleeping in. Overall it was a good stay and I would stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Location: Close to the action. Las Ramblas area. Noise control was horrible. Staff: Rudest staff. Alex the manager yelled at me over a breakfast fee when I had free breakfast in front of everyone in the hotel. The breakfast food is average, good coffee however and service. Room: The room is noisy, no way to contact downstairs with the inside phone. Beds are uncomfortable. People party late night so be aware of that. It was clean, however. Hotel: The hotel was clean and has a fitness center that is fairly good. Overall: I would never come here again. So unhappy with the staff and service I would prefer to be further away from the action but happier.

Yelp
Geographically location of this hotel is great. BUT, don't buy it for that. There is a night club right next door, and after 2AM all "patrons" of this club get out to the street and continue to party there til 4AM. If you like to sleep during the night, do not stay in this hotel!!

Yelp
There is nothing wrong with the hotel- it's clean and it's close to the action. Can it be more updated? Definitely. Are the rooms small? Yes, but it's Europe. It's basically a no frills hotel that's right in the heart of Las Ramblas. I booked it for a conference and I believe it may be a bit pricy, but it does the job and we didn't pay for the hotel so there's not much we can complain about. What else DON'T you get: -a "real" hair dryer. There's something on the wall of the bathroom that resembles a vacuum. It's actually a hair dryer. -there's a radio on your headboard that plays classical music. -you don't have a clock -you don't have an iron -you don't have a coffee maker or mini fridge or microwave (hey, it's not the US) -you DO get free Internet and breakfast -oh there's a gym but it's locked (that just means I didn't see it, but they have one) Overall it does the job and it's at the center of everything. Our room faces the interior which means our view sucks, so see if you can get a street facing room. The beds are ok, a little hard and noisy but I didn't have springs digging at my back.

Yelp
Good location, basic rooms. Breakfast was good with many options. Definitely a 3 Star Hotel and the price was right. Staff was nice. Easy access to airport and metro station. The hotel can be noise as the walls are thin, bring ear plugs and you will be fine.

Yelp
This was our favorite spot on our trip through Spain. We had an amazing room, with direct terrace views of the famous roof of Palau Guell! It was especially breathtaking at night. The rooftop bar was a lot of fun, with 360 degree views of Barcelona. Agree with other commenters that the room decor is dated, but all of the staff were very helpful, friendly and the hotel rooms were clean- we were very happy with this choice!

Yelp
New rooms, great views and wonderful balcony. The upper roof lounge is a must to hang out for an afternoon glass of wine or sunrise coffee. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Right off La Rambla and near the Gothic Quarter and the waterfront.

Yelp
ZERO stars if I could. If you don't like to sleep book here! The beds are awful! I switched rooms thinking I could get lucky with a comfortable bed. WRONG! They are all single beds and super hard. You can feel every spring. For $180 a night you get nothing in the room, no fridge and a view to the slums. It's comparable to a $60 a night cheap Motel 6 type of hotel. Breakfast is just ok too. Because it's a non-refundable booking I had to stay. Now I know why it's non-refundable...people have left! The first time I came to Barcelona I stayed in a $80 a night hotel by the beach near the World Trade Center. It was 5 times better. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!

Yelp
The staff here is very accommodating, multi-lingual, and very helpful. That said, when we were there in late December 2015, they were undergoing some renovations. And it was pretty obvious. The room key holder broke the first time we inserted the room card in it and they had to replace the shower head twice. Once because it was just not staying in the holder and the second time because the replacement's screen broke off. The staff must know about this since when we told them about these issues, they didn't seem surprised and the issues were fixed immediately. We got a free complimentary continental breakfast buffet that was standard, but tasty and hit the spot. The room was spacious for what we paid, overlooked the Palace Gaudi, but since it faced the street, if it was busy at night, we could hear it. :-\ This is a great value hotel, hopefully once they renovate, it will be an even better value hotel.

Yelp
Really had higher hopes for this hotel. It was booked through a big travel company avanti. The outside is beautiful, but the inside is dated and the beds are uncomfortable. Breakfast is good and a convenient location.
