The staff here is very accommodating, multi-lingual, and very helpful.
That said, when we were there in late December 2015, they were undergoing some renovations. And it was pretty obvious.
The room key holder broke the first time we inserted the room card in it and they had to replace the shower head twice. Once because it was just not staying in the holder and the second time because the replacement's screen broke off. The staff must know about this since when we told them about these issues, they didn't seem surprised and the issues were fixed immediately.
We got a free complimentary continental breakfast buffet that was standard, but tasty and hit the spot.
The room was spacious for what we paid, overlooked the Palace Gaudi, but since it faced the street, if it was busy at night, we could hear it. :-\
This is a great value hotel, hopefully once they renovate, it will be an even better value hotel.
